To stay at the Double Tree you need to use SM's residents pass though, which is a bit more than a normal hotel cost. BUT, you get parties and talks and lots of extras :)

Wont happen for this year, takes a LOT of money to either get the equipment or hire the company to do it. Was it a good plan, yes. Can SM implement it at the snap of a finger? No. Maybe next year.

The showmasters twitter (@showmasters) will most likely announce them too.

2) ONLY if the crew say its ok. Some of the busier guests wont have the queue space to let non-buyers in. Smaller guests will be ok. Same with shoot queues, some of them will be heavily regulated and kept as small as possible to help with times. so again any non-ticket holders will have to leave.

See but Fillion did MK a few years back without this osrt of announcment, so I doubt it would be him. Shatner would fit though. Usually gtes this sort of announcment, has done it before, is over here anyway. And would suit me fien as I've met him twice and am going to STL late rin the year so it wouldnt cost me money this time.

Well so far what they left out are clues. Not a first timer, either world or SM so it might be someone SM themselves have had before. BUT, big enough (or big enough now) to warrent this type of announcment. I'd say someone like Summer Glau fits so far. She did an SM event and others before, but back when she was little-known. Now she's much bigger and would be a big draw so this sort of thread would fit :)

Well now that I pretty much cant afford...anyone at this event (long story) I'm sort of hoping it isnt anyone I need lol But, SM always pull off someone awesome for these so I bet loads of peeps will be happy

There should be a few SP ones there as that was the last big thing he did. And the reason a load of us are meeting him.

They might do that. But for me? Way different to green screen. I'll get a photo just to be on the birdge. To be on a part of my childhood that dosnt exist, but for one weekend it does and I can touch it and sit on it and be like 'wow...finally' lol That's what is is for me. Screw what anyone says afterwards like 'oh is that greenscreen or a set?'. This shoot (just like all the others) are for me and me alone.

I think so far this is rather prioritised. The Captains will be the most popular guests at the event, so getting everything sorted to have them up this early gives everyone the chance to get them now and for the days they want. The other stuff, yes we want, but can take a little extra time to be sorted because they wont be as in-demand as the Caps. So SM can sort out the details (like which bridge) and such and still get them to the people who want them

Short and non-private answer is: Simple business. Making back what you spent. And luckily SM try to do that in the best way possible (cheapest) for us So the prices you are looking at are pretty much the minimum a business could get away with before losing money.

That dosnt need to be a worry really. You can keep adding photos to your order right up untill the event without having to pay more charges (apart form the price of the shoots themselves) So whether you buy a Captain's shoot now or when the bridge shoots go up, wont make any difference.

I would say no, but just like with any group/pair shots, they may announce costumes ones at some point. But I wouldnt bet on it.

For those who have ordered tickets today for shoots, you pay now right? Or because you are adding it to your order will the shoot/whatever tickets all be processed together on a certain date?

She will be, guests usually are. Whether you will of missed her photoshoot or get so high a VQ ticket that you may not meet her is another story Is there no way at all you cna get there earlier or maybe come down the night before? I really wouldnt recommend getting there so late to meet who will be one of if not THE busiest guest there...

Well I have a few bits of advice about the eXcel, so I can impart those. 1) There are lots of places to eat (someone posted the PDF guide in another thread) BUT around lunch time loads of the places, especially the ones inside the centre, have MASSIVE queues. I would suggest snacks so you cna eat later when it's died down OR eating a bit earlier to beat the rush and then snacking later. 2) Take water/a drink that will keep you refreshed with you. This goes for like, every convention ever lol It gets hot and stuffy around that many people indoors and you'll be walking about and standing up a lot. Keep yourself hydrated. 3) The cash machines inside empty fast on event days and also have massive queues. I suggest getting the cash you need out before you get to the event from somewhere else, plus a little extra just in case. 4) Linked to the above, BUDGET! Plan out the photoshoots (if not got them beforehand) and autographs you want. Then plan a little for food and drink. Then plan some contingency money for anything you may see on the stalls that you'd like to buy or any autographs you want but didnt plan for... ...then plan to bring like £30-40 on top of all that for emergencies/miscalculations There's the basics lol

Well Showmasters will have to answer most of this, but for example when you buy photoshoots online beforehand, you can pick which day you are buying them for. But the rest is for Showmasters.

Usually it's a case of if the event is running, so are the buses. So friday should be fine :)
