Yes. 7 and under are free. Children remain the responsibility of their parent or guardian however; under 14s must be accompanied by an adult. Most of the event should be suitable for children (dependent on their age - obviously babes in arms are unlikely to appreciate guest talks or want an autograph), but common sense should be applied. Bringing very young children to the parties is probably not a good idea. The event cannot supply creche facilities, but we will try and be as child friendly as we can be. Day Passes will only be made available if we don't sell out of the weekend passes. At the moment it looks likely that we won't have any, as sales are steady and strong. Thanks for the response guys I just hope you don't announce anyone too good seeing as we can't come now so can you save Hugo and Orlando for next time please Elfie xx

Hey hun Can't speak for Showmasters as I don't know what they have planned re above, but from previous experiences at other conventions I can say that children are usually allowed and normally you have to pay from the age of 7. Facilities is all down to the venue itself and out of the organisers hands. The Radisson isn't a bad hotel - they are clean and they do (if I remember rightly) have baby changing facilities in their disabled toilets. Day passes - I've not heard anything, but it is quite rare for a convention to do these, unless of course, the event itself hasn't sold out. Hey Jola Thanks for replying I know Showmasters are really busy but they really ought to keep this updated. I'm no longer able to attend a little matter of having another baby due that weekend is kinda stopping me from coming. I thought Roxy would have told you. Anyway will see you at another con thinking of coming to LFCC and C12 (although that's only three weeks before I'm due Eek) anyway hun see you around Elfiexx

With all due respect and in the nicest way possible, they've had a lot of time before collectormania to put answers in this section and they haven't. Unfortunately this isn't the sort of event like Collectormania or LFCC where you can pull out all the stops and announce people a week or two before the event. A lot of people need to know far in advance, like now for example. That said, people don't want a 'don't worry we've got great guests lined up for you' type announcement as that can be quite disappointing when who is finally announced has been to lots of previous SM events (or others). Posts shouldn't be pinned with half a lot of information 'with the rest to follow'. I think everyone would prefer to wait and then have the full lot of info! Or someone should at least have the decency to say, look we're sorry we were unable to sort out special rates so go ahead and book wherever you now can! (I'm not saying that is the case but just for example). Phi We don't agree with much these days I know but you hit the nail right on the head with this. Hence I'm not paying out good money for an event with only 1 announcment Elfie

I'm also not attending now other things have swayed my priorities to not going but I can't believe that both of my messages went without an answer not like Showmasters at all Elfie

Can you please tell me what is going on with Children coming to this event are they allowed what age do we have to start paying for them are there going to be decent facilities for them Also is there any information on the day passes I was going to put down to crew but have decided not to due to other circumstances but it would be nice to have some of these answered ASAP. In your how much is it going to cost thread you said you was going to be having a meeting about day passes? what was the outcome of that. I did put all these questions in another thread but although I have waited and bee patient I haven't even had a response even one that says we are working on it. Well things have changed now so I won't be able to crew now so will definately need to know about day passes and if there are going to be any. We don't particularly want to come for the weekend as HArvey doesn't sleep very well away from home and I will not come without him so any information would be good I recall reading that there was a meeting a while ago and the day tickets were going to be discussed so what was the outcome of that. A response from any showmaster would be great I know you guys are very busy I understand and appreciate it will take time to get a response. I don't need any forum members telling me to be patient I'm just asking a question and I am prepared to wait for a response so please don't jump on my back :) Elfiexx
