  1. Did you check out "The Next Generation" event held at the Royal Albert Hall - Feb 2005? The entire cast were onstage [alone] for 1 hour each and it was amazing! Brent Spiner is at most the best [and most popular] guest you could ever ask for, he is entertainingly funny from start to end. Dawn
  2. Christopher Lee - a rip off!!? He's a legend you should expect to pay that for an autograph from him since they are rare unless you can get to meet the guy himself. How often can that be!? I think Showmasters should not be ripped to shreds over this either, it isn't fair. It wasn't them who cancelled him and they are the people who brings in the good guests over all. Dawn
  3. As someone already pointed out the forum had been shut down for a few days therefore it is not possible to make such an announcement earlier. Too bad that people have already made travelling arrangements etc. Showmasters are not to blame for this and I know they will make up for it asap I can't think of a better organisation than them at this point. Since I couldn't make this weekend show I've always wanted to meet Mr Lee so I am sort of hoping that he will make it to the show I will beable to attend in the future. Despite the cancellation, keep up the good work Showmasters. Dawn
  4. WAY TO GO!!!!!!!! Showmasters. The only snag I can't get there due to work and it has always been my dream to meet Christopher Lee next to Sir Ian McKellen [who I've now met]. Oh well... hopefully there is another chance soon that he will return, yes? Dawn
  5. Definately Brent Spiner..... Also, Patrick Stewart David Wenham Bruce Hopkins John Noble Lawrence Makoare Thanks and thanks again..... Dawn
  6. Thankyou!!!! Showmasters.... I had a fabulous time last weekend, GMEX is a great place even better situated in the heart of the city. I will look out for the next announcements. Hugs Dawn
  7. I am just dropping by to say that the photos you've all put up are absolutely brilliant, thankyou for allowing the rest of us to view them. I also want to thank Stuart and Showmasters for putting on yet another brilliant show and allowing excellent guest line up. My friends and I had a wonderful time and a very good weekend, Manchester is a fabulous city! Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou.... Dawn
  8. Brent Spiner Patrick Stewart Jonathan Frakes Bruce Hopkins Paul Norell John Noble David Wenham Lawrence MaKoare would be nice.....
  9. Glad to see you back Showmasters. Regarding the later posted tix, well....mine got here today [i ordered them a week 1/2 ago], so if anyone hasn't received them yet no doubt they'll turn up by Thursday. Hugs Dawn
  10. Neither can I! I just had the car a good thorough checking whilst it was being fully seriviced and MoTd [well I am coming all the way from Worcester] and everything looks ok there. And, better still my weekend off has just been confirmed so I am sooooo can't wait, I could do with a good girlie getaway. Dawn
  11. Lol! Apparently when mine arrived they were just posted and a sig was not needed which I thought was odd for Recorded mail. Well.... if that's the case at least you still have your order number for the day incase they do get lost. I always make sure I have a print out. Dawn
  12. Thanks, I got standard tickets I had ordered earlier today but this means my 'Early bird' order made yesterday will arrive fairly the same time next week? Looking forward to it. warm wishes Dawn
  13. Take a look >>HERE<< and you'll see there are a lot of people that disagree it's not a good show. 916047[/snapback] <Sigh:> I don't suppose everyone can be happy it's virtually impossible but then overall [including the other shows lined up] it's quite a year for SM and I think GMEX would be a great show. Dawn
  14. Premier Travel Lodge is like £28 per person per night, so not that different really.....however, if you have a car they do not charge for parking like most city centre Manchester hotels and you have to pay for breakfast on top too (£6) - swings and roundabouts hey..... 912302[/snapback] I suppose paying £35 pppn in Manchester isn't as bad as I'd expected. However, I have now heard that the Princess is apparently full. Someone has now suggested the Ibis Hotel. Dawn
  15. No but I have booked a room at the Princess on Portland Hotel which is merely a pebble throw from the GMEX Centre. The only snag is they expect payment immediately on booking but are relatively cheap at £35 pppn, I am paying £140.00 for 2 people both nights. If anyone is interested here you are The Princess on Portland Hotel in Manchester UK 101 Portland Street Manchester Tel: 0161 2365122 www.princessonportland.co.uk Dawn
  16. A legend and a friend. Back in the mid 90's - 2003, Donna and I were selling his CD "Ol' Yellow Eyes is Back" for him throughout the UK / Europe and was successful [hence selling out so quickly] to which had its rewards when we've formed a personal friendship with him. He's a very sweet & genuine man when you get to know him. Dawn
  17. Yes I've been wondering about which day he'll be there as well. Was planning on ordering early bird tickets online for the sat.. and considering all other guests are going on both days would think he is... but you know what they say about assumption! 911891[/snapback] You know for £5 each day I have considered to take the option of going for the 2 days. As for Brent, he usually goes for the full works and have appeared with SM on both days so far so I think he will do the 2 days again this time. Dawn
  18. How about driving directions from the M6? I plan to drive up there from Worcester. Dawn
  19. I would have thought Brent would go for £20 but it's worth getting one from him that's for sure. Is Brent doing the full weekend? Dawn
  20. Excellent!!!!!!!!!!!! Thankyou so much Showmasters........ Love ya Dawn
  21. How about.... John Noble, David Wenham, Paul Norell, Bruce Hopkins, Lawrence Makore, Brent Spiner, Patrick Stewart, These guys are just fantastic!!!!!!!!
  22. Great! Thanks for the updated bookmark, I had originally wondered why the site was never updated. Dawn I believe this is our very own Smaug's website...is it not? RACHELLLLLL 879222[/snapback]
  23. Ooops!! I know I've heard many times Shatner can be a bit of a b******d but even so writing this to him is a bit extreme. No offence to the author as I am sure he's very angry/upset but this isn't really the right way to go about it and William Shatner is one of the hardest guests to get to come to these events and so it was quite amazing to actually see him listed to come over here. I have never met the man and don't particulary want to, but my advice is as soon as you felt he showed ignorance/rudeness [him or any other actor] to the fans you should have steered clear from him. >>here is what I have just posted on his site Hi Bill, Please never come back to the UK, your attitude and was disgusting, That person you heard shouting abuse at you was me, (called you a cheap bastered) your security guys asked that I respected your wish's witch I replied, that you should respect your Fans, if you cant be bothered to be at least civil to people, why come at all? or did you just come to upset people? People all over the weekend have been angry with you, mainly because you was charging so much and when people walked up to you, you could not even look them in the eye, you did not even know who was in front of you as you did not raise you head, and please don’t tell me this is ok because there was other star trek actors there who were actually friendly and nice and gave a small chat, Im guessing this is the reason why most of the star trek cast don’t like you as well and why you had to say sorry to them (shame it is a bit too late for 2 of them) make sure you never come to this country with such a bad attitude, (omg they had to move you four times because of the hassle you was getting) and if your wondering why you had an "open que" .... Well that is because no-one wanted to see you because word of month was spreading so fast around that place, you owe everyone an apology for being so rude and anyone on this site who keeps saying "it ok for him to be rude, you should not have such huge expectations" I don’t care, no-one should be rude, does not matter who they are or what they are doing and Bill especially should not go and put himself in a public spotlight and be do dame horrible and also for the people on this site who says they don’t care about meting him and would never go to places like that....why are you posting on here for as this is a site for fans? and I am sure if someone was as rude to you as he was, you would be pretty upset too so bill, now that you have pissed off all your star trek fans in the UK, make sure you never come again! http://www.williamshatner.com/modules.php?...p=308816#308816 This post has been edited by wrtworthy: Oct 2 2005, 10:00 AM
  24. You know it is so nice to see so many fans of Paul Norell here on this site, there is a website in dedication of Paul which I had found sometime ago. Here's the link http://www.norell.vaguely-me.com/main.html I met Paul back in August at the Festival and had the pleasure of having dinner with him which was an experience never to be forgotten. He was telling us how he had come to Worcester at one time and knew it quite well, he was very attentative and lovely. As for his kisses, yep he was most certainly generous with them even though mentioning his wife might not be too happy. He was constantly telling my sister and I how beautiful we were and of course we got kissed fully on the lips. I would love to meet this charming gentleman again sadly due to work committments we couldn't make it to MK this time but I am positive he would recognise us the next time. Watching Paul briefly at the Festival he seemingly spends alot of time with the ladies, he was never short of full on conversation with any female who showed him some interest. Lol! Another person who alike Paul is generous with lots of conversation and kisses is John Noble. If anyone hasn't met him yet you must do so when you can. He is wonderful! Dawn [Worcester]
  25. SM pleaze bring back the following................. Brent Spiner Johnathan Frakes LeVar Burton Bruce Hopkins Brad Douriff Paul Norell Lawrence Makaore John Noble
