  1. Completely agree to all of this. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I get anxious when it comes to approaching people re: questions and help in some areas, but I thought they were very approachable and happy to help.
  2. I met Ming-Na Wen (diamond pass), Carlos Valdes, Ernie Hudson and Devon Murray. They were all such lovely people! It was my first con and I was so nervous about it, but the guests I met were so sweet. I didn't really know how long to spend at each table because I was worried about holding people up but still managed to have a nice chat with them! Ernie Hudson was such a sweet guy. I was in the queue for his photoshoot with Ecto-1 and before it started, he started his making his way to the people at the front, shaking their hands and took selfies with them. When I went up for my photo, I was greeted in a hug which I hadn't expected but it was nice, nonetheless. Such a genuine guy, I hope he comes again. :) Carlos was a gem as well, bless him. We had a little joke about me not being fully caught up with The Flash yet and was just such an all round lovely person to talk to! After meeting him I've decided that I need to finally catch up with The Flash. When that will be, I don't know yet but it will happen... eventually. Ming-Na was hilarious, I love her. Managed to get front row at her talk and she was so funny. Loved the story about when she told her mum she was in ER and she asked her how to spell it. I couldn't believe how fast I met her after collecting the diamond pass. I did notice when I was getting my autograph with Carlos in the afternoon, I think Ming was on a break but I saw there was a note and some sweets on the table, telling them to take a sweet. Which I thought was lovely! Bless her. Devon was fun to talk to as well! I can't believe he was so short! Couldn't help but laugh a bit when waiting in line for my photo because most people were taller than him, bless. :') He was sweet though and I managed to have a photo with him at his table too :)
  3. Forgive me if this is a stupid question but do the different colours mean anything in particular? :)
  4. I'm not sure. I've only been to the NEC once and even then I was just walking through it to get to the arena. I haven't a clue where the halls are though :c I think I am just gonna wing it, hahah
  5. Hahah the thought only occurred to me just before I read this post. I'm not with it today. Whoopsie. Thanks for the clarification! :-)
  6. My favourite varies. At the moment, I'm obsessed with Les Mis and Miss Saigon. I love the songs. :') As for the musicals I've seen... Not that many yet, unfortunately! I saw Rocky Horror last year (... I think it was last year?) as well as Blood Brothers. I'm going to see Miss Saigon in September, Hairspray in October and then I've got Wicked in April! So a fair few to look forward to, I think! :-) Would love to see most musicals at least once though.
  7. Thanks everyone for the help! The advice is very helpful and you're all very kind :-)
  8. Oops. Sorry, did not realise that! :c If diamond passes are called in number order, where can I find what my number is? Should it be on my ticket? Because the only number I can see on my ticket is the order number from when I first booked them? Unless I'm not looking properly or for some reason it's not showing up on Eventbrite for some reason.
  9. Hey there! Its funny you should ask that because I was worried about that too so I emailed the shop because I saw that bit. They told me that you'll be fine to get in with a diamond pass on a Saturday entry. They just put that there becaude sometimes the talk is on a different day to the selected photoshoot. Which means if you only had the one day entry then you'd miss it, if that makes sense?? But if the talk and shoot is on the same day, you'll be fine. As well as the auto because the diamond passes for the person you selected are called first, I think! Saturday will be fine in this case. Hope this helps! :)
  10. Awesome stuff! Thank you both so much for the advice - I wasn't expecting a response so fast. So, if some of the smaller guests don't require a VQ - will you already know when you go to their table if they are needed or not? And with autos do you pay for them when you get to the table after getting a VQ or do you do it once you're there? Or before both of those? These might sound like some really random questions but I just like to know what to expect, is all! (:
  11. Hello, hi, hey everyone! Wow, it's been years since I've been on a forum hahah so I apologise in advance for being rusty! On to the point of this post -- it's my first time attending an event like this. As a person with anxiety, I'm really really excited but I'm also nervous? So I just thought I'd post and see if anybody has any tips for a first timer? Is there anything specific I should bring? (I know to wear comfy clothes and bring a bag and stuff as well as the tickets). However, I was wondering if there is anything else I needed to bring? Do I need to bring any I.D or will the tickets be fine? If the answer is yes then what is good enough for ID? Because I don't have a driving license or a passport - the only thing closest to photo ID probably is my NHS smartcard but that only has my photo and my name? And the person I am going with doesn't have ID either so I just wondered whether it's necessary and things. Or whether the tickets will be enough. I understand that photoshoot and talk times will be posted closer to the day, right? Please correct me if I'm wrong! :) And a few things about how the VQ thing works. I have a diamond pass for Ming-Na Wen so will I need a VQ ticket for the photoshoot or autograph? Are the diamond passes in batches? I noticed that when choosing photo-ops for other guests, and Ming-Na herself (I was curious to see), you can choose the batch number whereas you can't for the diamond pass? So would I be right in assuming that I don't need to choose a batch? The diamond passes go before any of the normal ones, is that correct? Do I need to get VQ tickets for any other autographs/photoshoots as well? Do you get all VQs from one place or are they around and about for different guests? If that makes any sense?I have tried to read as much as I can re: the VQ tickets but I think I've read so much into it that I've confused myself or am doing the classic overthinking thing to make it seem more complicated than it actually is. And lastly: do you have any other tips to make my first con-event-thingy an enjoyable experience? I won't lie, I've been plucking the courage to post this for the past few days (again, excessive worrier over here overthinking everything and nothing all at once) because I don't want to sound repetitive or ask stupid questions. Apologies if that is the case! Thanks so much for any and all replies in advance :)
  12. Iain De Caestecker, Elizabeth Henstridge, Brett Dalton, Nick Blood, Adrianne Palicki, Clark Gregg, Chloe Bennet (All from Agents of SHIELD. I'm a little bit obsessed, heh. Anyone/everyone from that cast would work just fine for me.)
