Hi all, Second time doing a con and first time attempting to get an autograph from an 'A' guest without diamond pass. Got in early enough and go relatively low vq number for Charlie sheen, throughout the day checked in regularly and told consistently not yet not yet. Went back just before 1 and was told he had become an open queue for anyone around and to come back at 2. Went back at 2 and then told my vq wasn't called and was only on number 50. What the hell! Is that normal? Other than that slight glitch, pre-ordered and auto anyway just in case, I had s great day on the Saturday

Any ideas if will be able to get Charlie on a vq or should I bite bullet and get a diamond?

Highs: meeting sam neill, childhood dream come true. My photo isn’t the serious hug one like everyone else’s but instead we look like people walking down the aisle holding hands (had surgery on my right hand so couldn’t shake his hand when he offered it so he held my left and said to go with it lol) lows: sam neill was my goal and reason for attending so had slot of spare time after photo/auto. I got John Schneider (amazingly friendly) and David Duchovny for my Mum but other then that no one else as queues to long etc. Meant I had to kill just under 6 hours around stalls etc before sams talk and tbh I found most of them boring. Funko pops and other similar items can get anywhere on high street. Maybe do more unique stalls? Also lack of seating areas, water fountains etc Finally the gold pass guy stood behind me in the morning refusing to leave the DP queue and moaning for 30+ mins to crew that sam was late. Yes you had a shoot to get too, yes SM should have foreseen the bike event but moaning non stop at crew stresses them and annoys those around you. Should be happy you were 11th to get him as you technically were done a solid by being allowed in the queue at all

Very friendly and nice guy!! I was in first 10 to get signed this morning so in hindsight needn’t have bothered with DP but Sod’s law wouldn’t have got him if I was VQ. Happy!

How was sam today? Friendly and personalising autos I hope :)

Got lucky and spoke to a very helpful person called Stuart on the Showmasters number Long short I’ve upgraded to a DP. Sure it costs more but means I don’t have to worry about queuing so much. Also means if pain to much on day don’t need to worry about being there st entry time sure I might miss other big names but sam is why I bit the bullet to attend following surgery :) let the excitement commence!

Thankyou for the advice, I will try them there and if not buy the talk separate. If I get to venue for 8:30 I should stand good chance with VQ line?

Is diamond pass still okay to upgrade?

So do we dare hazard a guess at how popular he will be? I know he’s not mamoa level of fame anymore but still a legend. Mind if I go straight to him and get a VQ on day I guess I could see others while wait for him? My photo batch is group 3 so hopefully morning but more likely afternoon according to schedule

No doubt this has been asked elsewhere so apologies for any annoyance caused by this but I’ve got a photo op with Sam on Sunday but am debating the diamond pass to speed things up. Tbh he’s my main reason for going and though no doubt will try a few others their my priority is him. I can’t decide whether to commit to a diamond or gamble can get his auto aswell on the day. Also unsure about his talk though I’m sure will be good. Ive emailed Showmasters but am awaiting reply so have I left it to late to upgrade do we think? Thanks

Hello all, hope you all have received your items back. I thought I would update you upon my own personal situation. The Royal Mail has supposedly delivered my item however it was signed for by their own postman and I have no idea where it is. As such all I can do is presume it has been taken by them or by someone else before I got home to it. This is clearly not show masters fault. However... Going against the Royal Mail system and attempting to reclaim back the costs of loss BEFORE refunding myself is Show masters fault. It is not done that way and as a I have stated numerous times, and been ignored upon, a simple call to the Royal Mail / check online would have verified what I have said is true. They simply will not issue a loss refund if the client hasn't been refunded first, obviously as far as their concerned the seller could then have double lots of money and the buyer none. Secondly, my item was misplaced within the wrong send out box and not sent. Even though I had been assured it had been. Showmasters fault. Thirdly, I never once received a reply to any of my multiple attempts to contact the pre orders, and similarly all prompts from Showmasters main line to them was ignored. Show masters fault. As such I will be having to contact the donator of the poster I got signed to tell them that the unique piece has been lost and I will be having to contact the other actors agents and explain to them as well. Far from ideal when I am raising money for charity. Also the above post from Queen_sindel to myself saying I would be contacted that night did not happen. Again. There is clearly a serious issue within the company that needs to be addressed. And if your wandering why I am posting this, it is simply because a) people need to be aware that when it goes wrong Showmasters is unhelpful to the point of illegality ( I could have easily demanded a refund from not item being sent for over a month) and that it seems to be the only way they will listen without fobbing me off

I am highly doubtful that Jeff Goldblum would ever attend however it may be the Sam Neill could be tied down to attend and may a few of the others? I was about to sign my money away when he cancelled haha

Yes Queen_Sindel I am still waiting to receive my item and actually get a response from one of the pre-order team. Numerous emails, phone calls, CC'd into emails by the office team and still haven't heard anything. Would have hoped at least for an update, appreciate they are busy however an email takes 2 minutes to compose/write. Sorry to hear about your outstanding items space cadet :/

Still haven't received my autographs from London and Glasgow. Have spoken on the phone and just been told they are being processed. No replies to emails have sent so far. Anyone else having the same issue as me? P.S. Hate to post publicly like this but almost end of September surely is quite late? Especially as show masters know what the item I have order will be charitably auctioned towards
