  1. On the odd occasion the signature has been smudged I found no problems what so ever speaking to the event volunteer looking after the guest or line. I never made a fuss or demanded a replacement, and it seems this way forward of a discrete conversation with an event volunteer meant the solution was fast, friendly and did not put the guest in a situation where they may have been embarrassed that they had smudged their autograph and/or dedication. Yes, I did and do pay to meet them, but my personal opinion having worked in retail and/or the restaurant sector off and on for many of my 30 years employment, is that a polite, friendly and discrete conversation with someone gets the quickest and best solution where all parties are happy. Yes, the guest is paid to sign autographs, but with some they can see 100s over the course of a weekend. And the really popular ones even more. The guests are human and do have feelings, so discretion is the way forward for myself. And, having been to Showmasters events in the past (amongst many by others who will not be named as per forum rules/guidelines), I have found the volunteers helpful when these little "issues" pop up. But hey, I am only me and I am sure many others will do it their own way. But, as the saying goes, POLITENESS costs nothing but a smile. Regards and salutations, CHAPPiE13
  2. I whole heartedly agree. Smokers may want to pollute their own lungs, but please not anyone else's. It is not like those who are queuing and do not smoke can go anywhere as they will lost their space. Regards Chappie how about a virtual queue ticket to get into the event hall That is actually a good idea. Turn up and get a virtual queuing ticket and then you can disappear off somewhere to return to await your number batch to be called.
  3. Brutal!!! I hope your brother does nto come on here
  4. Google images will be of service Regards and salutations CHAPPiE13
  5. Who are Ryan, Hugo, Tamla and Howard? Regards CHAPPiE13 Presumably they are the other Musketeer cast members - Ryan I think would be Ryan Gage. I only watched the first 15 minutes of the new incarnation of the show. Found it boring and samey. I guess I am used to the older Musketeers being in my 40s Regards CHAPPiE13

  7. Unfortunately guests are always booked as appearing subject to work conditions so it's a risk that has to be considered when booking especially if you are only coming for 1 or 2 people but it's always disappointing when it happens. I have seen this so many times over the past 20 years of attending events big and small. Someone pays out for an event for one or two guests, but due to work or personal matters the guests cancel and the person (s) are left unhappy. That is why I generally only attend proper conventions rather than signing events as the convention has so much more going on. I could not list a single guest where I out pay out money to just get a photo or autograph. I love the vibe of a proper weekend convention where you are based at a hotel, have talks, screenings, discos/parties, photo shoots and autograph signings. But it is a choice the individual makes and as the old saying goes, if you live by the sword....... Regards CHAPPiE
  8. I am tempted to start a multi signature piece but on a canvas. Tesco Stores prices are not too high to make it worth it Regards CHAPPiE
  9. Thank you, you have been the best help on here Chappie's answer was also quite useful and informative! Thank you for those kind words. I found using a place like Tesco etc was better as it was in person and you can check the quality before you pay for it. As long as the JPEG is clear then the photo should be perfect. Regards CHAPPiE
  10. All available packages and single autograph purchases will be listed on the relevant website. Those listed for purchase will be the only ones available. I hope this helps Regards CHAPPiE

  12. And such an original and to the point website name for once. It is nice to see simplicity is still around. Regards Chappie
  13. You can get single prints done to most sizes at numerous retail outlets that do not focus on photography as a main industry. Many superstores such as Asda, Tesco and Sainsbury have machines to print off photos. Boots the Chemist also do this in the majority of their high street and shopping centre premises. It is also very cheap. My local Asda printed 8x10 photos out for me and it was less than a pound sterling per photo. They came out exactly as a normal photo would do and like the ones supplied by Showmasters and other fan event organisers. I created my photos and saved them as a JPEG which seems to be the prefered format of the machines used. Some branches of Tesco Stores also do canvas prints (more expensive but worth it) of various sizes. I hope this helps you Regards Chappie
  14. Ah well, you never said that in the first post.
  15. Queen Sindel and other Moderators have said that Showmasters do not have a list of what store holders will stock.
  16. I have had the pleasure of meeting Rutger. Nice chap.
  17. I believe it is in the box marked "not yet" Hopefully some day, this year's line up is already pretty awesome, and we still have 3months till the show... I'm gonna keep my hopes high for Simon I was fortunate to be at a previous LFACC long enough to be able to meet Simon and Nick Frost. Both hilarious
  18. Although it pains me to say it, being unemployed at the moment this film does not fall into the same catergory as a must see like Deadpool was. Will definitely list as present for when it comes out on DVD. Heard great things about it and Black Panther looks mental.
  19. 78 year old actor Barry Howard who portrayed dance teacher Barry Stuart-Harvreaves in Hi De Hi has passed away. He also appeared in the special for David Tennant's Doctor "The End Of Time" portraying Oliver Barnes.
  20. I can only assume it may be faith driven, but Prince was cremated within the last 24 hours.
  21. And according to Twitter Percy Sledge has died just over one year from when he actually died. 2016 is much like 2015 and 2014 etc. Each year people die and people say it is the worst year for deaths. Time to break out my Squiggle/AFKAP/Prince LPs
  22. He has had a few health scares in the past 12 months with the most recent in the past week
  23. It has been announced by the publicist of the Purple Rain musician that he has passed away earlier today at his recording studio. No more news available at this moment.
