  1. If you get a gold ticket it would mean you dont have to queue at all for the guests. No VQ is needed which is awesome. The thing about the gold pass though is it helps people who are seeing a load of the 'big' guests and have photo ops on the same day. So what the pass does is free you up a lot of time and there is less stress. As I said, unless you plan on seeing a few more big guests it isn't really worth the value to be honest. This years event will be a lot bigger and some ticket alterations have been made, but if you got in the queue maybe an hour before opening, you should have a low VQ number when you get inside. I doubt you would have to wait more than an hour or two once inside. Plus, that time while you wait for your number you can see all the other guests. I don't really know about travel from Essex, but as I said, unless you think you're gonna see loads of big guests its not really worth it.
  2. Hey Colin. I don't think a gold pass is needed in your situation. With the exception of Chris Lloyd, the current BTTF guests wont be too busy compared to other guests announced so far. You probably wont need a VQ ticket for them. Standard entry tickets will do just fine. With regards to the diamond pass, if you want the talk and other stuff then I would go for it. If you are just looking at a photo and auto then I would do them separately and not bother with the pass. I wouldn't worry at all about not meeting him, so long as you turn up early in the queue you'll get a low vq number.
  3. Hmm, I'm not sure what event you mean, but if it is another comic convention I doubt it would be scheduled on the same day as that.
  4. This is awesome news. I missed him back in 2012 when I was a complete newb at Comic Cons.
  5. I regret not seeing him last year because he was a wonderful guest at the screening. I'll be sure to see him this time.
  6. I love that Showmasters always delivers on great Game of Thrones guests. A couple of big names from that and from the Walking Dead would be awesome. Also as noted above, anyone from FARGO!!
  7. Well I think there will be. Showmasters are growing the event and it's growing in popularity. There's definitely room for more by moving to Olympia.
  8. Well I'm definitely going to book a photoshoot, but I'm going to wait a bit and do the order with a couple of other guests. What a great announcement though.
  9. Jason mentioned that they've been working on this for over a year, so I'm not sure if the announcement is BTTF specific. I'm gonna guess a huge Walking dead guest, maybe Andrew Lincoln, or perhaps Aaron Paul. I'm 99% sure I'm way off though, but a man can dream lol.
  10. With regards to e-tickets I just don't think it would work. You'd be looking at tens of thousands of paper tickets being handed in for entry, photos and talks. They can easily be forged and it would cost loads to implement barcode scanning for authenticity. It would also be very time consuming. I think Showmasters have said before that the service they use means they can't hold off on sending tickets until a later date. To be honest, I'm actually in favour of the system at the moment. Remember, the tickets we receive have lower numbers the earlier you order them. If the sending of tickets was helf off till closer to the event I think showmasters would have to remove this number system. It would have to be more like Dest Star Trek, because its unrealistic sending out numbered tickets at the last minute. It would take too long sorting through envelopes and what not, and storing ticket numbers in advance on a system just wouldn't work.
  11. Quite a few of you seem convinced it's Robert Englund. But lets face it, how often are we right with these things lol.
  12. Showmasters really knows how to whet your appetite for LFCC 2015, still over 7 months away! A really great guest, and it's also nice to see that Emily will be attending all 3 days.
  13. I think Kevin Sussman would be possible (Stuart from Big Bang) and John Ross Bowie (Barry Kripke). The show has such a diverse audience I know their visit would be a success. The main cast are raking in too much money for it to be worth their time, unless they want to do it for the fans?
  14. David Attenborough. As much as I would love to meet the man I don't think it could happen at a Con.
