  1. Maybe my English is not good enough and I wasn't clear enough for you to understand, but I tried to get there with my silver pass and they told me I still need the VQ. Yes, the staff didn't let me there with my silver pass. Then they misinformed you. If you read this before leaving the con, rush to the autograph area of Stan, he's signing for gold and silver who hadn't had the chance yet right after his talk, but you have to be really quick.
  2. You, my friend, should really have read what ypu get better. VQ tickets for example: you did NOT need them with a silver pass! You could just have joined Stans que and get your autographs in front of everybody else! I got all i wanted and more. Chaotic yes, but if you had a silver pass you could have easilly done everything you wanted with little stress. I'm very happy with how this con turned out, great job SM, although i agree organisation can be improved.
  3. Got to all the planned talks, shots and even got more autographs today then planned, so everything went better then expected. Thank GOD for our silver passes, Reading and seeing what happened to people trying to buy at the door...
  4. I had a good laugh, mostly thanks to the presentor, but the show itself was, how to put it nicely, not what I expected, nor what the organisation had expected either l'm sure.
  5. He was great, even took the time for a posed photo, next to signing. Very happy to have a great signed Hodor/Bran picture in my collection! Hope he'll be back for those who missed him.
  6. Anyone found out yet what time her photoshoot starts tomorrow? Haven't had time to check the schedules today :-(
  7. We'll probably just be added to that 2nd photoshoot slot, based on the number on our "3rd" photoshoot tickets and they just called it 3rd, because it was the 3rd time they sold a batch of tickets.
  8. I was hoping not but they did say 'days of the show'. I wanted to get as close as possible, and I'm only going on the Saturday You and me both But yup, going the whole weekend. Not want to miss a single second of this whole event. Days of the show...., do they mean DAY of the show, the show being the talk, in which case the tickets would only be sold on the Saturday OR did they mean DAYS of the show, the show being the LFCC itself, then it would include the Friday as well (And technically the Sunday, but I doubt anyone will buy a ticket for a talk that was the previous day, hehe) as a day on which they sell tickets. Since as far as I know there is only ONE of these talks, as the guests are only there on the Saturday...That's why I'm slightly confused.
  9. SO going to be there! Would tickets for this be already for sale on the friday? The Saturday is gonna be so busy with so many things to do, I rather get all the ticket buying out of the way the day before.
  10. Darn! She was on my rather long short list of must-meet-guests
  11. If you say you think it's a bad idea to spend a grand on auto's that's an opinion. When you start saying you think people are sad for doing it, that's judgement. Actually if I think someone is sad, it's still my opinion - albeit a judgmental one - but opinion nonetheless. We ALL judge people, whether consciously or sub-consciously, it's human nature. Anyone who says they don't is an idiot (now THAT's a judgmental opinion!). I've spent a grand on some top end electric guitars, they have given me years of absolute pleasure and creative outlet. If having a collection of autographs does the same thing for people then hats off to them, I could never ever justify spending that much on just a load of signatures. If I was to say I spend £20 on a single packet of crisps and it gives me great pleasure and no-one has the right to have a 'judgemental' opinion of me - well, I challenge anyone to NOT have an opinion on that! I'm sure the immediate thinking, conscious or sub-conscious, from most folk would be "no packet of crisps is worth THAT much!" The value is not in the autographs. If it was, just stay home and order every autographs you want for your collection online. No, the value for me is being able to meet the guests in real life, having a great time and having memories to cherish the rest of my life. The autographs will just serve as a nice reminder of those meetings. Everyone likes other things in life, I could never ever justify spending a grand on an electric guitar for example.
  12. Me neither, that's why I'm only assuming it so far as the most logical thing to do, as I, again assume, the people handing out the gold wristbands will probably also hand out the silver ones or will at least know where to get them. Thanks for at least confirming most of what I thought the procedure will be
  13. So...small recap on how to pick up gold/silver tickets as far as we know now: - Bring ID and printout of purchase order; - Stand in a line...since there is no mention of a "Silver" line anywhere, I presume us lowly Silver owners will sneak into the "Gold" line, which should be properly renamed to "Gold/Silver" line; - Pray the Gold and Silver tickets get handed out in the line in a timely manner; - Enjoy a weekend of pure bliss; - Go home broke Does that sum it up correctly?
  14. At the moment we have not been informed that there will be any changes in procedure. If there's an update it will be posted. Changes? So there is already a procedure you know of? Enlighten me please, hehe All I know for now is to bring every bit of paperwork we have to prove we bought silver tickets, but where to go or how to collect them is completelty unclear to me so far...
  15. Or Silver tickets for that matter
  16. We'll probably be spending in excess of 2000 pounds for the whole trip, but then again, it is going to be an amazing holiday abroad for us
  17. Too bad this clashes with the awards :-(
  18. Having the same misprint on my two tickets, Since I'm a tad new here, I don't know Bad Dog, he's listed as just a member not an admin/moderator, etc and just call me paranoid, but those tickets did cost 130 pounds, can anyone that looks slightly official on this forum confirm it's not a problem so I can sleep soundly until THE event of the year, at least for me, starts?
  19. Still waiting for 2 photo tickets myself...I'll be very upset if they don't arrive before we have to leave for London. But still three weeks to go, so I'm counting on it to be fine. Not worried....yet ;o)
