  1. Gotta be for Commando for me Sully, you know when I said Id kill you last? ........ I lied! It would be great to meet some cast members from the Warriors, although Id have to wear my baseball furies shirt LOL can you dig it?
  2. He would be a fantastic guest! Please please please! Hell, SM, I like you yaknow, if you manage to get him, you can come over to my house and er...' meet' my sister!
  3. Sadly youve got no chance Parkinson's Disease is a horrible condition, have you looked on the likes of you tube for videos of Michael J Fox? theres a few of him talking about his condition and its sad to see someone you love from films in your childhood looking so ill and a virtual prisoner in his body. It might sound selfish but I wouldnt want to meet MJF this way, the chances of him signing autographs is slim due to his parkinson 'shake' , the chances of a talk for any length are slim as it has effected his speech as well as the condition causing fatigue, and saying you would just like to shake his hand (no pun intended) turns it into some kind of victorian freak show Muhammad Ali is a sporting hero of mine but would I want to meet him? again no, I want to remember him as the greatest. Looking at him now almost brings me to tears, not because I feel sorry for him, but because a man who did so much, who influences so many, ended up in this condition, not through an accident or injury but because he was one of the unlucky few
  4. I think they call it R2D2 LOL ...sorry couldnt resist I couldnt make it to this event even though I had planned to, so for now my Bubba Ho Tep poster remains unsigned, on the plus side with all the star wars guests and the addition of Kenny late on, I would have spent a fortune Oh well, maybe next time
  5. Ah well, long time lurker...first time poster....so hello :) My first collectormania was an enjoyable trip, the only person i ended up going to see was Mr Romero as sadly the other guests I wanted to see cancelled but meeting him was well worth the 3 hour plus drive I got to the event around 9.30 on the Friday, armed with my Ultimate edition Dawn of the Dead DVD and a Dawn of the Dead poster to be signed, the queue was quite small although the staff member I spoke to said it was slow moving as 'George seems quite chatty this morning' ..not something I was about to complain about! lol sadly when I got to the front of the queue my brain and mouth disconnected and all the questions I was gonna ask were forgotten, Im not the kind of person who gets starstruck easily but meeting the man who is the reason you are a fan of horror films and the man who made one of your fave all time films does funny things to you! I was greeted by a huge smile and a firm handshake already I felt like an old friend I produced my DVD from my bag and jokingly said 'I brought this to be different, as I bet you dont sign many of these!' to which He laughed and said 'it makes a change to have one to sign that Savini hasnt already taken up all the space on' He then signed my DotD poster, I thanked him for making one of my favourite films to which he replied 'your welcome' I shook his hand once more and walked away clutching my signed goodies happy at meeting the great man but at the same time annoyed at myself for not asking all the questions Id wanted to ask... I cant thank showmasters enough for the oppotunity to meet one of my all time heroes, ....now, any chance of George Lucas next time?
