  1. Hiya Yes it would just be for entry. As she is so young she doesn't participate in autos and only ever gets a photo if she has to come in with me because her Dad has wandered off! I don't think we would use the gold pass room, to be honest I didn't know it existed. It is purely to get in the venue and get my pics and autos faster. Having a diamond pass took all the pressure off, stress free!
  2. This is probably a silly question and I suspect I know the answer but going to ask anyway. After my first diamond pass experience this summer I have decided that Gold is the way to go from hereon in! However, I normally attend with my husband and 8 year old daughter. Now, where I have no problem at all purchasing a Gold Pass at full price each for my husband and I, I'm not sure about purchasing one for my daughter. Once inside she doesn't participate in autos or photo shoots so it would be purely for admittance only. So I suppose my question is, if I purchase 2 gold passes for the 2 adults would I also have to purchase one for a child or would she be able to join the gold pass queue with us, with a general admission ticket? I eagerly await some responses!!
  3. Understandable that the price would be limiting for some, but the £445 is for so much more than just an autograph. If you go back to the first post, there are lots of things tied in with it over the weekend that, I think, definitely make it worth the cost. Just wish I could have managed to get one! Yeah I get that there's other stuff included, but it's all been bunched together so you couldn't choose just an autograph.
  4. Well done Showmasters for securing this guest but I'm very disappointed that the initial announcement was a bit misleading. MJF was the first name that came to my mind but the line that stated it wasn't going to be who we all thought made me dream bigger! The photo ops are a reasonable price I'd say but the HUGE £445 price tag for the chance of an autograph is a bit rich for most people. Makes me worry for the future as bigger guests are booked, is the sky the limit when it comes to putting a price on meeting them? I guess it's only worth what we are willing to pay but for some people it's not a case of willing, it's a case of having the money. For me, meeting someone like Sigourney Weaver would be worth £445 plus, but I couldn't get that sort of cash together in 7 days, especially not before pay day! Hope everyone who was in, got!
  5. Just wondering if the crew only walked the line for pre paid tickets? I was in the pay on the day side for 5 hours, saw one crew member who was not able to give us an update. I walked to the front doors a few times and again couldn't find a crew member
  6. Great news! Not that far from home so a much cheaper con for me
  7. OK I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this so please correct me if I should have posted elsewhere. I noticed on Facebook that attendees have been urged to leave feedback on the event this weekend and I wouldn't normally but I do have some suggestions to pass on to the organisers. I have to say that I too underestimated how popular this event would be so I turned up at 10:30 on Saturday morning without a ticket, along with my husband, 7 year old daughter and 2 friends. I did expect a wait but was unprepared for the following 5 hour queue a thon! I accept that I was unprepared and it was our fault we didn't buy tickets before hand but there was a lot that could have been done to make this situation better. We did not get any kind of update until 3pm and I walked around the venue several times and could not find anyone from Showmasters who knew what was going on. Secondly as there were a lot of children in the queue it would have been nice if some portable loos were on site and places to buy food and drinks. It was heartbreaking to see so many small children being turned away. We got in around 4pm but by then all we wanted to do was meet Danny John Jules, have a quick look round then go home! We missed pretty much everything that was going on that day and my little girl was gutted that she didn't get to run around in her costume all day like she wanted to. But to flip it, we had a great day on Sunday! We went along a little earlier and only waited an hour before getting in. We got to do everything we had planned on doing and really enjoyed the day. By the time we left at 2pm the venue was packed but there weren't any queues outside so at least everyone got in. If this venue is to be used again then I would definitely like to see toilets outside the event, places to buy snacks and more crew available to answer our questions. Also, once inside there really wasn't enough room in the dealer's room. If the person in front of you stopped to look at something you were basically stuck behind them until they moved. At one point my little girl cried she was so scared of the crowds we got stuck in. Maybe the layout could be reconsidered, or have less vendors? There are only 2 other places I could think of that might be big enough to host the event and they are St. James Park and Gateshead International Stadium. Anyway I gues there will always be teething issues at new venues and I think it speaks volumes about the way Showmasters operate that things were so much better on Sunday. Thanks for a great event :)
  8. That's great thanks. I know there has never been a child early bird ticket but I do know there has definitely been a Family one, just wanted to check before I buy as it's going to cost us £45 just for one day. Cheers!
  9. I have asked this question several times here, Facebook and Twitter and still have not gotten a straight answer. Why are there no family early bird tickets? My husband and I want to get early bird entry on the Sunday but you can only get child standard entry. The last time we attended we were able to get a family early bird ticket but there doesn't seem to be any on sale. I want to purchase my entry tickets now but still have no idea what to buy. I would hate to think that we are going to have to pay £15 for a 7 year old to get in! If ANYONE can answet this question I would be so greateful. Thanks
  10. Will there be no family early bird ticket for this event either? I'm sure I bought one for LFCC 2013.
  11. I was just looking at the entry ticket choices and wondering why there are no child or family early bird tickets. If I want to buy early bird entry do I have to buy them individually? Just seems a bit steep since my daughter is 7 years old and she is going to pay the same entry as my husband and I. £96 just to get in is a lot.
  12. Agreed Sharlto would be an amazing guest. Pretty please get him for us Showmasters
  13. Thanks everyone may have to purchase
  14. My husband and I would like to bring our daughter to Winter LFCC, we normally buy early bird tickets. I was wondering if the 3 of us would be able to purchase the early bird family ticket or would we each have to buy an adult early bird ticket for £12 each. She is 6 years old if that makes a difference. Thanks!
  15. Can someone tell me what you actually get with the gols pass?
  16. Wow what am awesome weekend! This was my third Showmasters event and they really do keep getting bigger and better. I brought two newbies with me who are now totally hooked and will be back next year. As usual the crew were all extremely helpful and friendly, everyone always knows exactly what is going on, where and when. I never had an issue or a question that someone couldn't help with and it's nice to have a chat while you're waiting to go for a photo or autograph. All the queues were well managed, there was no panic over missing your turn and the fact that you get your photos straight away is really great. Reassuring to know that you can just straight back in for a re shoot if needed. I could go on and on forever mentioning all the things that were done well and done right. There were only a few negative points that I can think of. More rest areas would have been useful as I spent a lot of the down time sitting on the floor, resulting in a dirty bum for most of the weekend. Individually numbered chairs at the stage talks would also bee a good way to organise getting people in. I was number 77 for the Walking Dead talk and I noticed people with way higher numbers sneaking forward, grrrr! I also think that if numbered tickets are going to be issued for photo shoots then they should be used all the time or not at all. I always try to buy my photo shoot tickets nice and early so I get a low number and don't have to queue for so long and it's a bit annoying when you go over to the area and find you are at the back of the queue as tickets aren't being called in order. All in all I really have no complaints I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all the crew, we really appreciate all your hard work. The highlight was definitely meeting Norman Reedus, Showmasters you are making my dreams come true!!

  18. I wasn't sure where to ask this question. My friends and I have some missing tickets and refunds etc. Bearing in mind how busy it will be and how long the queues will be would it be better to come along to the Friday night to get this sorted, or wait until the Saturday? Thanks!
  19. Oh My God!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the most excited I have ever been about anything, EVER! Well done Showmasters, I love you!
  20. Is there a bar/pub in or nearby the venue?
  21. I have met Misha a few times, he would be a great addition to the lineup!
  22. I just wanted to say a huge thank you to Showmasters for an awesome weekend. This was my first Showmasters event and I had an absolute blast. Everyone I spoke to on the crew were helpful and friendly, I had a photo clash at one point made even worse by the fact I had to catch my train back to Newcastle before my last shoot ended and the crew were all really nice about it and made sure I didn't miss out. This event was huge, I can't even imagine the work that goes into planning it and from what I saw it ran very smoothly. This was such a refreshing change from the other cons I have been to, stewards who actually know what they are doing and don;t scream at you for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. All of the other attendees I spoke to were also really lovely and friendly it was such a great atmosphere and I was so impressed by all the crazy costumes! Pretty safe to say I will be back year after year and dragging along everyone I know. Thanks once again for the best weekend ever!!
