  1. It took some effort but I got my autograph in the end, and that was with a diamond pass, I've said somewhere that maybe diamond pass specific sessions might be something to add in the future, but I also had another idea. Each diamond pass had a number on it. I was under the impression that these would act as diamond pass virtual tickets. So in each session the board would say something like 'Diamond pass 20, VT 20' or something like that to keep the crowds down a bit. Maybe this is something you could look into for future events. Christopher Lloyd himself worked incredibly hard over the weekend with all the signings and photo shoots. I've heard he stayed a little later to sign more autographs and he was late to the exclusive talk I believe for the same reason and then continued with the full length of the original talk well after everyone else in the building had gone home. I would like to say a big Thankyou to him for all of the effort he put in. I for one appriciate everything he did over the weekend. And the same to all the crew who were involved. It was not the easiest to manage and everyone I spoke to was polite and understanding and worked with me to find the best way of fitting in his autograph. Thanks guys
  2. All the disabled people I noticed seemed very polite under the circumstances. I saw many wheelchairs struggling to get anywhere because people either could not or would not get out of the way. I tried to let people through whenever I could and spent a lot of time apolagising for bumping into people. But there were also times when I was struggling to get to a photoshoot at the other end of the venue. In these instances I ran, ducked and dodged my way through the crowd and probably gave the impression I was being very rude. But I think most people had moments like this over the weekend and I can honestly say for once I didn't mind if someone bumped into me and didn't apologise. As a few people have mentioned a little more effiency with the layout should cut out some of these problems, as well as not having photo shoots near staircases. As an able bodied person I struggled with the weekend myself and although one person doesn't make much difference I only used the stairs. I believe there should be a designated area where people with a disability can sit down and rest with ease. The rest of us are perfectly happy to sit on the floor when we need to.
  3. we had diamond passess for Christopher Lloyd and we still struggled to get our autographs because there were so many people trying to do the same thing, there were also many gold pass holders complaining that they were constantly being asked to come back later. In the end we had to sacrifice the back to the future talk with M J Fox in order to get the autographs included with our pass. We had to Que for a long time but we did get the autograph and we did get vouchers in exchange for the talk tickets but it wasn't exactly a good experience. I would like to sugest that for future diamond pass guests you allocate a diamond pass only signing session so that everyone knows that is our allotted time, a little like the photo sessions. I beleive I received an email telling me that my included photo session would be the slot on Saturday and not at any other time. This seemed to work pretty well.
  4. Just put my order in and can confirm that it is fixed. Thanks guys for the fast response.
  5. Just tried to get my diamond pass but said unavailable on all t-shirt sizes. Just wondering if anyone knows if these are actually sold out or whether there's a glitch with the selection. I've tried to send an email but it keeps failing to send a message.
  6. As a female cosplayer I love it when people ask me for my photo, gives me a sense of achievement that people feel my costume is worth the attention. So ask away.
  7. I like a bit of everything, I get autos and photos, but I also go to the talks, look round the stalls and browse anything else the con has to offer. Although I've never taken part in the Masqerade I love to dress up and am always happy to pose for photos.
  8. At past events it's always been turn up and find a seat. The mods don't know of any changes for this show. thanks, thats nice to know
  9. will you have to get tickets for these like the others or will it be a case of turn up and find a seat?
  10. the talk will still be good just with 2, but i would prefer 2 single shoots rather than the one together now.
  11. Brian is attending Saturday only I'm afraid. There will not be a Sunday shoot for him. The choices I see is either go to Brian's shoot first and tell the crew you want to go to the Star Wars talk or leave the Star Wars talk early. Thanks for that, I'll weigh up my options and decide on the best
  12. I have 1 clash I can't find a way around at the moment. Brian Blessed Photo Shoot with Star Wars Talk on Saturday. I can't do the Star Wars Talk Sunday because it Clashes with the Torchwood Tour. I believe there is meant to be a Brian blessed photo on sunday but it is currently missed off. Anyone got any advice for me please?
  13. or to have someone sat there for them. at least then u don't feel as hard done by when u miss out
  14. Looks like these have sold out. I never even got chance to see them go on sale.
  15. devastated. was really looking forward to meeting him. but i guess if he's busy, he's busy.
  16. Any Ideas when vouchers will be posted out. I bought some during the discounted session, and not received anything yet. I'm not desperate, i won't need them till summer, but they are intended as a birthday present for someone at the end of the month.
  17. Thats a fair point. It would just be nice if someone would paste the information on here as well.
  18. I could use the information posted on here. I rarely ever go on facebook and when I do, I can't usually find what it is I'm looking for. I do however scan the forums on a daily basis looking for the latest news and updates.
  19. All 4 are now doing Cardiff unless one pulls out
  20. It does seem strange, I had my eyes closed on 1, the photographer instantly noticed and told me to wait for another shot so when I picked my photos up I had 2. One really good one and one bad one.
  21. Problems aside, here are a few thins i loved about the weekend. John Barrowman hosting... That was the weirdest thing I had ever seen (In a good way) A* Seeing All 5 Captains on 1 stage. Fab Photoshoots, very efficient. I loved the way u'd drop ur bag on one side and when u came out on the other ur bag and photo would be there waiting for you. The Guests. Everyone I met was very friendly even though I might have said some stupid things in the panic of talking to some amazing people. Thanks for putting up with me I came away quite giddy at times. The volunteers... Everyone I spoke to were amazing and helped out the best way they could with clashes and problems leading to what felt like a VIP moment to get me through a photoshoot so I could make a talk. I would just like to say thankyou to everyone who worked so hard to put this together. Yes there were problems and I vented on my BF a ouple of times, but overall I think everyone did a fantastic job in very difficult circumstances. Well Done
  22. Overall, I found all the staff I came into contact with very helpful and friendly. When they couldn't help I was directed to someone who could. I agree that there wasn't much to do if we weren't queing for one thing or another so we generally used that time to rest our feet. We didn't know anything about the free talks and didn't want to que up for that long for something we weren't sure we could attend and like many others found that if we did have spare time there were no tickets left. The prices were high and having never been to a convention before was about what I expected. The stuntshow was a little lacking and we found it difficult to attend at a time we weren't at timed events but as it was included I can't grumble much. The only real critisism I would make would be the TNG Party. I'm not big with parties but I thought I'd regret it if I didn't go. Once we got in there the stage was tiny so I couldn't see anyone performing and the acoustics were awful so I couldn't really here anything properly either. After the main entertainment ended the majority of people left leaving the space relatively empty with no atmosphere whatsover. As mentioned before the prices were awful but again this was expected. But the menu was so small there was nothing that I liked alcaholic or otherwise (inc water) and had to walk to the other side of the excel center to find a vending machine that would dispense a soft drink I could drink. They had bottles of soda water and lemonade for mixers, is it too much to ask for a cup of lemonade. It just felt more like a minuture concert rather than a party and I'd gone for the party rather than the concert. As for the goody bags my boyfriend and I both had silver tickets, we were both in the que together, he got a badge and I didn't. Its not a complaint, just a fact. After waffling on I must finish with saying that overall I had a great time and fully intend on attending more conventions in the future. This was the first of what will be many more to come.
  23. After the trickiest signup i've encountered for a while due to not accepting my one and only email address I have finally signed up....Wohoo.
