Lea Thompson must be doing shoots sunday because ive got one booked lol..unlless its a 1 on 1...lol. Can i just say though that when i've looked through the gallery - it may be a pro photographer but i wouldn't call them pro pictures as some of them the guy basically just takes your head next to the stars head cutting you both off at the shoulders! At best he takes them from chest up.... but in my opinion pictures that don't even show your waist look awful, a poor crop and framing by the photographer Having said that, i have 2 of the normal photoshoots booked with MJF so i'll have to make do!! Though if the guy crops that close my t shirt and all it's special writing wont even be in the photo! Lea Thompson isn't doing photo shoots on the sunday, does that mean there's a chance she'll allow a photo at the table? Tho i'm going on my own so i'll either have to use my long arms or ask the person behind me (which i doubt they'll want to do..!)

Just wondered before i order, i know diamonds get priority but do golds also get priority seating for this after diamonnds and before regular?

I definitely feel it comes down to you personally, who do you want to meet the most, who are you a bigger fan of....yes we have many things we love but sometimes we just gotta choose for whatever the budget allows. I dont think its gotten too big, providing it is orgaised and run correctly! We will see after last year with it being a different venue and on the day tickets not being sold, so thats a good start. In terms of guests, again it comes down to what you love, whats more important or means the most, or if your collecting a cast photo do you get that signed by the memebers who are there or leave them out and get a big 'rare' guest?? As someone else posted, i narrow down to who i want to meet the most going on their work i enjoy the most! Im a BIG star wars fan, but i dont bother with all the smaller guests like death star gunner, or an extra that was sat in the background of the cantina...id rather go for someone like sherilyn fenn, or jame remar, because they played roles in certain things that stick with me...the warriors and twin peaks. Same with weaver and paxton...they are 2 ive wanted to meet for a long while because im a massive ghostbusters fan and weird science is one of my favourite 80s comedy movies....so i chose to miss other guests out to afford these two. Whatever though i hope everyoe has a good time and meets who they want to meet!!

Just wanted to say a big thanks to a few of you guys for giving me the low down on the golds, all you who posted about them know who you are so thanks for convincing me! ive never done one before and with this lineup getting bigger and better it started to become an essential thing if i wanted to fit in all my shoots, autograph sessions, aswel as doing any talks and some shopping on the stalls. I saw that they were sold out and couldnt believe how lucky i was, i most certainly got one of the last ones as i ordered it around teatime friday evening....call it luck, call it karma...sorry ghostbusters rant. With my list growing, and having an mjf shoot booked too, its going to definitely make my weekend alot easier and less stressed i feel, so i just know come monday when i leave i will know its been money well spent!! I personally like table photos, yes the shoots are nice because you can have a proper one done with the lighting, posed etc, but the table photos either with the guest or as they sign etc are nice too because they become a freeze frame memory for me of the actual event, a particular time i was stood chatting as they signed something to me. plus as many have said the guests who are popular but are not crazy busy are always great and happy to have photos either of them smiling for you to take a snap or just a snapshot of them signing, its just adds to my photo album of that years show :)

Talking of lanyards, do you need them for the golds or are gold passes wristbands? and if wristbands is it 1 for the whole weekend...if so i better selotpe my handup in the shower I've just got a very cheap basic one that I'm putting both my diamond passes on

Ok this isn't a question asking if its okay to take them at the table as i know the answer but more on how many of you folks take snaps of the guests at their tables, doesnt have to be WITH them, but maybe photos OF them talking to the person in front of you or a snap of them while they are signing your item ? ive wanted to snap a couple of pics in the past while they sign for me but always feel daft so think ill have to change that this year!

Thanks mate, yeah there is a good range of guests for me this time..some definites, some i want to meet but not sure and some that are 'yes if budget allows' last guests but yes alot more feels possible to me now. my prority as ive said like many others will be paxton, weaver, lloyd...so if i manage to get all those plus a few of the others on my list, especially james remar, lea thompson and sherilyn fenn ill be super super happy and will consider the gold pass money well spent! And yes i would imagine they will be setting up some kind of time slots for batches of diamond passes for those guests esp for autoraphs then once the diamonds are done it will be open to golds and regulars maybe.

Dont regret it, just think that you will get in earlier and be able to fit more things in throughout the day/weekend. ive not got as many photoshoots booked as some people but still wanted the gold pass as im eager to meet weaver and paxton, plus with having a photo with mjf and lloyd i will be able to get through a little quicker and have more time for talks and stalls :) Enjoy! Regret buying that Gold Pass earlier now with my 11 photo ops... haha fml

Thanks mate, yes, after going over who ive already got booked, then seeing hayley atwell added and no doubt more guests, talks and then shopping on the stalls it was starting to look more and more of a stressed weekend....and this is like a holiday for me so didnt want to rush around trying to cram things in, photoshoots, autographs, talks etc. I would have been looking at leaving my hotel at 6am to get there for 7ish like everyone was aiming to do in order to get a VQT for weaver and paxton, but now i dont need to. I can get there alittle before as im collecting my gold pass on the friday so i can just join the gold queue sat morning. Hopefully ill grab those headline guest autographs early on and then they are done and out the way. Okay thanks mate, will just keep checking. dont want to miss again. It's done by hand by the SM shop so it could be anytime. There may not be anymore added until Monday (as they have a weekend too!) but someone may jump on and add them. It really could be any time.

after a batch has sold out any idea how long it is before the next batch is added to the shop?

If you want to be certain then its obvious to go for diamond but like you say its hard to justify that much more when your only there 1 day and the other things your not fussed about. As im there the weekend i chose to go for the gold pass as it will help me get through the weekend and hopefully manage to meet bill and sigourney, but with you being there just 1 day id say maybe go for it. As stu and beatrix said hes a rare guest and doesnt get to cons here at all really so there will be ALOT of aliens fans who need him to complete cast signed items etc.

Just wondered if a batch 3 will be added? i noticed 1 and 2 are sold out and a batch 3 is listed but says unavailable and not sold out? t she seems very popular to sell out sooo fast

Agreed about the bond thing...and im not even a james bond fan lol Sorry, but no. Huge Alien/Sigourney fan here but "Ripley" is NOT as recognisable/bigger a character than James Bond. The Bond series has spanned 53 years, featured 6 lead actors in the role, and has always very much been a 'global' series with a far broader appeal.

As QS said you should be fine really, but after alot of advice i decided to go for one as ive got a fair few booked which include the headliners, MJF, WEAVER AND PAXTON so will help getting through those quicker which will allow me to fit in time to check the stalls out and maybe watch a few talks over the weekend.

Yes finally! when i saw this mornings post about saturday being sold out i was worrying that the golds would start going so i went straight to bank to make sure i have enough funds in to cover it. so glad now though, means i wont have to be up and leaving my hotel so damn early lol. Glad you've got it sorted, enjoy!!!

YES!! Booked my Gold Pass!! thanks so much guys for all the info and help!!! so excited now!! Now at least i have alittle pressure taken on for getting in and queuing etc. will make it less of a stress and rush in the morning!!! :clap: :dance:

Great advice, something i always do for this and other events. once the schedule is up i make a list of all the photoshoots ive booked and then arrange them in their times so i can have an idea of who is next and times. really helps. Don't expect announcements throughout the building for photoshoots. Once the schedule is up you need to make sure you know where you are going so I strongly suggest making a list (personally I make a spreadsheet I can see on my phone) of where you need to be and when. Then when you get to the show, there will be signs up so you can check if any changes have occurred. At the photo area they will shout out which guest you can queue for and which batch number, but as I say, if you're just off looking at the stalls or in an auto queue you will not know who is in which photo area.

Thanks alot Stu, appreciate the response, yes until SM post something its up in the air, i just wasnt sure if anything had been said or id missed anything in another post about those who had golds going in first wanting her autograph as id guess maybe not everyone who ordered a diamond package maybe didnt get gold too so they would just go in with standard entry. As mentioned though, im sure they will have some sort of time slots for diamonds, golds and regulars to try get as many ppl to meet her as possible. I don't think there is any need to worry, you will be able to meet the guests you want. As it's been posted before SM will give everyone the best chance to meet the people you want and hopefully we will have the confirmation soon of how this will all come together
