  1. I have to agree, the Photoshoots were always my biggest complaint but this weekend I had 3, Jenna Louise Coleman, Billie Piper & Ariana Richards all of which I am 100% happy with, I'm sure I will be tempted to have more Photoshoots next time.
  2. This was my first event I have been to since 2011 and my first event since I have been ill and registered Disabled and I have to thank everyone involved with Showmasters for making this weekend so much fun, The crew were lovely and went out of their way to either get me to the front of a queue or at least join without a VT as it is too painful to stand for long periods .... the organization was 100% improved from my last event which was LFCC2011 especially the Photo Shoot collections (I am so happy that I walk away with my picture in seconds). My family had a great time as well and I think we actually managed to get my wife to enjoy herself (she has never been a fan of the shows and ALWAYS used to complain but this time she has really enjoyed it) which is a miracle Meeting Jenna & Billie in one weekend was amazing. I'm looking forward to LFCC and all I can say is ..... Keep up the good work everyone, you are doing a great job
  3. Hi again, I did write it all down and pass it to the office, as well as speaking to one of the organisers and Mara who then went and spoke to them. It was awful, I was just horrified for you. Hope it didnt spoil your day Hi, Thanks for your help, it did make me feel better and I really did appreciate it, I did not let it spoil my day but it did leave a few negative feelings that remained until I got home. Thanks again :)
  4. erm why was your iphone out while you were in the toilets? eeewwwwwww It was'nt out it was in a case on my belt but the guy shoved me so hard it flew off my belt
  5. I really tried to enjoy my weekend but two things spoilt it for me: Firstly on Saturday whilst using the Gents some guy (I have other names right now that I wont use here) barged past me which resulted in my iPhone ening up in the toilet! yes my phone no longer works and I am very very angry about it but the guy had dissapeared while I was trying to quickly dry it off hoping it would be ok! Secondly on Sunday morning I was standing waiting for my brother not actually near any stalls when one of the stall holders poked me in the back quite hard and said "Move away from my stall, you are blocking my shop window" now as I am a large guy I took offence to that as there was plenty of room for others to walk around me, then when I asked him to leave me alone he said "I paid £500 for this stall for you to stand there blocking it", I then said I do not want to carry this on leave me alone! when my brother came back I told him what had happened but was rather rudely interrupted by the man's wife who when I asked her to leave us alone went on to make gestures by putting her arms wide out and bloating out her cheeks like "a fat" person!". The second incident was reported to showmasters who were shocked and did speak to the stallholder involved who then proceeded to search the whole event looking for me just to deny that his wife had done this, he did in the end apologise and said he would speak to his wife but by then the damage had been done, I was shaking and so damn humiliated and angry. I do have to thank the showmasters crew involved that I spoke to, they were very understanding but the general public need to be a bit more carefull and the stall holders need to remember WE are the poeple buying their goods! don't treat us like crap! Apart from these I did meet everyone I wanted to meet and had the Photoshoots I wanted (David Tennant was great) I just miss my phone P.S Thanks for your help Showmasters crew! :)
  6. Can't Wait for this, finally an event near me ..... just a 15 minute 428 bus ride away! :)
  7. I asked the same question for LFCC and was informed my children who are 2 & 3 would not need a ticket and when we arrived they just came in with me no questions asked.
  8. My top marks got to: Karen Gillan - Very friendly, bubbly and a real beauty Brent Spiner - Very funny and very friendly (he even asked how much my Data figure cost me which was £10 and he joked that on ebay it's now worth £5 with his signature on it) such a nice guy Mark Sheppard - Very funny & chatty, Loved my daughters name as it is also his wifes name (Jessica), he gave her a big smile & a hug and finally Alex Kingston - She loved my daughter and made her go all shy when she said "hello sweety" to her! these are in no particular order ... I loved them all!!
  9. All I have to say is .... I AM KNACKERED!! The weekend for me was FAN-BLOODY-TASTIC, my daughter got autographs from both Karen Gillan & Alex Kingston so she has been telling her nursery friends all day, I did more this weekend than I have done at any of the other events I have attended but it was worth it. Well done to you and long may your events continue!
  10. Only 2 real moans from me .. 1) one of the female members os staff at the photshoot sales desk was very rude, I always like to remember that if I expect someone to be polite to me then I should be polite to them, if you get rude and shout in my face then please expect the same in return 2) as has already been said the terrible music .... I had my 4 year old daughter with me and she at one point said "Daddy someone is in pain" :) Apart from that it was a great weekend and I am still on a high, my daughter has gone off to nursery to tell her friends that she has Amy Pond & River Songs autographs ... she is one very happy little girl. Thanks to everyone involved!
  11. So stupid is not a nice thing to say but you say it again anyway????? and to be fair to some people Christopher Lambert is not a big name, yeah fine Highlander, Mortal Kombat blah blah blah but he's just not all that to everyone. Just learn to live with that and the fact that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and lets just get on with our lives shall we? Back onto the good topics please, like how happy we are that LFCC is getting closer everyday
  12. I have already passed it on to all my friends and will keep reminding people via Facebook & Twitter. Thanks for all your hard work!
  13. Can't afford to meet him? Tough. It's a business, not a charity. I'd love a Ferrari; can't afford it as I don't have a good enough job. I don't moan about people that have worked hard and CAN afford one. Good luck to them I say. I'd love to be able to get back into work and stop moaning but that does not seem to be happening so I do not need sarcastic comments like that thank you, I was simply stating that for people in my shoes a higher price is not affordable, my current situation gets me down at the best of time but comments like that **** me off! I hope that was not directed at me, I for one do NOT want showmasters to go under and these events to end but at the same time I would prefer the prices stay as they are, I was just saying that for some people like myself the higher price guests are not within our price range. While I may have had a moan about the price of meeting Christopher Lambert I have not complained about any of the other guests as I think they are brilliant and showmasters have done a good job getting them, but if letting out a bit of steam and frustration is no longer allowed then maybe i'll just shut my mouth in future!
  14. I think also the current state of the country (ie jobs & money) has a key factor in making a decision like this, I am currently out of work & have saved to come to this event BUT there are specific guests I wish to meet, while I would love to meet Christopher Lambert as I am a fan of the Highlander movies I simply cannot afford to add him to my list at this price and quite a few of the people I know here feel the same way. I think people need to remember that although this is our hobby we are not bottomless pits and can drag money out of thin air! Love the guests but prices need to stay the same & in my humble opinion if a guest does not agree then they do not deserve our money ... sometimes it is just pure greed!
  15. I have always somehow NOT met Kenny, this year I have decided that I am going to ... mainly because my little boy is R2-D2 mad at the moment so I'm gonna him (and me) something signed.
  16. My daughter is only 4 and I am willing to pay the full price to get her in early, She came with me 2 years ago and met a few of the guests (Keeley Hawes remembered me when I had my photoshoot because of my little girl). This time She wants to meet Karen Gillan so I am not going to upset her!
