This is exactly why we have the Introduction Topic and groups on Facebook etc :poki:

There are plenty of people that felt they didn't know many other attendees at the last event, but made friends there.

Hopefully this time everyone can get to know a few people before they get there, and it'll be a little easier at the event itself.

So you're definitely not sad, and you're definitely not alone :YAHOO:

Apart from driving down with Sazzy, I'm not sure what I'm doing. I'm staying in the hotel on my own so hopefully I will be able to meet up with people on the day. If you really do get to the bottom of the barrel (which I doubt - everyone is friendly anyway) we could arrange something. =)

Indeed, when you're on your own, there are no consequences and embarrassing stories taken back to be shared among people you know!

So it's all cool. I came to Eclipse 1 with my cousin, and will be going with him to number 2. :)

We made friends quite easily enough, many of the attendees are really friendly and will just come up and talk to you if you look lonely! And as has been said before, when you're standing in a queue, you end up talking to those around you.

I'm not scared of going on my own, per se, I'm just crap at being confident enough to go over and talk to people. Mostly because I would probably end up mistaking someone for someone else. :P

I believe you have just accurately described most Sarmy members :D

This is true, even those of us who weren't drinking were still on the floor!
