  1. Well my friend decided last minute to attend Eclipse 2 and i managed to get her a room that was about to be cancelled (which shows Slay Candy's way of thinking where rooms can be moved to other peoples names can work) and i took this in my name and as i was getting my friend checked in she found out that (other than the guests) she had one of the first renovated rooms, i went to check this room out and i have to say they are amazing rooms, very VERY nice, i was very impressed and jealous as myself and my roomy had went for a luxury room on floor 7 and even though our room was nice the renovated room made me see that once the hotel is done it will be one amazing place to stay room wise as well as the added plus of fab breakfast so i still state people should consider The Park over The Ibis, it would be good to put a deposit but then if maybe theres a section on the forums that could be a waiting list for rooms or even a section where people can discuss swapping there rooms (i dunno) means noone loses out, it is cr*p to have to pay in advance but again Jase+Slay Candy are right that everyones in same boat off paying so rooms wont sell out fast. One thing i do want to know but it is very unlikely to happen but as an event can be cancelled or moved would the hotel room be moved at no extra cost and if an event was cancelled what happens about rooms, would the hotel refund under these special circumstances? I have to admit i knew people that where cancelling there rooms and i only knew off one with a good reaosn as they had started a new job and working over weekend and they had paid for a ticket or the event whilst everyone else had held there rooms and never bought a ticket which i felt was shocking when i had other friends in The Ibis plus Crew having to go over there too. Luckily i took the room of my friends hands (the one with a good reason) and meant he didnt have to worry about it and another friend benefitted It was a great Con, i actually flew down Saturday and also only wanted to meet Stephen and in the end was glad to meet the others and it was such a relaxed and friendly event, the staff was very helpful, the crew are always amazing and the fun things planned at night hehe so funny, the attendees are always put first by ME+SM.

    Many Thanks

YAY I do come in useful with the hugs then ive been lucky and never broke anything but i have fractured/chipped my cheek bone and fractured my skull (dont ask how i did it lol) but lucky never any of my limbs or digits, drive me crazy sitting about even though work is busyyyy id rather be doing something. Got your text hun, yeah chat later or over wkend I still have no access to internet at home at the moment Be texting a few people later re Dec/Jan as its my dreaded birthday coming up and seeing what everyones upto. Also unsure if i told you ive got some interviews lined up eeeeeek, two are P.A. like im doing just now but the other two are fresh jobs where i will be in charge of my own possy of assistants woohoo and im still awaitng to hear back from another six jobs, no harm in trying for them in my eyes but over 8 yrs of being assistant to same person has been a tad draining now, fresh start for 2008, you got any new plans for 2008?
  3. Id like to say a big thank you to Showmasters for another fantastic event, even though i attend showmaster events this was my 2nd event to crew so id also like to thank fellow crew members that worked there butts off, was great catching up with people from C12 and also meeting new people too (im Fiona from Edinburgh, anyone that did meet me). Also thanks to great fans attending the event that made Saturday and Sunday enjoyable to work. Luv Ya all "Bring On 2008 Events" FI x
  4. Yes, at a particular point of the day Craigs queue did go a bit "spewy" but myself and Graham got it back under control as quickly as we could by asking the fans to pull more into the side and that id lose them to the other queue eeeek and they found this funny plus people where with family and friends so didnt realise theyd huddled and whenever i was free from taking money i asked people to politely stick with Craigs queue and Graham would ask further up (great team work hehe) when theyd staggered a bit away from Craigs queue, everyone was understanding but yes it wasnt fair on Peters queue system at the time and i apologise for that *SOWEE* but im hoping everyone still had an amzing wkend as it was fab
  5. Have to admit Craig Charles was a very nice and funny guy, i had the pleasure of doing auto cash Saturday for him and everyone that queued for him where patient and excited to meet him, it was great to see all different fans for him from Red Dwarf dedicated fans to kids that enjoyed watching Robot Wars and then Corrie fans too. I caught him making faces for the camera which Graham (P.A. to him on Saturday) had to keep from laughing to keep camera from shaking hehe but everyone in the queue where great people to chat to as they waited as Kathryn was doing virtual Q and made sure everyone was constantly updated of ticket numbers. Fans seemed thrilled to have met him as he had chatted/bantered with everyone. I missed out on the talks and photo sessions but got told all the stories, hehe

Yeah i was thinking same as Too Tall, you've got great excuse to put your finger up at anyone and have an excuse hehe I got your message on Facebook but ive got limited internet access at the moment so ill be texting more than messaging you for time being Take Care FI x
  7. Thanks Too Tall for another amazing event crewing, this was my 2nd to crew and im hooked came down Friday evening and tried to help as much as could that ngt and then the wkend kicked off and it was FAB Cant wait for next years events and i hope to do as many as i can possibly do, have to admit Sunday wasnt as bad as i thought it would be i really thought it would have been chaotic with James Marsters fans but it was very chilled out. Have a great Xmas and New Year everyone and you to Too Tall, see you all next year

  9. OMG *WOOHOO* When do these go on sale? Friay or Saturday? Im soooooo excited, SJ got me my auto at LFCC so i definately want a photo with Adrian and am definately spreading the word, people would be crazy to miss him FI x
  10. its easy to say "No offense but I don't think it matters what was done" but it weighs on your mind when someone walks away from you, then comes back a different person. I did see her step away from the person infront of me, so maybe he did something I did not see. But it is still abit upsetting to think I say have done somthing that upset her (not that I did anything than put a hand on her shounder, like the 5 others that went before me). Listen, i was there and it wasn't you mate One of the people in front of you did not put his hand on her shoulder but elsewhere, it really wasn't you, she walked away because she really needed to speak to Malcom as well as the other photographer and its a shame that the incident happened as if everyone had acted like you and the others that put there arm on her shoulder it wouldve been fine.
  11. It was a shame about Helen's photo session on Sunday but she was taken by surprise by one of the fans & this did upset her & she should not be bad named for that as noone has the right to touch a guest (or anyone) in an inappropriate way (which to her they did), she did continue with the photo session even though it upset her which i thought was amazing how she put on a brave face for the rest of her fans & not let them down, its a shame that one person had to reck it for everyone else getting close pictures with her. I sympathise with "Superman" but he was unlucky to follow someone that had just upset her & from that point on this was on her mind, shame really, seeing as it was her first proper event as she was really nervous but happy to meet more of her fans. Im just glad she still enjoyed her weekend with us all before & after that incident (from what some of you are saying with her posing for pics at autos etc). But i always find the best way to think for a photo session is to not expect anything more than getting a picture alongside an amazing person that has done well in there industry, i have asked sometimes for a hug & mostly they have voluntarily hugged me too but i never expect it. There have been times the guest has stood next to me & i am happy with this as this is what they want & i still get a picture with them Id hate for them to feel uncomfortable as everyone is entitled to do there job as well as feeling happy. (Hopefully ive not talked out of turn above or ruffled any feathers, no intentions too just my own opinion on this).
  12. If that was Sunday at the front of the James Kyson Lee (Ando) photo shoot then that would be meeee I had such a fun day in photo sessions, great crowd of people to crew with Also had an amazing time chatting to people in the queue as they filed through to see each of the guests, everyone was very patient, pleasant & happy, made my day being surrounded by fab people Saturday i was on Andrew Tiernan's cash desk and even though it wasnt as busy as George Takei's desk i still enjoyed my first ever crew job with Showmaster and was sat next to the fabtastic LALA (who i may say did an amazing job), a great day was had Manchester - Gmex next "Bring It On" P.S. To everyone i met/spoke to/hung out with/danced with it was great meeting you all and see you at the next event. Fiona (FI) Edinburgh
