Cosplay Question

The cosplay this year was once again amazing, well done to everyone who put the hard work into it!

 

I was just wondering if there are any groups/forums etc where the cosplayers tend to hang out and chat? I've looked on here but all I can really find are the rules. It's something my whole family is interested in doing and it would be great to be able to get to know and chat to others who go to LFCC and the other cons. :)

Depends. There's Burning Skies Cosplay on Facebook which is predominantly Dr Who that a lot of people who were at LFCC this weekend are part of. They do welcome other cosplayers like me so they're quite good about that and it is fun mashing the different things up a bit. I did a Tardis/Dr Who/Captain America photo with one of my friends through that! https://www.facebook.com/groups/burningskiescosplay/

 

There is also Cosplayers Assemble! that a mate of mine maintains; it's pretty much for everybody and he was there as a Walking Dead character and Dr Who. https://www.facebook.com/groups/481612092040590/

The best forum/group to check out is UKC (https://www.facebook.com/unitedkingdomcosplay). It's the biggest and most helpful cosplay community for all of the UK.

You have to request to be added to the group but don't let that put you off, it's just so the mods can check you are a real person/not someone just out to troll people or cause trouble. The mods are friends of mine and they are very welcoming and try to make sure spammers don't add themselves to the group.
