extremeladders
was just wondering where and how the photo batches are either shown or created, I don't see anything on the ticket itself?
Stenun
What do you mean by "photo batches"? You mean the photo shoots with the guests?
extremeladders
Yes, I know previously they were occasionally done by the order on the ticket I.e. The people who booked first had the photo first. Now how does batches work? Does booking order have any effect, just planning the day and which slot I'll fit in in the photo schedule. Stenun
Yes, for the busier guests they call them up in batches. I would have thought that for most guests you'll be fine to get in the first slot and the second slot is for buy-on-the-day attendees. However if you do go to the second slot and have a ticket that was called up in the first slot, they'll let you in as one of the first.
extremeladders
That's fine but unless I'm being a pleb, which is possible, it's still not defined what a batch is :) a number chosen at random by the showmaster in charge of the shoot? As many as will fit in a room? Is it likely to go to a shoot, queue, but get turned away?
Moderators etmuse Posted March 18, 2015 Moderators Share Posted March 18, 2015 (edited) A batch is simply a group of 100 photoshoot tickets. So if there is an hour long shoot, that would cover 4 batches, with batch 1 being called to queue first, then 2 etc. It's just to keep the queues manageable! Batch 1 will also always be SOLD first, and only once batch 1 has all sold will batch 2 go on sale (and so on). If there is a shoot with 2 sessions in a day, then the people with the lower batch numbers would be called to queue in the first session, the higher numbers in the second session. Everyone who has a ticket for a photoshoot, whatever the batch number, if they turn up before the end of that guest's session on the correct day (or last session if they have more than one in a day) they will get their photo. extremeladders
Thanks however how would we know what batch we are in? There is nothing on the tickets stating this?
Moderators etmuse Posted March 18, 2015 Moderators Share Posted March 18, 2015 The first sets of e-tickets that went on sale did not have batch numbers (these were added once the queue management question was brought up). If your photoshoot e-ticket does not have a batch number after the guest's name then in effect you are 'batch 0'. (Any tickets sold on the old system that still have numbers will be called before any e-tickets, using those numbers).
andyfilm_1
As etmuse said, the call order will be: 1: Old store tickets by number. 2: Non Batched e-Tickets 3: e-Tickets by batch 4: Tickets sold on the day by number.
