Newcastle film & comic con will be my first con, so excitied. Can anyone give me hints and tips to what to expect etc

Well, for a start you have all the guests signing autographs, doing photoshoots and Q&A panels. Those are a fairly big part of the show and there are more details about each around on the website.

 

There will also be loads of dealer stalls - mostly selling geeky merchandise, or already autographed photos, along with a whole bunch of other bits and pieces.

 

And besides that there are all of the other fans! I personally know almost all of my best friends because of conventions - in queues for autographs or photos especially you're sure to find people who share your interests. There are bound to be plenty cosplayers too, from all manner of fandoms. Most are happy to pose for a picture if you ask.

How does the autograph queue work, i know u buy the ticket for it, but what happens on the day?

Can you leave the con for food and then come back?

Are cosplayers ok with yo

u asking them to stop for a photo?

The cosplayers are always happy to pose if you ask them.
