spymaster
I just changed my e-mail account to Gmail. But Showmasters doesn't seem to want to accept it. Do they not allow Gmail or Googlemail? If so I won't be able to post.
Showmasters Admin Darkblu3 Posted October 28, 2011 Showmasters Admin Share Posted October 28, 2011 Hey Spymaster, Just wanted to say that I had the same issue when I signed up so just set an auto-forwarder on an old hotmail account and that worked. Queen_Sindel
Darkblu is correct, Gmail is indeed on the list of blocked e-mail providers.
cyd0nian
Why is it blocked? Also, I have no idea how I go around it but I'm registered with my Gmail
Queen_Sindel
Why is it blocked? Also, I have no idea how I go around it but I'm registered with my Gmail It was blocked before I had admin rights, so I can't tell for sure. If I remember right we have had huge problems with Gmail spam bots at that time. You have not used gmail, but the longer googlemail version. That's the trick apparently. Any chance of it being lifted? The block was indeed put in place in late 2008. As I explained above, if memory serves me correct the reason for it being implemented were problems with spam bots. I will with the office if we can lift it for a trial period, but I am not making any promises. The spam bot problem has increased a lot since then, and I am not sure if the office wants to give them more ammunition voluntarily.
