Not neccessarily. Some guests may be unavailable for this con, or the other events throughout the year. You never know when they're going to show up :)

SM run a Stargate con and Twilight cons each year, and guests from these still turn up at events like LFCC and EML

well look at it this way

 

you will get to meet guest that you would never meet at a signing event as some of the smaller guest are not be cost affective to bring them in from New Zealand but at a con you get to meat some big guests and also you get to see some of the smaller and interesting guests

 

also having a LOTR con means there will be more gusts from LOTR this year in the UK so its a much better chance for LOTRs fans to meet the cast so in the end its all good for the fans

This is a specialised Con. SM focus on the LOTR (and the Hobbit XP) guests people want to meet and the ones who havent coned here for a while if they can get them here (eg Elijah) however that doesnt stop the guests appearing at other cons (leigha Gibson was in Supernatural and didnt do roadhouse but went to ET4 as she was also in Twilight) So dont worry to much but this is the first LOTR con over here in a long time and will be EPIC!!
