MikeDonovan
I'm undecided as to whether to start a Wargames poster with James Tolkan's Hancock. Thoughts? The issue I have is whether we're ever likely to see any other Wargames-related guests - I think it's unlikely. Anyone got any views?
nicky
No to Broderick, maybe to Sheedy, probably no to Badham. I think the film is about to be remade or sequeled last I heard anyway so that new film may "overlap" the original. I've never been a Wargames fan and I think Tolkan is more memorable for BTTF, Top Gun and Masters of the Universe.

I think you're right - but I've always liked Wargames as a film. Just don't think there are many realistic guests from it...
jweissman
FYI, I was the original director, Martin Brest's fave for the lead in War Games (formerly the Genius) , but the studio thought i didn't have enough clout as a star at the time (Broderick had a few big credits already). I tested with Ally Sheedy, the same day they tested Dana Carvy, Eric Stoltz, brian Backer, John Crowford). I have some great stories to share, if you find me at the show. peace, Jeffrey Weissman

Brest is responisble for one of the best De Niro films ever made - 'Midnight Run'.
