  1. Another additional question to that is what will they sign, will there be 10x8s available for the production crew ?
  2. How long is the tour and are you planning to get to Excel for 2.00 p.m. for registration ?

    Food

Excel has a range of eating establishments in the concourse selling hot and cold food, but they do tend to be expensive and will get quite busy at times. Personally I tend to bring some food with me and often end up eating it on the go, maybe whilst in a queue or sitting in a talk.
  4. Yes, you could have your photo sat in the Delorean at Cardiff for £5. This was a prop shoot, not with guests.
  5. It's never really had sporting guests as a rule, unless you count wrestlers and I can remember a couple of boxers over the years. The focus is on Film, TV, Comics and more recently authors.
  6. Reducing from two to one will probably help the show this year, but the best line up ever, now you would have to be going some for that based on the fabulous guests we have had attend over the years ! I guess Collectormania 4 will always be in my memory forever, or the "Hobbit" one, now that was something else. Some great guests announced for this year so far.
  7. Just do the route in reverse that I mentioned and you'll be fine. :-)
  8. I think autos are going to be very tricky with such a packed schedule. I think I'm going to go not expecting to be able to get them all and then if I do I will be surprised ! Sadly, I think I'm going to miss a lot of the talks.
  9. That made me chuckle, we must be about the same age ! Although I definitely had a "man crush" as a boy on Parker Stevenson. Frank Hardy was my boyhood idol, I absolutely loved the Hardy Boys. And definitely Melina Havelock played by Carole Bouquet in For Your Eyes Only.
  10. I wonder if any other Gremlins cast do events. I don't suppose there's much chance of Phoebe Cates showing up. :-(
  11. Thanks. So 450 photoshoots in 30 minutes that's one every 4 seconds to get everyone from A and C through by 12.45 p.m., and that's assuming it starts bang on 12.15 p.m. which rarely happens and also not allowing any travelling time between photoshoot area 1 and the main stage as well. They are quick, but there is no way everyone in Group A and C will be through that photoshoot in 30 minutes. Yes, we've brought up this point before and been told not to worry, that it will be fine. I've been to a lot of cons and things rarely run on time, lol, but I'm trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. It's going to be a bit like the Flash meets Sherlock as we will all be moving so fast !
  12. I had the problem with my Sherlocked Gold Ticket and also my Richard Dean Anderson Photoshoot, both e-mail came through in around 7 to 8 days.
  13. Back to The Future Group Shot would be Epic. Other possibles, would be good to seek one for Nightmare on Elm Street Guests I think we are still waiting on confirmation of the Robert Englund and Ken Kirzinger , Freddy Vs Jason one. A Power Rangers Shot maybe.
  14. From Paddington you would need to get the Bakerloo to Baker Street (very apt :-) ) then the Jubilee line to Canning Town, change here for the DLR and it is 4 stops to Prince Albert on the DLR.
  15. Thanks. 16. I think I did read this elsewhere on the thread, but just updating my own timetable now and realised there is only one photoshoot session for Mark Gatiss for 1 hour 15 mins on Saturday to get through Groups A, C and Batches 1 and 2. It also runs from 12.15 p.m. to 1.30 p.m. clashing with Benedict Cumberbatch's talk, so effectively we are going to miss the talk or are we able to go to Mark's phootshoot on the Sunday as an alternative ?
  17. I noticed that as well last night.
  18. That's a real shame, I was looking forward to meeting Monica, but I am sure the refund will come in handy to book a shoot with another guest.
  19. 1. Having been going to these events since the first one in 2004, I'm working on the basis of booking no more than 10 per day. 2. Talk length could vary, normally would be at least 30 minutes, up to a max of one hour. 3. Difficult one to answer this year as will be in Olympia over a number of halls, but I hope so ! Hopefully things will be kept together, like all photoshoot areas in the same building for example. 4. Plenty of places that you can use for un-official meeting points. 5. Just need to have a copy on your phone of barcode for scanning or print off. We are all moving a little into the unknown this year as the first Summer LFCC at Olympia and the first year there hasn't been early bird tickets as well as standard entry. However, always best to plan out what you want to do before you get there in the main, certainly would advise to purchase any photoshoots in advance, get virtual auto queue tickets as soon as you get in, so you get lower numbers.
  20. I thought this would be helpful to share as many people will be using the DLR to get to Excel this weekend, changes are mainly to do with the impact of the London Marathon on the Sunday. E-mail from Transport for London below: "I am writing to let you know there will be changes to routes and frequencies on Docklands Light Railway services on Sunday 26 April as a result of the Virgin Money London Marathon. Services will change as follows: • Trains from Beckton and Woolwich Arsenal will not run between Poplar and Bank/Tower Gateway. During this time, please change at Poplar for Canary Wharf to continue your journey to Bank or Tower Gateway. For central London, please use Jubilee line services from Canning Town • Station entry and exit points will change at Tower Gateway, Shadwell, Greenwich and Cutty Sark to prevent overcrowding • Trains between Tower Gateway and Lewisham will begin at 05:30 • Docklands Light Railway services will operate as normal from 17:30 In addition, from Wednesday 22 until Saturday 25 April, some services will be busier than usual due to the registration event taking place at ExCeL."
  21. There's always clashes ! Many years experience of running from one end of a Conventon Center or Hotel to another because things I have booked up have clashed. It is worth studying the schedule in detail and having some sort of plan though before you go, particularly if a guest is only there one day for example, would always make them a priority. Always worth deciding as well what are your must haves and what you are not so bothered about, o.k., it would be great to do everything but chances are to get to all the talks, all the photoshoots and get all the autographs in an event of this scale probably isn't going to happen.
  22. I think I am going to need to take some big deep breaths here, otherwise this is going to start to get complicated and I'm not even thinking yet where the autographs bit comes in !
  23. That's Louise Brekon-Richards at 2pm Golden for the photo's in area 3, not Louise Brealey Hold on, Louise BR already has a second photo session at 4.45 p.m., so it must be meant to be Louise Brealey's second session, although it clashes with her 221B photoshoot session.
  24. Fingers crossed , we don't want any more cancellations !
  25. Look for the photoshoots that are listed as Group D, the batches are for the individual photo sales, not the Gold Packages.
