  1. mmmmmmm chocolate orange. round but not round for long i dont think sex and the city tells women to do anything, isn't it more about discussing issues and the 4 girls make their own choices, often being different from each others ???
  2. Sadly i won't be able to attend this event, but i think this is a great guest, the 1st big brother series will go down in telly history, and craig is a really good sport. I would def be meeting him if i could attend. ALSO, if you don't have anything nice to say about a guest, then don't say anything at all !
  3. I thought wall-e was a fantastic film, really different from anything disney has done before.
  4. Although I'm sure anyone who is interested will already own the DVDs, but for those who don't a complete boxset of Buffy on DVD is on play this week for £50 in their deal of the week section
  5. Oh ok didn't know there wasn't already a record, walt disney world have alot of dressed up people come over to them every year.
  6. Arrived on Friday night had no queue at the registration desk which was nice. Got our packs and correct this time (had problems at eclipse 1). Was really pleased with the gifts that came with the registration pack (chips, autographs etc.) and thought that the 'ID/Pass' card was much better this time as was the chain to hang it from. It was very nice to see the guests around the hotel. Immediatly spotted Adair wondering around the lobby when we arrived, and saw all the rest of the guests a number of times around the hotel having breakfast or in the bar. It was really good to see that people showed the guests a lot of respect and left them alone to go about there business, I think that was probably due to the more seasoned attendees at E2 than E1. Thought the organisation was much better this time around. I had a couple of problems which the crew sorted without any trouble. All the crew seemed to be very friendly and knew the schedule which helped things move along smoothly (and no shouting), I liked that Malcolm got a microphone this time as I'm sure he would appreciate today as he will still have his voice. The parties where a big improvement at E2 than E1 a real effort had been made to engage the attendees and get people together, the casino night was a lot of fun. I agree that this event felt so much nicer and less stressful than E1 this was in no small way due to the lower numbers of attendees, I think the 300 number much better suited the venue I think that 800 (think was the number for E1) was simply too many for that venue. Didn't really attend many of the talks or any of the guest encounters but this gave a nice time to walk into Northampton and do some Christmas shopping. Also bumped into Adair in the Disney Store which was a little surreal made us wonder how many times you might have walked past someone famous and not realised as no one seemed to recognise her. Northampton is a bit rougher than I remember there was a large fight in the street with people having to drag people away by their ankles. Not sur eif anyone else saw this? We also tried to book for eclipse 3 and found that you had to pay in advance and that it was non refundable so decided not to. I think the Park Inn will loose a fair bit of custom to start off with doing it this way, but I guess they had a lot of problems this time round with so few attending. Finally I would like to say a big thank you to CosmicAvatar who will know what I mean.
  7. Treasure Hunt !!!!! Would start complaints from people not at the show that they never had chance to book and just favoured the attendees at the completly seperate event. Either way, people are going to complain no matter whats decided on, as you cant please everyone. No sure I understand your point as it wouldn't be sold at any event they would be for sale on the internet like photo shoots or tickets and no one compalins if they sell out, although I appreciate that there is a much smaller number for sale. But as you say some people will always miss out but that goes the same for photo shoots and tickets to the event etc. anything with a limited number always has the possibitilty of someone being too late to get a ticket and missing out.
  8. And sell them at the registration desk then? Technically a good idea, but it does have one huge flaw in my eyes. It might work for this event because it is rather small and it does not really have a "madness will occur by any means" guest like John Barrowman was at The Hub. People will queue for hours and hours to make sure they get a ticket if it is a really popular guest. People will get mad, the lobby will be full.... and such incidents is just what ME are trying to avoid. Could be sold in advance for future shows, on the website for example as photo shoots are
  9. Did it occur to anyone to just sell the tickets as you would for photo shoots ... divide the cost of the guest attending by the number of attendees per session *(ordinarily add a small but fair fee for profit) and there’s your price. Have a limited number of tickets per session so that over selling can't happen. To be far to those who may not arrive on Friday sell half Friday evening and the other half Saturday morning. I aprecaite there may be concern about numbers queing for these tickets but realistically I doubt this is likely. Very few people seem to be willing to pay for this (myself included) in no small part due to the guests and attendees limited interest in them, coupled with a large number of talks which will most likely cover all questions. * I do agree that this is an extra and under normal circumstances a fee probably should be charged. However, considering the circumstances surrounding this event for example a guest line up that isn't as good as last time despite being promised a bigger and better event and almost 25% of the time we have paid for the event has no activity other than one you would have to fund separately. I think that perhaps it would be a positive gesture to offer these for free/reduced fees
  10. This is a good idea, and still makes some money
  11. Would the numbers work, if every attendee got one session ? Or does it have to be less than that for time reasons?
  12. It's a tricky one, but don't think anyone wants to be charged.
  13. Jason has said that yes, that they've decided the fairest way to do it is just to charge everyone, but this topic is a discussion on possible alternatives that are realistic. He's willing to listen. Thanks David Unlikely to change there minds this late on, all about the money.
  14. Wait i don't understand, ARE WE GETTING CHARGED FOR THIS OR NOT? Its nice to read peoples thoughts, but the con is tomorrow, has a final decission been made yet? btw i dont think reduced price auction could work, only reduced price if it was a fixed rate. Obviously i don't think we should pay, i think either a raffle style with a chance to win one FOR FREE, or some way for everyone to meet at least one person. This event has already cost me a fortune.
  15. It has not been confirmed to me either way. But I beleive you will pay extra for them. I'm not 100% sure about the Hub ones. I think I missed it on the schedule but at what point will Jason be holding us upside down by the ankles and shacking us, to get every last penny.
  16. i might be being really thick, but do we learn our numbers when we registar on friday?
  17. at last, but in fairness at first look this looks like a much better thought out schedule than E1
  18. The omen remake was awful, just awful
  19. shocked by this, gonna watch it this year because of him tho.
  20. thanks, but no just feeling down about this event right now
  21. that this "bigger and better" event hasn't been left behind and have moved on to focusing on other future events.
  22. This is rediculous eclipse is just a couple of days , and STILL no schedule. It really makes me mad.
