  1. Ha ha Chris!! When I saw Will in Manchester I just happened to see what he was working on. I practically bought it there and then, before it was finished, because I knew it would generate a lot of interest and I knew it would have sold!! So, I got my hands on it before anyone else had the chance!! There were loads of people wanting it!! I felt very smug about it lol! It was also the centre-piece of Wills stand, so I let him keep it until I left on Sunday afternoon ha ha!! Ad
  2. Like we've said, they are worth it - they're not things that take 5 mins to do - if that was the case Will would be a millionnaire lol!! Ad
  3. Definately worth it!! You have to see them up close to appreciate them fully! Ad
  4. Here you go (sorry about the quality): Imsure Will could do a 'Lost' version??? This is just the book Will did a while ago - I think its amazing! Ad
  5. I'll post a pic of one Will did for Heroes . . . Im sure he could do one of Lost for you guys. Ad
  6. Will is the coolest dealer around - sorry guys - but he is !!! Im not going to the Lost event, but it would be interesting to see some images that those of you would like embossed etc! Ad
  7. I didnt buy my tickets, but what I will say is that I was amazed at the cheekiness of MassiveEvents to up the prices. I mean, adding £10 onto standard tickets is bad enough, changing the wording to 'one free autograph up to a maximum of 6 guests' - now that is clever, but this is what really annoys me and it just goes to show that these guys dont really think about the fans as much as they ought to . . . . . . They have changed the childrens programme to 'under 10's - £40', so no more free entry for the little kiddies. The other system was better, by far, 'Under 16 - £39' . . . 'Under 7 - Free entry'. Exploitation . . . so wrong. I was going to bring my nephew along to Eclipse 2, but not anymore. The way these events are going is so wrong and the emphasis is not on the fans as much in todays world. This is a shame. Ad
  8. I think you guys need to relax about this . . . you talk about rules etc . . . I was there and those 'rules' that were in place for the WHOLE weekend were quite preposterous. I mean, no photo's . . . at all . . . give me a break!! The guests are fine with it!! I know that for a fact . . . and before someone from SM replies stating 'waiting times/queues' etc as the reason for those quite ridiculous rules . . . . . . Just think about it for a moment - it takes NO time at all to take a photo of the guest signing YOUR item, whether it be one of those canvases, swords or whatever. And even if you wanted a photo of the guest with YOUR item, that takes VERY LITTLE time. I understand the posed photo's thing (as in you with the guest), but even that is going too far sometimes, because SM are exploiting us, the fans, by making us pay more money just to get a photo with the guest. We should have the option. Better organisation and setup would allow us the option of that, which is the right and proper thing to do. Does no-one else think the same here??? Everyone I talk to (people I know), who go to these events that dont post on this Forum think like me. Im not going to name names of course, but I know of quite a few dealers who think the same as well. Cheers!! Ad
  9. Well, this is what I think about this whole thing after reading all these posts; Heathrow - it is expensive and can be VERY hard to get to. Birmingham - around the National Ex. Arena area, quite good (had to write it like this because SM are petty when it comes to talking about anywhere that may even hint about a different event not organised by themselves). Milton Keynes - I enjoy Collectormania, but it can get WAY too busy. Manchester - Terrible for getting into the City. Everything DOES seem to happen in the South of the UK. Maybe it is because of the North/South divide that is STILL there and will always be there??? Why nobody has thought about holding a Special Event or something in Newcastle is beyond me. The event could easily be staged at either the Metro Radio Arena, St. James Park (which has the biggest Meeting/Conference room (at a football club) in Europe), or even at the Hilton Hotel. You can also drive straight into newcastle off the A1, get the train straight into the City Centre or fly to Newcastle Airport then get a train directly to the City Centre! Newcastle also has the best night out . . . in the world . . . FACT! There are some REALLY classy bars & restaurants to take the guests to also. You cant lose. What really annoys me, however, is that things just dont get marketed as well up north as they do down south. That is fact. Ask anyone on this forum who lives up my way. Its a huge shame, because Newcastle is one of the most vibrant cities going and those down south couldnt give a flying . . . er, I wont say that word lol! Anyway, I think if Showmasters got someone to work for them who could market and promote such an event in Newcastle . . . they could be onto a winner. Ad
  10. OH MY GOD !!! I AM DEFINATELY ATTENDING THIS EVENT NOW !!! WITHOUT A DOUBT !!! Ad
  11. What happens if the family only want one photo and it costs £60 to £100 to get it then the single people are happy? Don`t forget that many people bringing the kids are raising the next generation of customers or did all you single people not have parents to genorously take you to conventions and signing events? Did you read what I said? Thats what I am saying. If you are only going to get ONE photo then it should cost the ONE price, no matter how many people are in the photo. If you want more than one photo you pay the price per extra photo. That is FAIR !!! Its not hard people and it is also not discriminating against SINGLE people! If I wanted to get a photo with a guest, it would only be I who would be in the photo - my girlfriend just isnt bothered about being in the photo's - so to reiterate, as a SINGLETON so to speak, I really should be saying that every single person who gets a photo, who are in a group, should each pay the £15/20 price - but Im not saying that because I look at the FAIREST way for all concerned. 12. Try to get Scott Reineger and David Emge from Dawn Of The Dead PLEASE !!!!!!! I only need these two on my poster!!!!
  13. Well done SM for putting Autographica further away from London - was very hard to get to at times when in London. Ad
  14. Again, please read. But, also include the fact that if you are going to get a group picture SM should have the names of those in the group and the number in the group written/typed on the ticket. SM should also in instances like this have a copyright on the photo's, so as to prevent developers from re-developing/copying the photo's and before you say - how many people have professional developing capabilities??: I think common sense needs to prevail here. If you want a photo with a guest, by yourself, you pay the one price. If you are a couple or family or group and decide to get one photo together with the guest, you pay the one price. You only get one photograph at the end of it. If you want more than one photograph then you pay the extra charge. That is not wrong, nor is it unfair. It is your own prerogative to get a photo by yourself or with other people. Ad I also think some people on here are very bitter about this. I dont have kids, and my girlfriend isnt bothered about getting photo's with the guests - only I am. Me, no-one else, by myself. Therefore, you cannot say I am on any side. Ad

  16. I suppose it depends on what the show actually is. I have to say though, not everyone is a Heroes or Lost fan, so this should have no real bearing on the show you are talking about. I support it. Ad
  17. I was there on the Saturday and Sunday, but saw Erick Avari on the Saturday. Someone said not many of the SM staff actually sit with the guests - well that is a lie, how come I have seen loads of SM staff working alongside the guests at SM events?? Ah, whatever the case maybe, it will always be up to the guests and/or agents, never SM themselves . . . Ad
  18. Thanks guys, they're great!! There was a pic of him standing alongside Greg Grunberg - that was the pic I got signed. So, if anyone has a photo of him signing this pic, that would be great. Thanks again for those photo's!! Ad
  19. Hiya, Whenever I meet a guest I always get a pic of them signing my items as well as - when possible - getting a photo with the guest. My girlfriend 'forgot' to take a photo of Matthew John Armstrong signing my pic!!!! Has anyone got a photo of him signing??? Please!?!?!? Thanks, Ad
  20. Just for the sake of interest was it a crew member who was saying no or someone representing him like an agent or something? Im not really sure, the person in question wasnt wearing a Staff t-shirt, but they didnt look like an agent. And I have to point out that I know for a fact that some of the SM staff do not wear event t-shirts. Ad
  21. Firstly, This Collectormania was BY FAR the most relaxed & calm EVER!! Even ALL the staff were nice lol!! Well done SM!! Secondly, I have said a lot about the 'no posed photo's' thing. However . . . . . . I have to totally disagree with the following statement: "we do not make guests not allow photos at the table it is up to the guest and it will always be down to them". Why do I disagree? I will tell you; On Saturday I met Erick Avari - very nice guy by the way - got a signed pic etc and then asked for a photo with him. Now, this is where it gets interesting; Bear in mind it wasnt busy at all, Erick said YES straight away . . . and as soon as he said YES, the person who was looking after him or 'minding' him leaned over and said that he couldnt do that. Erick looked a bit perplexed at this, but as he had already said YES, he posed with me, which was great. Before I left with my signed pic and photo with Erick, I thanked him for his kindness & generosity etc, and as I left I glanced at the woman who said Erick couldnt pose for the pic - she looked annoyed. And it wasnt just me who thought she looked annoyed - my girlfriend who was with me at the time was watching this woman and she said exactly the same. So, tell me please, is it really up to the guests to allow or disallow posed photo's??? . . . . . . I doubt it. I think people should start telling the truth on this matter, because this is not an isolated case (in terms of guests this has happened with). Personally, Im a bit sick of the lies that get flung around at times. Ad
  22. Thanks for the info!! I never actually named any other event company. Cant see the problem with that anyway - we all know Showmasters do the best shows!!! Ad
  23. How come I am the only who is from Durham etc on here - that cant be right!?!? Maybe's I am just the only sad one from here lol! Ad
  24. Hiya, Can anyone let me know where I can get hold of some signed pics of these guests??? Please!!! Guests are; JIMMY JEAN-LOUIS - The Haitian NORA ZEHETNER - Eden McCain Thanks, Ad *Edit* We're not allowed to discuss other events on here, sorry. And if you want anyone giving you somewhere to get these autos, I suggest giving an email address as we can't advertise companies etc on here either. Thank you Oh and JJL does have a website if you wanted to find that and contact him .. I did
  25. LFACC 2007 - Mads Mikkelsen. One of the Collectormania's - Paul Norell (King of the Dead, LOTR), girlfriend and I spent ages talking to him, very nice. Collectormania 7 - Kristanna Loken - was amazing.
