Well, I have been going to signing events for over 10 years and I am going to G-mex mostly because I want to meet Gerry Anderson and the UFO guests, and just because you don't find these guests impressive doesn't mean other people don't. Yes, it is a shame the celebrity you wanted to meet isn't able to attend, but that's the name of the game in this business. In my opinion, moaning about it isn't really constructive. I am looking forward to Gmex2, with or without Brandon Routh, I hope SM can get him for another show.

Hi Mogoleth, I know exactly what you're saying, as you will have noted, if you have read my posts on the subject. And I agree with you that London is expensive and not easy to get to if you're on a budget. And yet ultimately it was always going to be London...why? I don't know. Hi Magoleth, I'm sorry you're so upset about it being in London, but ultimately, it was always going to be....The poll was started by a forum member, and it was in no way an official thing , but they are asking what we lliked about TFF. Reguarding the guests, if you recall, The first Galadriel Ball was opened by the Parkers, but was named so because Julia McGee was hosting it, Julia playing Galadriel for the occassion. The ball was there for the attendees who didn't make the black tie do with the guests. The artists only attended the ball on the last evening of the second TFF, for about 30 minutes after the feast. That was TFF...I don't know if Ring con will worlk similarly:smile: And I think Jason means after Ring Con is over...plus, if memory serves, the guests found plentyof time to play at TFF

I think we all realise the organisers know what they're doing and that it'll probably be London anyway. Showmasters have always encouraged its patrons to give feedback and suggestions, and I think that's all these threads are about. Once the location has been set, we'll all get on with it.

Photo ops are go! I don't think I have a single pics of your costumes! Although I have seen a few ( photos & costumes). Somehow in all the excitement of the shows I forget to get the old camera out aren't you tempted to bring your Lothlorien Haldir now?

TFF organisation were all for banners and decoration for the venue, but as D20 said, Wembley had a big thing for risk assessments...

Well, I was originally only wearing my UFO costume at Gmex, but I fancy bringing Eowyn ( for obvious reasons...lol) I can't wear it all day as it's heavy, being made of wool, leather and steel, so I'll probaly change half way though the day. I was only asking cause it'd be nice to get other LOTR costumes together. I haven't seen your Leggy, so I'll be looking forward to that! Plus I want pics!!!

Emma, are you doing a LOTR group for GMEX? Cause I'll probably be wearing my Eowyn/ Durnelm armour at some point. Unsure as yet if I'll be up both days

Make your own robe! Not too difficult, and with a little help it's even easier! Look at this robe pattern from Sewingpatterns.com, it's very similar to the design. Or if you want to have more use out of your pattern, get this one so you can make different cloaks and capes. And for fabric, a bit of dark grey or black wool or even felt should do the trick! A school jumper from Debenhams can have a coloured trim added to the neckline, and you are nearly there. Not too difficult.. I will proberly make Legolas' coranation outfit (shiny ) I'd like to make it to another show uk, I'll probably bring all my clutter...that is my elven armour and Dernhelm outfit! it'd be cool to have a miny elven or rohan army? what dies anyone else think?
