Hi everyone, We're looking at booking up our hotel for HW4 and just had a few questions about the special con rates Does anyone know the Ts and Cs of booking using the special rate? IE if you booked and then couldn't make it to the con for whatever reason would you be expected to pay some/all of the balance or a cancellation fee? Also do the special rates include taxes?? Thanks for any help Becky
  2. Seth Green or Eliza Dushku are the two guests I would be most excited to see
  3. Getting Seth would be AMAZING.
  4. Under Your Spell has always been my favourite so it was great to hear Amber sing it
  5. We had a great weekend as always so thanks guys for all your efforts. As a few others have already mentioned, we found the autograph system a bit confusing and kept finding ourselves unsure if we were in the right queue or where we were supposed to be going - I know the hall wasn't the biggest so space was limited, but some signs or a bit more guidance would have been helpful. Not that we had any trouble getting to see anyone, just that we had to keep turning to pester the person behind us and ask what queue we were in The drinks at the parties were also ridiculously expensive, £4 for an orange juice! I don't know if SM have any control over this sort of thing at all but it did make us a bit wary about how much we were spending at the parties, which is a bit of a shame really. The choice of drink was also very limited. Lastly, as a request for next year - please could we have some 'games' and the like at the parties? Similar to the saloon bar thing on Friday - that was fab. Not everyone likes or are physically able to get out on the floor so it's nice to have some other things around to play with! Overall though it was a fab weekend - the hotel was lovely, very friendly, and the rooms were very nice and the staff very helpful. A bulb went in my bathroom and tripped all the lights in my room off but someone was there within ten minutes to sort it out so very happy with that. Roll on HW4!
  6. Great announcement, and how lovely that this is her first con! Looking forward to meeting her
  7. Tony was great last year - it will be lovely to meet him again! Getting home from work and seeing two new guests, and now this, has made my day
  8. Thanks, I didn't know that. Does that mean people wandering around in Western gear both Friday and Sunday evening I was actually planning to just go with a nice dress for the Highway Robbery Ball as I can't find anything Western/Cowgirl... so now I'm worried! Don't think I'll be doing much dressing up this year...
  9. I'm not 100% sure what to do for the Sunday night theme - I've not seen much Firefly so I don't quite get it - I gather it's supposed to be oriental, but would anything else do? I have nothing oriental in my wardrobe
  10. I now can't afford to buy a costume before the event so I'm hoping the Friday will be something relatively open. Something like The Prom would be good; most people own some sort of formal/smartwear so could come along in a nice dress/suit, but the option is there to do a more outlandish costume if you wish (Hellhound?? )
  11. My top 5 favourite eps would have to be... 1. Graduation Day (both parts) 2. Hush 3. Passion 4. Dopplegangland 5. Earshot And because you can't have just five..! I am also extremely fond of What's My Line, Band Candy, Fear Itself, The Body, The Gift, Two To Go and Chosen. If I just had to choose 'the best' episode, in terms of writing and performance, it'd be The Body, hands down.
  12. Excellent, thanks!! I googled the little garage shop - looks like a small Somerfields (unless it's changed hands) so with a bit of luck they'll have a choice of edibles! Not after anything fancy, just a change from cheeseburger and fries
  13. Hi everyone Just a quick question for anyone who might have been to this hotel before and/or know the area... Are there any little shops/newsagents within walking distance of the Radisson, or anywhere you can get food? Although I wasn't mad on the Thistle, I really liked the convenience of the garage/shop there and the fact that you could buy sandwiches and other things. I know there's a McDonalds more or less next door, but I suspect I might struggle to eat there for a whole weekend... Thanks for any help
