as much as I'd love them to do those themes, I think the parties are going to be based around Season 2 themes, so I'd definitely think the Maryann's wedding will happen, but maybe the last 2 for next year :) xxx My thoughts exactly. If we weren't allowed to talk about season 2 at Bitten, then I'm guessing we're not allowed to talk about season 3 at bitten2... (unless they can offer that people who haven't seen it leave the hall for the last 10mins or something) so we're defo not going to have season 3 party themes.

I very much doubt they'll do the throne at fangtasia the same as at Bitten

When attendees already attend other weekend cons and are considering attending another one as an extra, sometimes the price of the con hotel can be too much - and I know that I would rather save on hotel to have more money to put towards a more expensive con ticket. I could have booked the Park Inn but then I would have only been able to budget for a standard ticket, and no photos... whereas this time I booked the Travelodge across the road in the sale (so I could afford a gold ticket) as I blondely believed that SM & ME would live up to my previous experiences and this con would go ahead. That'll teach me!!!

Also really gutted you wouldn't run it with Being Human guests who would attend. They were my main reason for coming, especially as I was injured last summer and couldn't make it to LFCC to meet the big 3

Grrrrrr! Can't get a refund for my travelodge. That's £45 down the drain. Gutting to hear the news - thanks for letting us know, just wish the news had come earlier

I love Undermind, definitely more than Fear of Fiction. I talked about them both to Sam at Bitten on the phone when he was out for dinner with my friends who won the dinner auction :) Annonymous Rex is hysterical too oh, and I also love the short but sweet glimpse of him as a gay best friend in that film with Winona Ryder in... er, wassitcalled?? Oh, yeah - Autumn in New York.

well despite having paid for a non-refundable hotel, I've been looking at alternative fun things to do that weekend.... Shame really!

Hi sorry I am feeling a bit dippy but what did you mean by " just stop making millions of diff events what ever happened to bringing them to like comic con and collectormania.." cheers so many cons, like some for vampire diaries, then true blood, and all the others people watch a lot of shows and cantr afford to book for each one thats another reason there not seeling, why cant they bring the guests to comic con and collectormania... but there's a HUGE difference between conventions (ETs, Bitten, Roadhouse etc) and the signing events (Collectormania LFCC etc). If I had to chose it would be weekend cons all the way for me. Signing events are so impersonal, and once the day is over then that's pretty much it. Weekend cons are awesome because there's parties and guest encounters and auctions.

I know you have no guest, no idea what's going on. I wish we had something said to us as well regarding ET5. Waiting is NOT fun! yeah but we have 4 guests for et5 and remember we had 2 suprise guests at e4 so thats nothing to worry about as we know that wont get cancelled no matter what! this one has no guests no news if its taking place, being postponed or being cancelled its a bit harder to plan for an event with no guests than one with 4! not having a go so i hope it didnt come out that way! no worries at all. But I think SM need to talk to us regarding events especially when they say they will give news "soon" and it's been some time. I'm talking for both cons. I understand very well that the wait for this con, for new about it happening or not is worst. oh yeah thats one thing that does get to me all the false hope thats thrown around cuz i know they say this stuff to make people feel better but then when said time runs out and we are still in the same place we were it puts on downer on the situation again! but at least the longer they hold out telling us anything, gives me more days in work to work up extra hours so I may not have to go in as early on the Monday after the con

I totally agree. I've already bought a ticket, but only watch 2 out of the 3 shows - and I love 1 of them. If all the effort is going into getting one headlining guest, it's going to lead to disappointment. This event should cover all 3 shows equally to be fair. I wouldn't be surprised if they have smaller guests lined up (that may not be enough to sell out the con on its own) which they can then announce if the main attraction ("big guest") is confirmed. It's not like they'd run a con with only one guest. I was going to buy my ticket on Monday when I get paid, but I'm going to wait for this annoucement now as if it's postponed or cancelled then I'd rather have the money in my account than wait for a refund... and then maybe spend it on ET5 instead.

There seems to be some confusion about this at the moment. The Hub was under the same booking rules (fully prepayment due until the end of January), but when attendees called to take care of the payment they also were told that the balance was due on arrival. I've asked the office to check on this. Hopefully Mark will be back with an answer soon. If they don't need full payment by the 31st that would be a MASSIVE help on my current bank balance!!! *fingers crossed*

I've already started planning (and making) my cosplays regardless of themes... :)
