  2. I'm so happy Well done SM, this a great announcement and another one for us very patient Predator fans to thank you for. Good luck with coaxing the remainder of the cast into attending, although I'd love to meet Sonny and Richard again, they were both awesome. I hear Arnie's between jobs at the moment, he'd be perfect!!!!!! !!!! Thanks again...
  3. cool, what a guest to announce so glad i got my descent dvd cover signed at C16 by myanna buring any chance of alex reid, saskia mulder and the others???
  4. A Predator guest I hope, like Shane Black or Bill Duke perhaps. Maybe Aliens, Bill Paxton would be sweet. Cheers!
  5. What a day Thought I was gonna have a nightmare when I got to London and found out that the Tube was in a mess, but we prevailed. I got there at about 12.00, I think and only got autos this time. First up was Robert Llewellyn who I'd met before, and he dedicated a classic Kryten line on my series 4 DVD sleeve. Then I met the truly ace Bob Keen. He had models of some of his work on his table and when he got the Dog Soldiers animatronic head from a bag behind him I nearly fainted! Got a great pic of me, Bob and the head, I wish I'd have asked if I could've tried it on! Great guest SM! Chipo Chung was next and she was lovely. She signed my Sunshine DVD sleeve and wanted to leave sufficient space for other cast members to sign. Very thoughtful. My only virtual queue ticket of the day was Billy Dee Williams and he was a joy to meet. I wish I could say the same for the guy who was sitting with him when I met him, who was ignorant & rude. I always go to SM events alone and when I ask for pics with the guests the SM staff are more than willing to help me out, but this guy just pointed to next dude in the queue! Very disappointing. So, from there I caught up with Cynthia Scott who, at the second attempt successfully placed my accent as being from Yorkshire. She loves local accents and told me that the man who helped Sigourney Weaver move the powerloader in the film was also from Yorkshire, amazing. Next up was Barbara Nedeljakova who, as I've said in another thread, was awesome, would love to meet her again. And last up was a man who's got a lot answer for, producer of Star Wars and Empire, Gary Kurtz. I thanked him for making these 2 monumental movies and when asked which was his favourite, he chose Empire. A very nice man. Saturday was a great day and I'm sure 2010 will be just as good as 2009 when it comes to events. Keep up the great work SM.
  6. I met her. What a babe, and a lovely girl as well. Got my picture taken with her too. I also noticed that she was without an assistant most of the time on Saturday and took the money for autos by herself. I find this puzzling because I personally would've fallen over myself to sit with her all day! We talked about the possibility of a Hostel 3, and she told me that she talks to Eli Roth quite regularly, so watch this space film lovers! Would meet her again in a flash.
  7. Gutted that Ray can't make it, but really pleased with this announcement. And I know just the poster to bring to get signed.
  8. No way! Excellent guest showmasters, truly excellent. She sounded sooooo sexy as the voice of Icarus in Sunshine! Now I'm gonna meet her too. Can't wait!
  9. Looks like my Aliens poster will be going to London again. Any chance of Al Matthews as well? I missed him the last time. :)
  10. Richard Chaves was the only guest I met at Collectormania MK and he was awesome! He was so friendly and introduced himself straight away as I shook his hand. As you will all have found out, it was a bit chilly over the 3 days but Richard confessed to being a fan of British weather! I told him the weekend before had been warm but he didn't seem to mind the chill in the air on that Friday morning. I then got my Predator group shot signed and asked him to put one of his favourite lines on there as well, it was one that I'd not thought of. Bonus. We both agreed that Predator was a very quotable movie and that Poncho had a few of the best lines. I did meet him again before I had to go for a personalised auto and a "you got time to duck" dedication. Showmasters, you have exceeding yourselves. I loved meeting Richard and can't wait for you to announce Jesse, Bill, Carl, Shane or even Arnold! All 5 would be a bit greedy!!! Thank you
  11. No way! I hope he's gonna be there on the friday.
  12. It was awesome to meet Sonny at the weekend and I can't wait to meet Richard now. If ShowMasters can get any other Predator guests for Collectormania MK, LFCC or Collectormania Manchester then this should be an exciting summer. Damn fine work peole!
  13. Thank you all at ShowMasters for a truly excellent day out. It was an insanely long day for me as I'd gone to the event straight from a 12 hour shift at work and spent over 3 hours on public transport!!!! When I finally arrived I was relieved to see that none of my 3 guests had done a last minute cancellation. David Morrissey fans must have been well gutted. As I entered I noticed that there wasn't as many stalls as other events and that it was pretty small. This proved to enhance the atmosphere of the event as everyone was really friendly and having a great time. First on my hit list was Sonny Landham and the fella did not disappoint. A very charming, welcoming man who appeared to enjoy meeting his fans every bit as much as they enjoyed meeting him. His talk was entertaining as well, random anecdotes and in particular the fight demonstration. Classic. The only downer was I had to leave before the photoshoot, so didn't get my pic with him. Next time Sonny! Next up, George Harris. A signature that was an absolute must on my Raiders poster. What a nice bloke, very softly spoken and extremely friendly. We talked about the Raiders shoot near La Rochelle and the U Boat, which also featured in the German flick Das Boot. A delight to meet. Finally, Ke Huy Quan. His queue was pretty slow moving but after a few minutes I got to meet the man himself. I was surprised by how little he seemed to have changed from the mid 80s, he must have access to some kind of fountain of youth or something! He was a nice guy and his partner was lovely too almost jumping off her seat when I asked to have our picture taken. I got 1 autograph and it will soon have a place of honour on my wall when I buy a frame for it. Overall I had an awesome, if not very long day. And when Collectormania MK comes round (or any event with Predator guests) I'll be doing it all over again! Thanks
