  1. I've been to many different events over the years be it to do with film, sports, music, etc and I must say the guests that SM do put us into contact with are usually always the best. Each organiser brings different positives to their events and the styles. I go to the SM events because of the guests they bring (just remember this time round you are still getting 2 Heroes guests, a rare Buffy guest and a little something for everybody in terms of horror and comedy guests too). And I will go to a certain other event because of the vast amount of stalls and activities to do throughout a weekend. I will admit the lineup is a little "thin" compared to past events. Just last night I was reading through an old magazine and it had an advert for the first Manchester event, the lineup was huge! But that doesn't mean there isn't any quality there. Hell, I'm only going to meet like 2 people but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy the day :) And yes some guests do come online to these forums, Kenny Baker is usually always on here so has probably seen the "sleeping Kenny" tribute thread from Midlands When a lineup usually doesn't have lots of guests I want to meet, something I try to do is get friends to come along who DO have people attending they would like to meet, but have never been to an event before. It's always fun showing them round telling them about everything sound like a "know it all" But anyways I'm waffling on. Got to go shower and get ready to drive to Manchester. I'm just gutted DavidB isn't there to compliment guests for me
  2. kenny is a legend. should be president or something. or even king. king kenny. awesome.
  3. she was in X-Men 3 as part of Magnetos brotherhood. she had purple highlights and walked through the wall near the end to surprise Dr Worthington....i think
  4. wasnt he also in gladiator? legend of a film. try checking his website
  5. Well I might as well throw some sort of selection box up seeing as its almost Christmas... I was about to upload a 3rd picture but i realised it was taken at another event and i know how much all these companies rant against each other. tis like a warzone. or business as some would say. hope to see some of you there as at this rate im driving down there alone J.
  6. It's important for any business to try and expand its boundaries. But from what I saw in Manchester over the weekend, speaking to fans, guests and dealers, there is just too much going on at the moment for anyone to make good business. At one point during Sunday it was that quiet I think all but James Marsters had gone on lunch! Alot of people have spent hard earned money on upcoming and already announced events like Eclipse and Lockdown that it wouldnt warrant spending anymore to go to Manchester really. I went personally to get some long awaited Red Dwarf autographs for my collection and to meet Malcolm but other than that it was a very quiet weekend for all. Did anyone notice how empty it was from stalls/dealers? Namely the large area in between the photo shoot/talks area. And of course theyre killing competition. 2 companies if you ask me
  7. Only met 4 peeps today and got photos with 3 of them. Got to go back tomorrow to get McDowell's auto on my Heroes poster. I couldn't believe Adrian had an Open Q! Madness! Peter Mayhew was abit ignorant, but Kenny Baker more than made up for it. Had a good 20 minute conversation with the legend. Craig Charles was drinking something that I now want because he was well hyper! Chris Barrie was a true gentleman and I got in trouble for asking for his website details? Oh well. Weren't as many stalls as the last one, did anyone get an empty feeling? Maybe its the calm before the storm that will be James Marsters' fan base tomorrow! Anyways enough ranting heres my 3 of the day hopefully more tomorrow Enjoy! J.
  8. theres too many events to spend money on now though. i try to get as many as i can right now but costs of travel and accomodation are going to rack up the more events that are announced
  9. LOL I wouldn't put it past some guys... And yes, I do! Two, actually. A red one and a blue one. And I hope your going to have those 2 on show over the weekend?
  10. This means I can FINALLY get his signature on my trilogy poster....so long as there is enough funds in the bank after MK just gone by
  11. Dude/Dudette (not sure which) Conventions totally rule as you stay in the hotel all weekend. Go out to McDonalds when you promise yourself you won't. Get drunk with complete strangers who turn into lifelong friends. In other words...you will be fine. DUDE all the way! i really should change the nickname I already have too many Mcdonalds when home in Wales This is the second time I have been wrong. I thought Psychosis was a dude, but it was the other way around. Does Psychosis have a cheerleader outfit if I recall?

  13. Yey people to talk to. magical I just hope I dont drink too much and start dancing! that could be dangerous
  14. OOOh err. Just realised I bought a gold ticket for the event but I dont know anyone else with one so it could be a very lonely nights partying for me
  15. The potential for a British team is there with Regal even being a manager. Problem is Regal is covering as GM and I doubt he would want to do a managerial role, and I would think theyre trying to keep Harry Smith as a singles star. Is he as well built as Davey Boy was? Its been a while since I saw Harry wrestle. Do you think there will be a Jericho/Orton feud lined up when Y2J returns? (If it goes through of course..)
  16. Hallelujah! Chris Jericho has to be one of my all time fave all round decent wrestlers. He can work both in the ring and out which is what its missing right now. I will be gutted if RVD goes to TNA without ever having a decent championship shot in WWE. He more than deserved it. What with Booker T and possibly Flair on the way out too the roster as you say is exceedingly thin. Merging it to one brand does seem the logical thing to do. The only reason they split in the first place was because Vince bought out WCW if im not mistaken? I hear the British Bulldog's son has a lot of potential so heres hoping
  17. I totally understand all of your comments and respect your feedback. Like I say I think I went over far too much into a rant, must be because Im stuck in work til 8 tonight Its still a shame though that so many feel they will get neglected or be put over if going to work for Vince but the bottom line is the WWE is still the top company in the business. It does please me to see a development territory opening over here, we need more Davey Boy Smiths and Dynamite Kids To be fair they need to invest a lot of work in the tag team ranks the most I would say. Its totally fallen off the table with the shallow level in the roster pool. Do the Hardyz want to be singles wrestlers now or is that the creative team keeping them apart? As that WOULD help the tag team division greatly I would say, or at least give it a kick start reboot its needing.
  18. It saddens me to see the WWE in such a state. I've been watching wrestling since the 80s when I was young and the current era is absolutely dire. Must be why Gangrel moved to Birkenhead with his wife Luna Vachon! (true fact believe it or not though) HBK and Bret Hart were always favourites of mine growing up and now HBK is looking frail and the Hitman even worse since leaving the ring. As good as Triple H is I cant be bothered watching him anymore, hes everywhere. I always thought Randy Orton would do well but hes that much of a n00b he doesnt help himself progress easily in the company. Rey Mysterio against Finlay? Why? They went on in the Monday Night Wars about older wrestlers wanting to remain in the spotlight but now things are that bad they have no choice but to bring back "golden oldies"; Finlay, Ron Simmons, etc I was personally gutted to hear the Hart Foundation got axed because they released Teddy Hart. Oh well. Vince has too much pride to listen to anyone but himself. Which is a crying shame. They should also give up on ECW as it simply doesnt carry a big enough roster to warrant decent television. Only good things these days are the SD VS RAW games that come out every other term Did anyone prefer the era when there were stables of wrestlers? I thought that was great. the Nation of Domination, D-X, nWo, Too Cool, Corporation, Ministry, etc Oh well I feel I have ranted on far too much and slightly off topic. Cyber Sunday, I hope it will be good as I actually plan to stay up and watch an event this time, something I havent done for a long while. Orton vs Kennedy please, I wish Undertaker would finish Batista as hes far too arrogant, Mysterio to kill Finlay also. Easy win. And Punk for the victory over all of them. Cheers
