  1. I only went to meet the footballers, had a bit of a wander round. They were great. I have no idea who most the other guests were as they are not to my interest, but I have now Googled Evanna Lynch and have an idea who she is. Made me a bit hot under the collar! haha. What a beauty!
  2. The guys were all absolute gentlemen and a pleasure to meet. They all showed interest in what I got signed. They would put some of today's footballers to shame.
  3. Still time for any more footballers? :)
  4. More footballers plllllllllleeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaasssssssssssseeeeeeeee
  5. Felt real sorry for the feamle Showmasters assistant I saw, not sure if the same one had responsibility all day, she seemed at her wits end bless her. I find it a bit comical with the whole shirt thing - more for the fact that I think there was still the option of getting an item (although not shirts) and a photo or similar signed, as the Showmasters lady was tallying off what was what. Therefore my question is this. If I had paid a premium to get an item signed, do you think he would have signed a cricket bat for me if asked?
  6. They say it's always diasppointing to meet your heroes don't they... however Given the press and everything over these last few years I wen't in with a frame of mind that wasn't expecting anything. He didn't seem on the best form but was polite enough to me and showed interest in the book I asked him to sign. Admittedly the no signing shirts rule seemed a bit bizarre. Alot of money perhaps, but to me an oppotunity not be missed, and a photo I will treasure. Feel sorry for those who left with negative experiences.
  7. What do we reckon to times on Sunday? Guess it'll be a bit later, with it being a Sunday and all?
  8. Fingers crossed on Steve Davis confirmation ... please be Sunday! :-)
  9. By far the biggest draw for me too... unless another icon is pulled out the bag. I don't know how or if this event is advertised and as such how popular it will be - so my other concern is getting there and finding queues are such etc that I don't get the oppotunity to meet him / get his autograph. As such, do people think its worth being able to prepay for his autograph in the online shop, in the same fashion as the photo session?
  10. Keep an eye on the prices topic, here http://showmastersonline.com/forums/index....showtopic=68454 I would guess that Paul will be similar at £10. Possibly £15. I know that thread thanks I'm guessing he will be a lot more... if a photo is £30.00... then an autograph may even be more? Worth though I don't care. Idol.
  11. How long until some more announcements? Hungry for more!
  12. My brother lives in dublin and told me about this- http://www.joe.ie/gaa/gaa-news/dublin-keep...match-0011091-1 Do you think Jason will still be appearing? Has a couple of months to recover I suppose!
  13. With the event a good few months away, is it fair to say the guest announcements are still going to be a while? I'm naively checking the forum everyday, knowing in my heart of hearts I'm wasting my time at the minute, but I cannot stand the suspense of it all!
  14. Im going for the stereotypical footballers I'm afraid, thats all that really interest me... ex England Internationals in particular. I'm all for the Italia 90 reunion, I think that's a fantatsic idea, the first World Cup I remember, and with great fondness. Massively selfish, but if you wanna concentrate on those who's autographs I don't have already then I'd appreciate it hehe! Gary Stevens, Stuart Pearce, Terry Butcher, Bryan Robson, Peter Beardsley, Gary Lineker, Paul Parker, Tony Dorigo, Steve McMahon, David Platt, Steve Hodge, Paul Gascoigne & Trevor Steven. Oh and I guess David Seaman technically, although he pulled out late with injury. Would also like to see players from the Euro 96 squad who I havent met yet. (Seaman, Pearce, Platt, Gazza as already listed from Italia 90) Plus Gary Neville, Alan Shearer, Darren Anderton, Steve Howey, Ian Walker, Nick Barmby, Jamie Redknapp, Steve McManaman, Phil Neville, Steve Stone & Robbie Fowler Also would like to see some of the World Cup winning squad of 66, but those who haven't done the rounds already at Showmasters events, the forgotten squad meebers, or those who just don't appear. Bobby Charlton (although have read this is a near on impossibility to secure Bobby for these events), John Connelly, Ron Springett, Jimmy Armfield, Gerry Byrne & Terry Paine. Ummm Matt Le Tissier, Wayne Rooney, Michael Owen. Think thats about it, if I think of any more will let you know. Not asking too much is it?? Looooolllllll Oh, and David Beckham. Easy! hehe :) :) :)
  15. Looking at other 3 day events before I thought they'd tending to incorporate a bank holiday, of which that Friday is not. I obviously have no inside knowledge on these things but you'd've thought such an event on a normal working day would struggle to be profitable with the likelihood of a reduced number of attendees?
  16. The dates are listed as 15th-17th July, is that correct? Fri-Sat-Sun? Just thought the Friday inclusion seemed a bit odd?
  17. Errrmmmm soooo.... does anybody have an answer for me on this? Admins? :-)
