We need Kai Owen at Hub3!
  3. Really! TBH, it was some of the questions fans asked that made me cringe far more than anything the panel could have responded. At any rate, I loved Gareth, John and Kai, etal at Hub1--I can't remember ever laughing so hard as I did that weekend; had a great time with Gareth, Kai, Matt, Tom, Burn, etal at Hub2 and I cannot wait to see GDL, JB and JM and everyone at Hub3. Beyond chuffed that Gareth's finally been signed for this!
  4. If Gareth seemed OTT in any way at Hub2, I can't blame him. Think about the timing: by Hub2, filming for CoE was done...and so was Gareth's time as Ianto on Torchwood. How he got through that weekend, having to keep mum about that fact, whilst everyone was getting all excited, asking about a possible 4th season, etc., etc....he had to get through that weekend knowing what was coming, knowing his character had been killed off and he couldn't say a word about it, obviously. Fans all excited to see him, telling him how much they loved his character, how much they enjoyed the relationship between Jack/Ianto, asking him all sorts...I can't imagine what that must have felt like for him. So I don't blame him one bit for anything he said or did, knowing what we now know. I am so looking forward to seeing him again.
  5. Gareth IS COMING TO HUB3 !!!!!!!!!!! http://www.garethdavid-lloyd.co.uk/
  6. Every day I check this message board and every day I check my email, hoping to see an announcement that Gareth David Lloyd has been added to the guest list for Hub 3. Please, please, get Gareth for Hub3.
  7. PLEASE SIGN GARETH DAVID LLOYD for HUB3 PLEASE, Showmasters/ME.

    Tom Price

I would LOVE to see Tom Price again at Hub3. I saw that twitter of Tom's and I sooooooo wish someone from SM/ME would sign him up!! And Gareth, too!!!
  9. I very much want to see Gareth and Kai at Hub3, mixing with John as they did at the first Hub --that chemistry--especially the playfulness between Gareth and John-- is irreplaceable and most of my favourite moments from that first con are down to them. OTOH, I also really wish you could get RTD --he's the reason we're all where we're at now, remember! And lord, he's brilliant, witty, and would be a terrific guest, even moreso if you could have JB, Gareth, etal alongside him. Tom Price is, as his website addy says, priceless. He was wonderful. As was Matt Rippy. The two of them, in very different ways, were so much fun. Please bring them both back! It would be terrific if you could get Chris Chibnall, as he's been a principal writer, as well. I have to be honest here and say I'm not keen on Freema taking a spot that might otherwise be filled by one of the people above. And that is because I associate her primarily with Doctor Who. Yes, she was in some eps of TW, but still, I see her as a DW character.

    Heckling

Ophelia, reddragon and Persephone 1's posts kind of sum up how I feel about it as well. And although, yes, a small bit of it was instigated, most of it wasn't -- there was an awful lot of shout outs/heckling from the crowd. I know I missed many things guests said because people in the audience were shouting over answers, etc.
  11. Thanks for starting this thread, owlpost. I was wondering about what we could do for Comic Relief, too. Like Blaid Drwg, I think I'll be sporting a rednose or a button, at the very least. It would be pretty neat to see a sea of Red Noses at the Con, LOL
  12. I am willing to bet that the majority of the 42,000 *complaints* are largely people complaining how unfairly John's been treated in all this by the media. Thousands of us have, indeed, contacted the BBC--not to complain about what John did, but to express our wholehearted support of and love for him!
  13. Fantastic news! She was a delight at the Rift, so we're really looking forward to seeing her at the Hub2!
  14. This is an excellent idea. Jason, my partner --like a lot, if not most, of people -- has to work. Even after she gets home, we then have a long drive (3-4 hours, depending on traffic) to get up to Northampton. We got silver for the 1st Hub and had such a wonderful time that we went ahead and splurged to get Gold for Hub2. But if you schedule all sorts of new stuff for Friday afternoon, we'll be two of among many people, of all ticket ranges, who will lose out completely, as we cannot get there until Friday evening at best. Please, please reconsider. Or, if you must schedule something, karaoke krazy's idea is a good one.
  15. Ditto to so much of what has already been posted here. It was one of the best weekends of my entire life (and at my age, that's saying something!) Had so much fun and am so looking forward to the next one. Thank You Showmasters and Thank You to all the terrific guests!!
  16. We loved the 40s-themed party, too, so we're hoping that'll be done again in March -- especially hoping they'll have the Swinging Sisters(?) back again. They were fantastic!
  17. Oh please, oh please, oh please, Oh Pleeeeeassse issue a dvd!
  18. Like most if not all!) attendees, my partner and I had a blast. We signed on for Hub2 Sunday morning and are really looking forward to it! I do have a couple nagpoints -- Blackbird's already touched on one: money for Intimate Encounters. We, too, thought it would have been better if the money for those (and, indeed, for things at auction) had gone to charity. That said, with things like the IEs going to the highest bidders, only the people with plenty of disposable cash can participate. It would have been nice to have something special done as, say, a raffle to which anyone could apply for a small entry fee and the winners would be picked from a hat, so to speak, giving everyone a fairer chance. There were loads of us who could not/did not bid on the IEs or anything else, because we couldn't afford it, or couldn't possibly compete with the people with lots of money to spend. The other thing is a personal one, and will prolly sound old-fogeyish to most everyone else: ummmm, the sound levels at the dances. I don't know whether it was the speakers or just that the djs had the volume up to maximum, but it was so loud, we had to leave as it literally hurt my ears to stay in the room. It wasn't the choice of music, we all have different and varied tastes. It was just sooooo ear-piercingly loud. Is there anything that can be done to soften that? (And this is coming from someone who's spent years listening to rock n'roll at major levels, LOL.)
