Yes i was aware when i brought it, but it was a cheap bargain off a workmate so chance to get into digital photography for a tenner i have a proper dear camera as well but after it being knocked out of my hands at one of these but fortunately not smashing i've been taking the cheapy one instead its fine for near shots with the stars but useless at range i had a word with the staff in Jessops while there and he recomended the latest Ricoh R2 at £229.99 so i'll be looking into that in some photography review magazines next week remote

Tommy T No need to be silly the customer is always right within reason look at any business books its the No 1 thing they generally work to i was just trying to point out that if customers demand at least a few seconds of chat, or a photo, which are not to unreasonable a service which is offered by the majority of the other guests I also met Karen Allen she is a proper film star she was chatty allowed photos and was busy as did Erin Gray, Nick Brendon , Tricia Helfer & Magel Barrett all busy when i saw them there is an obvious lack of consistency across the guests the result of not offering the customers a good service is they either go elsewhere (other conventions we are not allowed to mention) or seek alternative uses of their disposable income on items within the same area such as buying dvds , film posters , other film collectables remote

Is the poor experiences with main stars starting to catch up on the organisers and the business in general ? perhaps they can only get away with it so long negative publicity and general word of mouth about poor "experiences" with meeting Carrie Fisher, James Masters and now William Shatner and other big stars at other similar events gets around it could affect the whole business in the future, the fact the two main organisers hate each other does not help either i personally am now rather wary of big stars i've met, 4 so far and 4 have been poor, not very good odds is it, the William Shatner experience is probably about the worst, i queued nearly 2 hours for a 5 second experience the first 2 i got 2 autographs off at £25 i now only get one autograph of big stars thats already a £50 loss in business to the organisers next time i might not bother at all there is also the possible knock on affect on other aspects of the film industry will we now buy the next box set of Star Trek the original series for example after a poor experience meeting its main star will that affect your decision ? personally at the moment yes it will i was quite keen on going to autographica now i'm not so keen negative critism on here about events should be listened to in any Business the No 1 thing is the customer is always right whether the business owner likes it or not remote

If the shopping centre is private property but lets people wander in without any display of any rules and regulations which would have to be detailed on prominent signs displaying the fact then surely there are no rules in place other than normal expected behaviour in a public place therefore i would not think these "security" people or JCB have any power to tell anyone anything they only get away with it because the average fan does what they are told without questioning it remote

Only just noticed myself but Sci-Fi channel on Sky are showing Firefly this weekend not seen any of them yet myself lots of episodes still to air tommorow though guess they've shown all of them over the weekend so we'll have to wait for re-run to see todays ones but i`ll be setting my video on Long Play for tommorow to see what its all about remote

Similar here £28 for train £35 for gold pass possible hotel expense if stopping + food etc then autographs on top of this £90 is much to dear and if i go i definatly won't bother its a numbers game i suppose the reasoning is less people x £90 = more than more people at £25 but if they get their sums wrong and price to many out of the market they`ll end up with a lower profit overall If Buzz's Agent is reading this bear the above in mind read up on pricing theory and do some expected "what if" income calculations on excel hopefully you`ll realise it makes sense to charge less don't say nobody told you remote

i waited nearly two hours and got same treatment as everyone else didn`t even need my early ticket when i went to see him at 3.30ish he gone through all the tickets and was an open queue don`t bother seeing him treat yourself to one of the films or something with your £25 remote
