  1. You have never watched a Godzilla film. Except (possibly) the not really a Godzilla movie 1998 American Godzilla movie - which you probably think is "pretty good".
  2. He may be flamboyant at times Marty - but he's got a real dark side. In Son he resorts to some pretty serious child abuse cause Minya/Minilla can't do any-f*cking-thing right. To be fair, I'd pay good money to see that happen.
  3. When have you ever seen Godzilla talk about his feelings? Never. Godzilla = Guy
  4. She? Mothra = She (Unless you catch Toho on an off day, then they say Mothra = dude) The rest = dudes (I say the rest.. theres quite a few female Kaiju... but Mothra is the only really famous one)
  5. I love that picture, simply because of how happy Big-G looks.
  6. I think if that quality could be maintained then I would be happy to see Toho move in that direction (although I doubt they ever will) but given that they are relatively low budget affairs I doubt that would ever happen. I agree about Always 2 by the way, no interest in watching the rest of it - but the opening two minutes are just incredible. That said - if Toho has more control over this WB/Legendary Pictures deal... fingers crossed.
  7. Marty - what do you make of the Godzilla cameo in Always 2? The All-CG-Ness of it... I think it looks pretty sexy but would never want to see the Big G done that way for a whole movie. Or would I? I honestly don't know...
  8. Ah yes, "You think I wouldn't kill you? I could and I would."
  9. I did read it, but I think I got into that "looking so hard for it that you don't see it" thing. I'm SURE this guy hasn't been posted:
  10. It will always have a special place in my heart for pairing Six and The Brig. That makes it a totally worthy entry in my opinion. Does anyone know the identity of the 'voice' that said "Silence Will Fall"? If it doesn't start with "O" I'm gonna be dissapointed.
  11. So you could nail your hard drive to a frisbee, set it on fire, throw it away, then shoot it. Surely. Never had it on a hard drive - fan made special edition DVD. But I'm a completist - it exists and so I need it. It's the same reason I own all the Leprechaun movies...
  12. You will be able to do so, come 2012/2013... just make sure you pick up th audios of the missing stories. Essential. Oooh, tell me more?? The entire classic series should be out on DVD come 2012-2013, depending on them keeping up the current release rate. There are quite a number of stories (and individual episodes from stories) that are missing, presumed gone forever. You can see some of the orphan episodes (one or two episodes that survive from stories that are otherwise wiped) on the Lost In Time Set. For episodes that are totally/almost totally wiped you can purchase CD's which have the original audio-track with narration (normally by one of the original cast members) to fill in the blanks. At this point I'm so far behind in watching the official releases that going for unofficial things would be completely pointless. Well, except for Dimensions In Time... had to grab that when I had the chance.

  14. I'm a Troughton man, and I think Smith takes second place for me. Nah, they're not all out on DVD yet. But we can start with An Unearthly Child - it's excellent. Well the first episode is... the rest are just okay. Pffft, she wants to start with Davisons first story - but it's the final part of a trilogy. You need to watch the other ones before it... and if you're going to do that you might as well watch/listen to the 553 episodes before that....
  15. It went off as soon as I found Mothra Vs. Godzilla. I quite like the look - if Mondasians show up looking exactly the same (minus the Chest Logo) I'll be happy. But they don't act like Cybermen - most of the surviving Cybermen stories show them as Cyborgs who claim to be emotionless but are actually quite arrogant and they are thinking beings that actually believe they are superior and are full of malice. The point is they do have emotions (listen to the glee when one finds the TARDIS in Five Doctors) They also willingly altered themselves into being Cybermen, it was an idea they chased - I found that quite creepy. The new Cybermen were technology reliant humans who were forced into the 'upgrade' and stomp around shouting "Delete" and "You are not compatible". Their beliefs and feelings of superiority are replaced by 'programming' and (with the exception of Cyber-Lumic) are actually emotionless. I'm not saying the Cybusmen don't have their place in Doctor Who - they did a good job of reintroducing the concept, but I'm sure they only reason they exist was to introduce the 'Alt Earth" that would become so important in the future. They also now come with similar baggage that the Daleks had under RTD's reign - every time they return they feel the need to 'wipe them out' or 'make it impossible for them to return'.... and so when they do return they need to explain it. Moffat has already stated that the reason the Daleks "win" at the end of Victory is so they didn't have to go down that road again. I would just like to see the Mondas-Boys come back. They are a bit different, and I would like to see them in modern Who - and Moffat has already said he would like to bring them back. Like you say, it is the same concept. But the execution is quite different. Its kinda like the Daleks - in the early years of the revived series we saw "humans cultivated" to make "pure and blessed Dalek". The show itself would point out a few years later that these weren't REAL Daleks, just something very Dalek-y. Wow. This post is far too long...
  16. It's hardly fair to include the Cybermen in the "as usual" statement. To my knowledge The Cybermen have yet to appear in the revived series. Cybermen are a cyborg race from the planet Mondas who later conquered the planet Telos. I can't think of anything in the last five years that fits that description. Apparently they were due to reappear soon - but they spent so much money making the Daleks look stupid that they couldn't afford to build new Cyber suits. EDIT: Sorry, we did see a head in Dalek.
  17. Is it what it fairly obviously seems to be, and what that spoiler art showed? Or is it something unexpected and surprising?
  18. No. Not that. Just stumbled across a web site covered in pictures from The Pandorica Opens. Don't want.
  19. Great guest and cheap too. Wait... Cigs and Beer don't cost much, do they?
  20. It has zero to do with me, but it's very exciting!
