What happened?!!!

I emailed Amber Benson about how wonderful she was an event and how she cheered me up as my dad was diagnosed with cancer, and her mum replied on her behalf with kind words and best wishes from all her family. Met Amber again at another event and told her about the email, thanking her and her family and she gave me a huge hug, then sent me over to talk to her mum...where I got another hug! they both chatted to me after that, what wonderful people!

I'm going with two of my friends!

I don't mind you asking at all - though my friend will probably smack me for telling!, the quick answer though ( that still manages a whole paragragh ! lol ) is that they were really nice guys who spoke to us after the party and invited us to their hotel - where we chatted to them for a while about music and the differences between the English and Americans ( with a brief trip into the Canadians ) before we realised they were knackered from their long day and were being just too damn polite to say anything - we said good bye and thanked them and we went back to our hotel. ( some editing done here so my friend will still BE my friend but I will add it was Eric who liked my friend ...aww bless ) I definitely think you should try with the leather sewing cos I think an Illyria costume would be totally awesome!

I think one of them took a shine to my friend though....ha ha...if she reads this she should well blush cos she knows what I mean... So what you dressing up as? or is it a surprise?

I'm going in costume - trying to get my two friends to do it was well. ( though one is more willing than the other) Any suggestions for what my friends could wear I would appreciate...I'm going as Rain in Resident Evil

I'm only wearing my costume to the party - cos I would be a little scared to wear it all day...party can hide in the corner...lol

I'm just doing it for the fun of it I guess, sweatiness included! Though I suppose it would be better not to encourage me to the dance floor when they get the rock on!! phew!! My friend is still deciding what she's going to wear...though there was talk of an inflatable sumo costume lol!, So i'm not going to be the one with the worst smell

that was an awesome costume! I remember saying congrats to you after the fancy dress judging, I was dressed as Tru Davies, in my crispy white lab coat!

Well in honesty I'm only dressing up for the party cos I'm bold but not brave enough to do it for the whole thing! If I see you about during the days I'll definitely say hi!

Well I wasn't sure to either but I figure what the hell and by the looks of it there will be a good few others

fave three are Amber Benson on a limited Gold Foil cover of the first comic she wrote. David Boreanaz on my Angelus first series Buffy action figures ( when he was affordable...though a very very nice and humble guy). Eliza Dushku on a photo of us both, she rocked! a lover of the great Metallica!

costumes sound wicked! I can't wait! *bounces around with excitment* I think there is a thread with photos on it already, I'm going to see....

I will do - I should be easy to find...well I should stand out like a sore thumb as I'll look like a member of a SWAT team lol! Oh, and there is a good chance I'll be propped up at the bar, not that I have an alcohol problem you understand

I stayed in the Holiday Inn Express a little further out and found it really nice - quite easy to tell there were a few crew staying there, The atmosphere was very cool, relaxed and fun like. I didn't have any problems, even when me and my friend strolled in at 3am after the party last year. I've booked there again this time and we have three adults sharing ( there's an extra cost but I wrote it all on the email when I booked and haven't heard anything nasty in return. I did actually phone the hotel directly and they told me to write it on there.) fingers crossed then that there's no hassle

I think it's cool to meet so many cool people, costumes are a real conversation starter. It got the guys from Common Rotation talking to us, really nice accommodating guys!
