Hi Surfy Sah, know what you mean by expensive not quite had to take another mortgage out but close to go LOL, will try and take lots of pics though for anyone who can't go, I'm only going by the skin of my teeth - means I can only do one more con this year now but I wanted to check them out see how they do it, if they're dren then will know not to bother at those prices again. I usually am outside the one with the ciggie in hand LOL Think I recognise where some of those shots came from - seen the sets before LOL nice camera work and phwoar!!!! LOL I've come out in hot sweats now LOL Glad to hear the foot is healing well and gets even better for the pressures of queuing - my legs always kill me after a convention. But I'm the one who's standing in front of the SGC sign and with most of the guests... you may recognise me as most of the people that know me at cons think I'm a total nutter LOL... Love the Tshirt story - I believe that must be a total honour for him to have endorsed your TShirt so personally - he is a total cutie is Alexis...I could squish his cheeks LOL How's the foot/leg now babe? Lots better I hope - I was in a chair for a couple of months and then on crutches for 8months (an operation on my foot that did'nt heal too well) so I fully symapthise because it's not just the bad foot that kills the other one gets cramp and your shoulders from lugging yourself about - hope your much better now.... As for Erick if I was'nt married LOL well will leave that there LOL There was a huge fuss over the other two guys there tho LOL and lots of comparisons of buttocks going on - where else can you get away with such debauchery except at con parties eh? Hey Tiggerific, have met Jay twice now and he's a really cool guy, very funny, and (for Queen Sindel) met Alexis this Feb... Total sweetie... at the con party he picked me up spun me round and then put me back down saying "damn you're married" LOL but he's a darling - both Erick and him are like a double act and both total gentlemen.. Wow I did something technical and it worked first time - glad you got to see the pics and thankyou Surfysah for the tip on photobucket - it was so simple to use.... I'll add a little extra twist to this thread - not only do you have to name a actor and character and why you like them but try and guess which actor out of those photos I had the most fun with For Muffin - I think it was a con in Blackpool around 2002 but naming no names - is that ok to put??? Have met several more celebs since some of those photo were taken, but my camera is'nt too clever so have relied on the con photos you can have taken you know the ones I mean... Would have some of those in my album too but our scanner's broken at the moment plus I'll have to be careful scanning some of them to block off other con names so as not to offend.. but I'm working on it LOL I'm lucky too because I have friends at the cons who do take better pics with their cameras and send me copies. That's why I love cons so much because it's not just the guests you go to see it's your con family. Anyway folks keep the names coming - be interesting to hear more actors you've admired and why.... How'd you get pictures in the posts? They are cool - had a look on the reply page and not sure where to go from there to post pics up? Also are there any rules that go with putting pics up - format, size and is there a restriction of content (obviously no advertising of course)? Not gonna be able to stretch to C7 this time babe (I use babe instead of dude babe lol )but I am going to the Creation con - only just tho the robbing swines - the tickets and accomodation and travelling downhave been a killer to scrape the dosh for - shudda gone for C7 instead lol...or the other one going on that weekend.. er children of the gods I think it is.. never mind... Ok we all know that Jack, Daniel, Teal'C and Sam rule, but lets have a good discussion on those who have appeared for only a few eps or for just a series..... Be interesting to find out which characters caught your eye, and I mean for their acting abilities too not just for their looks, however I mst admit there have been some damn fine looking supporting actors over the last 8 years or so.... So the thread is... state name of character and actor, and why they appeal to you (what made them stand out to you)and maybe a bit about their character. Jack of course - but also Erick (Kasuf) and Alexis (Skarra) - felt that they under - utilized these two really, considering they helped tie the TV show to the film, any way you think of bringing them back now that Abydos has been blown up??? They did ascend with the help of Oma did'nt they and Daniel came back in human from so possibly???? they've brought back Peter and Jay (and others)so why not eh??? I AM SO SORRY and damn my eyesight just realised I posted on another 'locked topic' thread soz - the tv and film guest suggestions for LFCC thread - will go get my eyes checked promise before I post again.....(apart from this one of course ) But one film not covered much has been Daredevil... and I know it was a bit of a flop but anyone from Elektra, there are guests who you could tie together for both theses films based on comics, Ben Affleck, that baddie who is in a lot of action, martial arts films and plays really good 'baddies' and of course Jennifer Garner who has incidently also worked with Erick Avari on Daredevil and in the show Alias??? Oh God yes elf queen I completely forgot about anyone who was on Farscape - we need to get more of those actors out and about for the fans - my hubby is a mad Farscape fan, so that would be ideal now Ben Browder and Claudia Black are appearing in Stargate, be a good way to tie in a good bunch of actors from both shows. Ya never know it may help to make the SCIFI channel wake up and pick the show up again ( one can only dream)... They certainly are getting quite short and sweet (SCIFI channel) with their decisions to cut shows after only one or two series, leaving a lot of unanswered storyline these days - and frustrated scifi fans to boot. They cut Farscape (they must've been insane on that score - and no a mini series is not going to suffice or placate really) also True Calling, Veritas: The Quest, Prey, Jake 2.0, and several others that they let us get hooked on then tossed em out for god knows whatever reason. I'm sure there are others I've forgotton but I'm sure you lot out there will add to the list of shows that have been uneccessarily cut. We (the fans) give new and different series a chance at least therefore so should they!!!! If you think this would be a good separate thread let me know and I'll start it - but I will add if this has been discussed and is old (as I am pretty new to this forum - and could'nt have possibly read all the posts in these forums) I apologise (again) for reopening old wounds/topics and/or stepping on anyone's toes... Is there any chance of Stargate (The movie) people or SG1/Atlantis cast and crew apart from Judge and Shanks, they are good actors and put on a great performance for conventions but what about the others? Such as Erick Avari, Alexis Cruz (great combination I might add), Garwin Sanford, Douggie Arthurs, Jay Acovone, JR Bourne, Gary Jones (very funny man), Peter Williams, Frida Bertrani, Anna-Louise Ploughman,Neil Denis, Tony Amendola, Ronny Cox, Tom McBeath, Dan Shea, Peter and David DeLouise, Carmen Argenziano, Sarah Douglas,David Palffy, Alex Zahara, Suanne Braun, Vince Crestejo, Jaqueline Samuda to name a few but you get the idea otherwise I could go on all day....some of the more obscure actors who are on the shows and the Atlantis cast. - I do understand that the Atlantis cast are out and about at cons and will poss have certain restrictions on how many they can do in a year ie how many days/months either side of other cons they have to leave between each one - something called an exclusivity clause or something as will some of the above actors already mentionned above but alittle more diversity never hurt anyone. There are also the shows Alias, True Calling, 24, Charmed??? that don't get as much of a mention. I apologise to anyone who thinks this is a little full on but I'm just making a point and did not intend to annoy or undermine any of the cons and guests you've had so far - you have been doing a fantastic job don't let anyone tell you otherwise but as a suggestion I do agree with some of the other comments made by people on these forums that seeing certain actors again and again is getting a bit tried and 'old' on the circuit. To contradict this though I do fully appreciate certain actors reputations of being highly entertaining and we are always happy to come and see such as Teryl, Shanks and Judge and their pulling power to cons... Anyway will be interested to hear people's reactions but I do want to make that point again that I am not 'having a go' just making a suggestion.
