add us to the list of people who booked in May having there reservations TOTALLY cocked up....

Thought I must be one of the lucky ones ...booked in May and NOT bumped to the Ibis ..... How wrong can you be .... yes I am at the Park Inn ...BUT not for the nights I booked !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I booked Friday and Saturday ...... they sent me a confirmation in May for those nights .... I called today to double check that we had not been bumped to the IBIS .....only to be told that I was booked in for Saturday and Sunday ......and of course there are NO rooms available for Friday night so not only gutted by Guest cancellations ...but am now staying in 2 different Hotels ...... sheer incompetence!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

just a quick question.... are the stargate/atlantis guests actually having a talk or are they just there to sign all day?

Whatever CJ's personal problems are tbh i dont really think its our place to know anyway. his personal life is his alone, and i totally respect that. i dont think this is going to go away for a very long time, maybe not until both events have ended. who knows. i hope nothing that i am saying is being taken in an agressive tone, i am simply putting my oppinion across and i hope all the name-calling/fighting etc has all ended and now we can all simply talk

i think when it comes down to it this is what people (inc myself) are fustrated at CJ for: Due to personal reasons he is unable to do Wolf Sg8 on Friday 5th Nov - Sunday 7th Nov, however his personal reasons allow him to attend LFCC2 on Saturday 6th Nov - Sunday 8th Nov. before, there have been guests at wolf conventions who have not appeared for all 3 days (eg, Tom MacBeath at sg4 who wasnt present on the friday) CJ could easily have taken this option. however he chose not to. i personally believe that EVERY party involved in this mess is holding something back... however insignificant they may feel it to be.

First off, we are still here. and thankyou to L3 for your information.... HOWEVER.... this 'poaching' for guests originally applied to another event/organiser and that the question raised over Torri Higginson was simply another issue adding fuel to the fire. when many reffered to this 'poaching' the main bone of contention was, and still is, christopher judge. We will wait and see the outcome.

Having watched the arguments develop over this particular incident I had promised myself not to get involved ..but ...having read what imho is a rather condescending post directed at 2 people in particular .......requiring apologies to yourselves at a later date!!!!!.......I would be grateful if you would please read the following.......... You cannot deny that approaches have been made to other guests who have already agreed in theory and have been advertised to appear at another Con, the dates of which you were fully aware Irrespective of any formal contacts that may or may not have been made....... may I ask .........do you consider this professional or ethically correct conduct on your part? It is the fans that keep ALL Con organisers in business and they are entitled to voice their opinion having a "go" at two in particular who may have hit a raw nerve does little for your credibility as a professional organisation
