Does anyone know anything about Collectormania 18? It does not have a 'future events' thread, so I was wondering if it is still going to take place or whether it has been cancelled?

I went in today and was surprised to see that the event was still outside in the cold. The wind was as usual cutting through our clothes and chilling us and the guests to the bone. Can anyone confirm whether this event will ever be moving inside? If not, why not move it to later in the year when there is a fighting chance of the stadium not feeling like a wind tunnel.

I went to the show today and was surprised to find all the guests outside in the cold again. Did I get it wrong, but I thought that last year was going to be the last time that we all had to freeze? It was perishingly cold today, and the wind was whipping through the stadium dropping the perceived temperature even further. To cap it all there were no real A star guests, and the few people that hadn't been before had already cancelled. I have been attending since C3, and this was the first one that I have left feeling disappointed. The heady days when I used to come away with loads of autographs seem to have gone, and this time I left with only two new ones. Next year I may just abandon it entirely and go to the LFCC instead... Such a shame.

Anyone out there watching Threshold? Maybe we could even get Carla Gugino Any views?

We need more stargate guests - Amanda would be great (as would any of the other Stargate guests who have cancelled over the last few Collectormanias). How about it Showmasters?

I just noticed that William Shatner does do conventions - and not just in the US I don't know why, but I did not think he would Showmasters - this is an opportunity for you to gat one over on your local (London) rivals and beat them at their own game. Who needs pointy ears when you can get Captain Kirk. You know you could do it if you tried. Give it a go

I watched this series recently (having bought it cheap on DVD) and was very impressed. It is a shame it was cancelled. Would anyone out there like to see any of the cast at C8, or didn't anyone else like it?

To be honest that had not occured to me but given the fact that most stars seem to end up with famous children ie Debbie Reynolds/Carrie Fisher, Kirk Douglas/Michael Douglas, maybe you are right and I should get in there early just in case. It might be worth a fortune in 20 years time! To be honest though, it was Amanda's auto I would ideally like, but any of the SG1 team would be great.

I know Showmasters have not had much luck recently with SG1 (Amamda Tapping, Chris Judge and Michael Shanks having all cancelled recently), but I really think they should keep trying. Maybe Amanda could bring her baby with her (or something). I would be worth a try. Here is hoping

I was just wondering if Tricia Helfer was still on for C8? Can anyone confirm? Katee and Jamie were both so friendly and chatty I was most impressed. I went out and bought the DVDs right away. Great series. I now hope the rest of the cast will show up at C8/9.
