Unfortunately not I was too busy on the Sunday when I got round to it they'd closed haha. My friend got one though and I saw all the pics on the tables after printing. So cool!

I guess I am, I know it goes down as fantasy and horror too but since she has superhuman qualities, I put her in that branch compared of GoT which is more fantasy in the LotR sense lol That's cool just thought I'd ask :-) are you a game of thrones fan then? Yep, and Peter's character is my favourite. So rather excited haha I have yet to see it, I want to and have met most of the GOT guests that have gone before with a friend, ill get round to watching it one day :-) glad your excited though. Aw I'm jealous you've met the cast that have been already! Last year I was seeing so many guests I couldn't see the GoT case cos of money :) Thanks! Trust me when you watch it you'll love it :)

Everyone knows who Katie Price is. Imagine her announced. Sorry but the criteria more than fits. You'd think Sarah Michelle Gellar was a big guest and arguably she's only famous for Buffy and some generally sub par movies. To get a guest like this at the height of his popularity (so far) is excellent for an organiser. For a start Katie price is neither a TV, film, sports or comic related guest so what's the point in using that as an example also SMG is Buffy, Buffy is one the biggest cult shows ever spanning a film, 7 seasons, a spin off a comic, books etc game of thrones might be good but its like 20 episodes, 20 episodes is nothing compared to Buffy and the amount of fans that come with that show not to mention SMG has had a number of films another great TV show, voice work just say her name and people know. Again not the best comparison. better to have 20 episodes of quality than 144 episodes mediocre episodes.....just saying I wouldn't know I haven't seen it yet, but thats your opinion which everyone is entitled to, but im pretty sure Buffy will out last game of thrones I can't see it having a cult following years after it finishes a bit like firefly it will live on. You can't really compare them though can you? Buffy was 90s/00s and GoT is current. The author is still writing, the show has only just begun. Maybe in 10 years time when GoT is complete (sad times) we could look back and compare. But no. Also completely different genres of interest. Fantasy vs. Superhero. Love them both personally!

Eek just bought entrance tickets and photo with Peter £50 well spent so glad I booked a hotel ahead of time just in case!

Well worth the wait for me! Have some manners guys, I've participated in loads of waits for big guests and not been interested in meeting them once they've arrived. But I had the courtesy of not complaining because they weren't of my interest. Be polite, geez.

Well this just sealed it! It's the weekend over my exams period haha but Desmond was a favourite. That blue shirt cannot wait to meet Ian!!

As I mentioned in my previous reply, there is a cost to the talks, in that the guest is not bringing in revenue unless the talks are paid. Christopher Lloyd may have been free last year, but he had to stay until 7 signing autos to meet as many people as possible (to his credit), which means a fair number of people who wanted to meet him didn't get the opportunity. Not sure how him doing a talk uncharged made any difference to the amount of people who were able to get his autograph... I'm not entirely begrudging them charging, but to charge the same price that's charged for autos and photos (where there's less of a chance the paying customer is left disappointed) is a bit too much imo. As someone said earlier, £8 or as I said £5 (depending on guests) sounds a fairer deal. As loads of people attend talks, that's still a lot of money being brought in, and due to it being a lower price would probably get people like me who have spent so much already, swayed into paying a bit more for their favourite guests :)

I've used those plastic folders, since my first convention in '06. Unfortunately travelling home my Matthew Lewis autograph was attacked by condensation! I couldn't take it out of the folder as it was literally stuck to the folder... I put it in the airing cupboard at home for at least a week to dry it out. I think now I could remove it, because the writing has of course dried again, and no longer stuck, however the auto has been damaged and some of the writing transferred onto the plastic. However I think this was due to how I got it home, and overall I've not had issues with the plastic folders and my other autos since :) At my second convetion in '07 I purchased this box to put my pictures and autographs in. It's where they're all stored because I am still unsure what to do with them (photo album or portfolio etc.). They're very protected and it's good to transport around :) P.S. sorry if the pic's too big, not got any editing software on my computer currently D:

But as they have so many fans wanting to meet them, it only makes sense that their encounters would be faster than other guests with less fan!traffic. I believe there would be so many more disappointed people that weren't able to get an autograph vs. people upset that they weren't able to spend much time with the guest while getting their autograph. Last year I met Christopher Lloyd, who's queues were packed all weekend long - so much so he was still signing after the event had officially finished (so awesome of him). And although I only got to say hello and thank you, I was very happy as I understood he wanted to see as many people as possible :)

Second time meeting at the weekend, and was still my favourite guest to meet :) I had a pic of Uther that wasn't on his table, and he said he really liked it, and put on a camp voice saying the robes were very fetching. I can't stop grinning at my pic with him too haha. I'm rather smitten :3 I will always go for a pic and get his auto, no matter how many times I see him!

I personally was disappointed that almost all the talks were charged for. Last year I really enjoyed the Back to the Future and Harry Potter talks, which were for free (no charge to see the legend Christopher Lloyd talk!). I couldn't afford to go to any talks this year since I was already spending so much on autos and photoshoots! I guess I was lucky because from what's being said here it wouldn't have been worth the money I think if there's no structure to the talks (like questions already selected so there'll be no repeats/embarrassments) and poor sound quality that charging is a bit out of order. At least lower the prices to like £5 or something - charging the same for a photo/auto is far too expensive in my books!

SO glad to see this, my friend told me about it when she went to pick up some photos, it's as awesome as she described!! Whoever it is, kudos I remember you! You were worried that your fringe had split after all that (Sunday afternoon). I empathised, as I have a bit of hair that always slides down over my forehead, misbehaving! That's what Photoshop's for though Haha oh my, I did complain about my fringe a lot, I'm not surprised other people heard me yeah it kinks and parts a lot, raaaather annoying!

Oooh the anticipation! Why is it only Wednesday (well Thursday I guess)!?!

Photographs are always my priority. I love being able to see my memory of meeting the person. I also get their autograph but I'd always choose a picture over the autograph if I had to :)
