  1. And for you McFly fans - here's one I made earlier.... Tuesday to be exact McFLY
  2. Daniel left straight after the photoshoot because he'd been filming all day. The Press night also counts towards 'work' and as Under 18s they are only allowed to work a specified number of hours a day. Most of the others had not been shooting that day, or if they had, just briefly. Daniel though was a) not allowed to go to the party because it counted as 'work' and not allowed because he had a studio call at 6-30am today Thats why he had to leave early - no real choice in the matter. I'm sure if he'd had a choice he'd have been hanging out with the rest of the gang who were all still there gone 10.15pm when we left
  3. Sarah You did such a good job of the photo with Mary and Daniel - your sis should be proud. I know Jill was looking forward to meeting Dan, but he had to shoot off back home straight after and did not go to the party. Jill took some photos at the party, but they are not great, although she got a decent one of Matt and his big brother in front of one of the paintings of the Duke of somewhere or other in the VIP Room. I spent much of the time chatting with Emma's Mum and her partner, but whe we left around 10.15pm everyone was still around. The only one we'd not seen was Rupert (spoke to his Dad Nigel earlier in the evening) - he was in the queue for 'goodie bags' which had just run out, but he managed to talk his way into a free DVD. "What do you want that for Rupe?" I said to him "surely you've seen the movie by now - you ARE in it you know!"
  4. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah now I know who you are oh yes, I always seem to be taking pics of you! (put not always running to the loo......ah poetry) My pics have gone out across to the USA and although it was a horrid wet night, looking around at whats available on the top UK Agency sites, mine dont look half bad! Here's a nice one of Daniel holding the new DVD in front of the Knight Bus DANIEL
  5. Gandalfia - Despite the fact that he was in the group photo (you just shoot the scene and only afterwards analyse who is actually in the pic), I did not know he was there until I almost literally bumped into him in the hall. He had his young daughter in his arms and she had a handful of candy wands (they were long thin sweets covered in chocolate and had 'hundreds and thousands' on the top to make them look like magic wands) which nearly took my eye out! Jill, my wife, was just in front of me, turned around realised it was David and said something like "I think you were really good in the movie" (as you do...) and headed off thru the crowd to catch up with Delly (Devon Murray's Mum) who was taking us into the VIP room. Meanwhile, as she headed off I was exchanging pleasantries with Mr Thewlis, Well , David actually, I dont call anyone "Mr". Cant remember what was said something like how did your daughter find the movie. Did she realise it was Daddy on the screen and stuff. But he seemed like a nice, friendly approachable guy, just enjoying being there. He said that it was tremendous how they'd made the Hall and the rooms so much fun, just a pity it was such a wet night outside. "But at least I was only out there at the end", which made me realise he must have been in the group pic.
  6. I AM A Professional Photographer.... So yes, I was inside the Middle Temple - in the rain - with around 30 other snappers from Agencies and Media around the world. We were all set up out in the open, BUT the TV and radio crews were all set up under cover along with a huge staging for other guests to watch the Knight Bus arrive and the photo shoot develop. Then once it was over, some of the cast came over to be interviwed by TV/Radio, whilst us snappers hurredly tried to get our expensive equipment packed up back into the dry of our bags and head inside to the Media Room before being escorted to the Party. Oliver and James were laughing mainly because when you have a group of what 20 people together it only needs someone to crack a joke, make a comment or fart to set some of them off. After shooting Daniel/Emma/Rupert, then Lee Ingleby (Stan Shumpike) with them, then Alfonso Cuaron and David Heyman joined the group. Finally the rest of the cast came out en masse into the rain for a group 'family' shot. I dont think anything specific set the twins off, but I guess when you have 30 plus photographers all shouting hoping to attact attention, your mates all around you too - AND THE RAIN - it does not take much.
  7. CAST POSE IN FRONT OF KNIGHT BUS
  8. Tom and Chris were there... so were Devon and Matthew, Jamie W, Bonnie Wright, The Phelps twins... Alfonso Cuaron, David Heyman, David Thewlis, Warwick Davis, Josh Herdman and Linford Christie, Myleene Klass, Bill Wyman but yes it was VERY WET outside, but inside they'd done up all the rooms like classromms at Hogwarts. They made the main hall look like the Great Hall with banners in the vaulted ceilings. They had a Honeydukes sweetshop, a Buckbeak, various people in costumes. Most of the cast stayed for the Party - Sarah was VERY LUCKY to see Daniel...VERY LUCKY. He'd been on set all day, so had to leave straight after the photo shoot and interviews as it is classed as a 'working day' for the kids and he is only allowed to 'work' for so long, PLUS he is due on set at 7AM the next day. The rest of the cast arrived via a different entrance and most stayed - or were still there - when I left at around 10pm. Daniel was the only absentee and just to show how lucky Sarah was, if he'd been at the party, you'd have probably not seen anything at all as no one would have left. But well done of getting what you got Sarah. By the way, Matt was behaving himself - he had both his brothers with him too as well as Mum and Dad this time
  9. Hi Guys I would not concern yourselves yet about the GOF Premiere - its a YEAR Away! No decisions will have been taken yet as to whether they will have a Premiere in NY or in LA, As well as one in London. POA had only the 2 Premieres because they had begun shooting GOF and time did not alow the cast to spend too much time around the world promoting a movie that hardly needed much promoting anyway did it? Today's DVD Launch by the way, at Middle Temple Hall, London is happening inside the Hall and in 3 outside locations in the grounds where sets from the POA are erected and at each point a series of 'reveals' will take place. 'Red Carpet' pictures will be done inside the grounds and as far as I'm aware there is NO Public access. You might be able to stand outside and see limos arrive, but probably the cast will be going straight into the Hall entrance. After the 'reveals' and the photocalls, there is a Party for Cast and guests laid on - 'on site' - I assume in the Hall itself as its an ancient building been used by Shakespeare and Queen Elizabeth 1, in years gone by, so it should be pretty spectacular. Maybe I'll get a chance to tell you what it was like as I'm going down there in around 2 hours time.
  10. Davey you could try her Agent here PFD Drury House 34-43 Russell Street London WC2B 5HA Maybe volunteer for her 'next project' here ...."Kate Winslet wants to pose nude for charity" http://www.femalefirst.co.uk/celebrity/11022004.htm KEITH
  11. Yes Davey, of course I remember you mate. Jill did not say who she was annoying....err...chatting to (she never does), but you can pretty much guarantee there's always someone from either C4/5/6/7 or LFACC !!! Just like me sometimes. There I am walking over to the Press pen to put down my heavy bag and/or my stepladder and I get someone from the crowd call me over - then 10 yards on and there's someone else etc. Should I be signing autographs yet though ???? Of course Davey, yes I do have a 'primary spot', after all it is my living and having been professional for 18 years, you get to learn the ropes quite quickly. But remember, whereas for me it's an extension to my usual photography (one day I'm taking pics of Tom Cruise, Johnny Depp etc - next day doing a shoot for the Council of dustbins for their recycling leaflet....ah,the variety of my job), many of the snappers in the Press area are papparazzi, who chase the celebs everywhere and try to outshoot each other. Elbows are neccessary tools in their trade and at time it can be easier to shoot from the spectator area - like you - than the Press area. The only sweat is that you never can be sure whether the stars will come close to you. If they pitch up and sign right in front of you, make the most of it, you can get some nice pics. But if you don't, it doesnt matter does it, you've still got the memory of being close to. I must confess to you that - at this very moment - Jill is on the phone to her sister down in Hampshire, telling her all about her week. Meeting Ewan McGregor at a Book signing in London a week ago and shaking his hand whilst getting his book signed. Then it was chatting to Tommy Walsh of TVs Ground Force last week too, at another book signing. Topped off by her getting Johnny Depp's autograph on Sunday . She loves making her sister jealous..... But then thats what its all about, I'm sure you have friends that go "Wow, really" when you tell them you sat with Lt Data etc As for me - pics at a local school tomorrow lunchtime, before heading down to London for the Opening Gala of the London Film Festival. Then on Thursday, London lunchtime signings with Victoria Silvstedt (signing her 2005 calendar) and Pamela Anderson. So, by the law of averages it must be Dustbins again on Friday...??? KEITH
  12. Guys My pics from Sunday's FINDING NEVERLAND Premiere are here http://keithmayhew.photos.gb.com/c317170.html I know that my wife, Jill, was in the crowd somewhere and seemed to be surrounded by 'Collectormania' people so if its any of you, she says "Hi!". Also I saw some of you near the entrance to the cinema, from my vantage point in the Press pen - sorry can't remember your names, but anyway, the important thing was it STOPPED RAINING by the time the stars began arriving !
  13. FAO LINKA I've sent you a pic to you yahoo email KEITH
  14. First of all let me say, in the nicest possible way, that you are all spoilt rotten by what Showmasters provide at their events. The fact that most of you have managed to have your photo taken with various celebs/stars is - to some of you - more valuable than the autograph you bought. At some events, you might be allowed to snatch a quick shot while queuing, but a photo with the actor...no way. These days also, I think that different people have different standards. People like DavidB are quite competent at taking pics with a very competent digital camera. He is happy with the results, so there is no need for any professional photo shoot in David's eyes. Fair enough. Also some people have commented that they are happy with their snaps taken with those crappy disposable cameras - fair enough then. The logistics of setting up a proper photo shoot with a number of guests would not be too difficult at somewhere like Wembley, but could be awkward at MK. As someone did comment, you could have say a 30 minute photo session which would give plenty of people the opportunity to have a photo taken. With the photographer shooting Digital and taking several shots of each group, the "but he blinked" scenario should not be any kind of problem. However, I know that a friend of mine went to another organisers' event recently and was extremely disappointed with what she received. Supposedly a 'professional' photographer, with a 'professional' camera and the photo printed on 'professional' equipment. Well she asked questions as to why ALL the photos had both her and the guest with RED EYE. And the 'photos' were only inkjet prints and the framing of the poses were amateurish! Did I say that she was disappointed, unhappy, in tears and complained. Did I say she got fobbed off with some crappy excuse. What I would say is that if the photographer was in any way 'professional' - a basic shoot of a guest and a 'punter' would NEVER have redeye and even if it did, it should be corrected before the print was done and sold. Sadly, different people have different standards and the meaning of the word 'professional' should be just exactly what it says on the box. If I turned in amateurish 'snaps' to photo editors, PR Companies, Sponsors etc at events I cover, then I would not be booked again. But sadly, for some events, the word 'professional' in fact means "a bloke who has his own camera, who can do the job cheap, so we can squeeze a few more pounds out of the punters". Frankly, honestly, I can't see how - at Collectormania - it could work, nor that there would be a real demand. At London, maybe in a limited way it could be done - but again it would need to be done properly and all those satisfied customers would be back for more next time.
  15. Hi - Well I'm back home. I know some of you went. I'm sure I heard some of you shot out my name, but I ignored it (I thougt it was the wind!). Then I realised I recognised some of you, so here is a pic of you with Daniel either signing a poster or down on bended knee proposing ??
  16. Hi Everyone First I'd say if you've not left for the Premiere yet.....YOU SHOULD HAVE DONE. I'm writing this from an Internet cafe in London while I sit and while away the time till the London POA Premiere. I was up at 3 AM to get my pass for the Press photo pen outside the cinema for todays Premiere. Its now 11.30 am the crowds have swollen outside the cinema to 3 and 4 deep outside the cinema. I must say I was surprised that first arrivals of fans occured only around 5am - no one camped out overnight. But by 6-30 there was around 50 waiting. I have to report back with the other photographers at around 2.30pm to be positioned according to the numbers that we are on the list. We are being told that guests will begin to arrive around 3-30 pm with the movie due to be screened at 5pm (although the cast and crew screening was on Saturday morning, so the main stars do not have to worry about missing the start!) Plenty of people dressed up in a variety of HP uniforms and costume. I've heard American accents and a variety of European accents from the crowd, so its pretty multi-cultural out there. If any of you are reading this after getting back - I hope you enjoyed yourselves and got to se some of the stars. As far as I'm aware, they will ALL be there! Good luck Thanks
  17. And an interview with Matt and Devon from live ouside of MaDonalds (just after the CBBC interview took place) is on Mugglenet www.mugglenet.com "As previously reported, Matthew Lewis and Devon Murray attended Collectormania 5 to spend time with Daniel Logan (Bobafett from Star Wars: Episode II), who was signing autographs during the event. Along with Helen from the movies department, and Matt the forums admin, I spent some time with Matthew and Devon and interviewed them out in the sun. In the interview, we find out about funny events that have taken place on the PoA set, what it's like working with the likes of Gary Oldman and the other new cast members, and how the actors feel the fifth book will influence their portrayal of their characters in the coming movies." Click on link on the mugglenet site to d/l the video interview
  18. Matt won't be as he only popped in for the afternoon because he knew Devon was going and he wanted to say 'hi' to some of the people he knew like Ray Park, Sala, Daniel Logan etc. He did manage to get his suit for the POA Premiere at the end of the month too. Devon was meant to be going back tonight, but managed to get a 'stay of execution' to hang out at the guest hotel tonight with his pal Daniel Logan. He's being picked up in the morning to go to the train station to go back home. Both Matt and Devon begin filming on set for the new HP Movie on Tuesday morning
  19. Thanks for posting MY Photos........ I dont mind you doing that really - I did send a few across to Jamie at Mugglenet so he could post some on that site, so no harm done posting them here see that 'copyright' notice......beware And as far as Tom's spots go - I could easily remove them by cloning them out in 'photoshop'
  20. Wow that card is really cool!, have you received it yet? I have yes. I'm not sure what to do with it now tho. I might frame it or get a special mount with pics of everyone aswell. Amanda Hi Spikesbird Sorry to tell you that the card you bought on ebay is 99% FAKE I really am very sorry to tell you this, but I often get emailed by HP fans who are about to bid on HP 'signed' items on ebay just to ask my opinion as to whether something looks 'right'. Well, for a start its not Rupert's sig, definately not Alan Rickman's - VERY UNLIKELY to be dear departed Richard Harris', which rather indicates the whole thing is a FAKE. And the whole thing ---- for £25 ??? No way If Dan's sig was real it would go on ebay for more than that and the seller would know that - if they were ALL real you'd have to pay around 10 times what you paid - again the seller would know that too. And as Richard Harris is dead (18 months ago) value of a GENUINE Signature would be significantly higher than if he were still with us - and the seller knows that, of course Always, Always beware of ebay seller's who have 'private' feedback - they go 'private' to hide something most of the time Another guide to authenticity is to see how many other of those 'one off' items the seller has. This seller seems to have several multiple signed movie scripts which he is seling for a fraction of what a genuine item would be worth - and as soon as he's sold one, he'll be listing another one..... Like I said, sorry.
  21. Just thought I'd try and put things into perpective. Some people have expressed disappointment that the stars announced for C5 are not 'up to standard' - I guess after Elijah, Sean and Dom at C4, maybe not BUT Hold on Compare the line up so far with other similar shows. I'm sure BIG Shows are much better......If you think so, maybe time for a reality check. Take a look at their guest list. Do you see an Elijah? A Sean ? Dom? Nope, not even close. Do they have Viggo, Orlando ??? No and I'm sure C5 will not have either, but just take a step back and realise that for Star Trek fans C5 has at least 3 MAJOR cast members and several lesser ones. Add to that MAJOR Star Trek characters like Chebacca and Darth Maul and an assortment of interesting other characters from the movies Add on both FREDDY KREUGER and JASON VOORHEES - you have 2 MAJOR Horror characters Then for the legions of LOTR fans two more good quality - if not quite 'A list' - characters in BRAD DOURIF and CRAIG PARKER backed up by FOUR other cast members! Oh yes and not forgetting JOEY PANTS from one of the most popular US TV Shows in the past couple of year, who also in the MATRIX.....and others like CORIN NEMEC, BRIAN BLESSED, CLINT HOWARD And how much is this varied and interesting line up going to cost you to get in to see - £10, £20 - £35 ??? Because that's what the shows I mentioned earlier will be charging. Sometimes I think that we are all guilty of losing a link to reality. Around 30 Movie/TV Actors will be brought to a Shopping Centre near you FOR FREE, in the very near future. I would like to add that I have absoutely no vested interest in writing this small post of positivity. I am possibly the only person here not to have seen Return of the King or Two Towers. I do enjoy Sci Fi, but am not 'big' on horror and to be perfectly honest, none of the guests announced 'floats my boat', BUT Collectormania remains - IMHO - A fantastic event bringing together fans and guests in a Public place for a whole weekend for FREE.
  22. Sorry to disappoint you guys, but that piece on the Richard and Judy show was recorded 2 weks ago! I telephoned BVI today to see if they were giving Hidalgo a London Premiere, but no, they weren't. "So how come Viggo was on TV?" Answer - "He flew in for a couple of days of interviews and media engagements 2 weeks back inc R&J - but he's long gone now"
  23. ....Although Elijah IS IN LONDON at the moment... He's shooting a movie called THE YANK and should be around for a while yet. And here's a note for Elijah fans diaries - Premiere of ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND is set for Monday 19 April at Odeon Leicester Square. Now, if he's in London filming and the Premiere of his latest movie is on it does not take a rocket scientist to guess he's likely to be there.
  24. Whether he comes or not, maybe you'd like a look at the man himself with his latest 'creation'...Saruman from LOTR The photo, by the way is one taken by me at a signing - which I provided to the official CL Website 16 months ago (and is still on there, to my knowledge)
  25. Now heres a thought - wouldn't it be fantastic to get a guy like SCOTT BAKULA to either a Collectormia or LFACC ? For one - he is a working actor, but not a top line one who is headlining movies all the time. Two - as lead actor in ENTERPRISE he'd be a super aquisition for all the Star Trek fans Three - Remember him in the excellent TV Time travel series QUANTUM LEAP. Very popular series with a great following. Four - could be the first time he's ever appeared at a Convention/Show And Five - My wife has fancied him for years and it would shut her up for weeks to even get a glimpe of him.
