  1. anyone from any of the Texas Chainsaw movies (apart from the remake). anyone from the original Dawn of the Dead. and please please please PLEASE can we have Catriona MacColl, if anyone besides me knows who she is!!
  2. Are you joking? Have you seen the full verson?.....This is one sick film. Horror isn't all about unreal boogymen and blood...... Sorry...I just had to say that........... I'll give a couple of films to avoid.... Omen 4, Candyman3, Bram Stokers Legend of the Mummy 1 and 2, Troll2, Howling 7 and Prom night 1, 3 and 4...I love 2 yes of course i saw the full version. i'm well aware of the fact that horror isn't all "unreal boogymen and blood", but if you think this film is sick , you really need to start watching some more extreme horror films, especially those that haven't come out of the states, coz i cant really think of any really disturbing or sick horror films that have come from there. japanese and italian films are usually a good bet. in comparison to a lot of other movies i've seen LHOTL was about as "sick" as the Harry Potter movies. LHOTL was tame, tame, tame.

    Cabin Fever

it was alright, but it was really a comedy, not a horror, tons of it cracked me up.
  4. i think you can guess what i chose. although actually the location of the house was a place called Quick Hill, just ouside of Austin itself. The house isn't there anymore, as it was moved a few years back and is now a restaurant in Kingsland, TX. However you can still see the foundations of the house at thier original location. Another point to make is that in the film, the location of the house was never actually specified.
  5. definately Leatherface (especially the original incarnation). come to think of it, the whole original family were awesome.
  6. erm, first of all where exactly did i write "wes cramen", coz i cant see it written anywhere in my post. secondly yes i have seen nightmare on elm street, but i didn't rate it atall, and freddy sucks.
  7. LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT, LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT, LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT, LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT, LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT, LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT, LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT, LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT, LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT, LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT, LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT !!!!! cannot stress this enough, the worst, crappyest, most boring film i've ever had the misfortune to view. complete waste of time, AVOID AT ALL COSTS. actutally anything thats got anything to do with wes craven. i'm yet to see a film with his name attached that wasn't complete and utter turd. yeah also gotta agree with driller killer, it was s***e. particularly the original UK DVD release, which had picture quality so bad it looked like you were watching through greaseproof paper, and the sound was no better. plus it made my DVD player make some very strange sounds!
  8. lol thats alot of claims to fame. i just remembered another one, albeit really crappy. Damon albarn's (vocalist from Blur) cousin used to live a few doors down from me. looked just like him aswell.
  9. hey everyone. apologies if this has been posted before, but i'm just curious if anyone on here has a "claim to fame". mine is somewhat tedious, but then again most are my sister's best friend's uncle is Ray Park (Darth Maul, Toad in X-Men) who will incidentally be at C5. anyone have any other interesting ones?
  10. oh tons of it is funny, prime bits being : "i'm not gonna hurt you, i'm just gonna smash your brains in, i'm gonna smash them right the f*** in" the fact that the cook dude spends half the movie driving back to the place only to get axed as soon as he walks in. that shot of Nicholson staring out of the window with that same facial expression. "Little pigs, little pigs, let me in. Not by the hair of your chiny-chin-chin? Well then I'll huff and I'll puff, and I'll blow your house in. " all absolute classic bits that were just stupidly funny.
  11. lol, the shining is damn good, although i mostly found it hilariously funny.
  12. nah LHOTL isn't gory atall
  13. ok i REALLY wouldn't reccomend watching LHOTL if you value your sanity and/or wallet. its insanely boring, plus has wes cravens name attached - its spelled disater on every film of his i've seen (nothing personal louise, its just that was easily THE worst film i ever had the displeasure to watch). however, i totally agree with KAT, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre has next to no blood and gore, and is one of the best horror films ever (just make sure you get the 1974 original and not the remake).
  14. is someone gonna post a new question?
  15. I have to agree with Obi-Wan; NO WAY!!!
  16. to be fair, i know everyone rates craven, but every movie i've seen that hes been involved with has sucked huge ammounts.
  17. yeah you guys are probably right , this thread was obviously made to start arguements, just look at the poll options: "Yes (I have very good taste and heaps of common sense) No (I'm being bitter)" they might as well have just been Yes and Yes.
  18. where exactly did i say i didnt think there should be ANY LOTR guests? some is fine, its just thateverything seems to be either LOTR or star wars related. plus LOTR is just one franchise, which gets a ton of guests, as opposed to the whole horror genre, which hardly gets any.
  19. That is very true. While i think it would be severely cool if he came, as i would love to talk to him about his early stuff like Bad Taste and Braindead (no LOTR thanks), the point is you wouldnt even get a single word in before being bundled off. Bottom line: it wouldn't really be worth it.
  20. no more goddamn LOTR guests PLEASE!!! i personally dont give a flying f**k about the films, so more and more LOTR guests doesnt really make me wanna go to either LFACC or Collectormania. yeah ok we all know LOTR is the current flavour of the month, but its really obvious that tons of people just want certain LOTR guests there coz they fancy them. we need more good horror guests, coz the horror fans are being neglected.
  21. nah. it would suck and create havoc, particularly at the Collectormania venue.

    Horror Guests

thats so lame for people to say. how does not liking a particular horror film or a particular part of the horror genre mean that your not a "proper" horror fan. horror is a pretty broad genre and lots of people are into lots of different types of horror. for instance i'm a huge fan of the italian zombie and cannibal genres, but does that mean i'm not a horror fan because i dont like "chucky" or "halloween" or "scream"? if you like horror movies and consider yourself a fan, then you are one, dont let anyone tell you otherwise. going in the logic of the people who said you arent a "proper" horror fan, in order to be one, you have to absolutely love ANY horror film that gets put in front of you, which is dumb as hell.
  23. i really cant stand the scream movies, and last house on the left was the worst, most boring movie i ever saw, but each to his/her own i guess.
