I just came across this and while I have scanned the thread for clarity, too many 'so not fair' posts making it a bit protracted.. So, umm, for the idiot in the peanut gallery, does this 'group shot' mean each attendee and the guests as opposed to one massive group shot? Yes, I know it's a dumb question but I'm rather lost In the case that it's individual shots and dependant on when they plan to be taken, if I can't (or don't want to, more likely) have one, can I gift it to someone else that doesn't meet the criteria that wants one?

There was someone looking to share a twin somewhere on the board, not sure if they got hooked up or not though. If all else fails and you can't find anything, I have a double booked and can always see about an extra bed being brought in, or bring my own camp bed along. I usually end up sleeping on the floor in hotels anyway as the beds tend to play my back up if they're too squishy. Might be others with twins still looking though

Ask for a lift from the airport to the hotel? I'm sure there are people like me who will be passing London and will swing by for an airport pickup if needed. I've done it a few times going to con type things before. Depends how you feel on the matter though, some people aren't comfortable with getting in cars with virtual strangers which is fair enough.

Well I think I'm convinced! Not least because of the sheer amount of bribery and corruption I had to do at work to clear this weekend, even this early in the proceedings I'm sure we can arrange a meet up nearer the time for those who wish to. I did wonder about the TruBlood. Lol. Can't seem to get it over here though unless you pay extortionate Ebay shipping. Boo! And Facebook. I have it but I don't use it much as they keep changing the stupid thing. I think this would be me. I hope. I can make an effort to start using it constructively! hey. Im 32 and hope to attend. Not sure if my husband would be able to come so I would probably be on the same boat as you. No-one I know has any interest in going to cons, they don't get it!!! who's the sad one me or them? Oh I get that all the time from people that just don't 'get' why you'd want to go to anything like this. Maybe if they ever tried it they'd know, so it's definitely them that are sad and not the rest of us! At least that's the view I'm sticking to..

I'm quite tempted by this event but am being a little put off by the fact no one else I know wants to go I've been to cons before but never on my own and although I'm not particularly shy, just not sure I have what it takes anymore to just randomly try and meet people there. Anyone else in the same boat? Was wondering if there were others who would maybe like to get into a PM support group or something so we all feel like we at least vaguely know someone else there when it comes to it! People perhaps not looking for roomies, but just others to spend time with. I'm holding back on committing to this until I feel a bit more comfortable with the fact I'll be all on my todd! Would especially like to know if any older people will be going, thirties and up! And yeah, I'm in my thirties female if anyone was wondering

I'm with you. We have plenty of accomodation available and large venues to hold events like this. If it's good enough for the flipping party conferences, it's good enough for this!

Does anyone have any idea when the talk tickets are being sent out or does anyone have theirs already? I haven't had mine as yet and I'm leaving the country on Saturday and will be going straight to the event on my return without visiting home. I was assured when I booked them they would definitely be out prior to this weekend, but now I'm worried they wont be. Does anyone have any news on this?
