I've posted these in other threads but strangely, not this one!!

If you have no chance to retrieve your tickets bring the confirmation e-mail and the lovely ladies and guys at the Organisers Booth will sort you out. Tickets will be sent early in some cases (I got some of my Comic Con tickets with C15 tickets because they were ordered together), but as a general rule they go out in batches and there's no way to tell in which batch your order will be. So I'm afraid your order can't be sent early. The only other option I see is if you're meeting someone at the event. You could have the tickets sent to their address. Otherwise you will have to bring the print out. That's great. Many thanks!!

OK, here's my boggle. I'm on holidays for the 2 weeks prior to the con and will be flying into London for the con before heading home. So if the tickets are sent out 2 weeks prior to the con, mine will probably be sitting on the door matt at home while I'm off traveling. Any chance of having the tickets held for me or sent early or taking the confirmation e-mail of the purchase or...any ideas? I'm after a Misha photo op and 2 early bird tickets for Sat & Sun BTW.

If someone isn't interested in a guest, why not just leave the topic alone? It seems simple enough to me. In fact, it's exactly what I and many other people do. There's a whole topic discussing the problems with this event, so there's no need to drag it into every single topic. Please try and let us do our jobs. It's not made any easier with people criticising on a regular basis. Now, let's leave it at that, and let others talk about looking forward to meeting Frank. Thank you. Thank you.

What? You can only comment on a guest annoucement if you want to gush about them? If guests do come on the forum, what's stopping them reading other threads? Come on, enough of the Stepford announcment thread.

Well, I'm afraid all has not been said and this type of suger-coating is unacceptable. Sure, it may turn out to be an enjoyable weekend but that's not the point. To say that they've been unable to get the guests they 'hoped' for is a worrying statement. What's to stop me advertising a con and saying "I hope to get guests of a certain calibre. Give me your money now and if I don't get them, well, sorry, we'll have a party instead." When a statement is issued indicating that there 'will be' guests of a certain calibre, then it's not beyond reason to expect as much. To say at the 11th hour, "well, we hoped to get them but it didn't turn out" makes me wonder how far down the road of contracting guests were SM/ME when the con was announced. I fully believe that efforts were, and possibly still are being made to get a big HP guest but this is the work that needs to finalised early on so you can then advertise with a strong degree of certainty that the guest/s will be there (I know they can cancel due to work and other commitments, I fully understand that is a pitfall of con organising). It was the expectation of guests (both supporting and regular cast members) that led the initial announcement, not potions rooms or puppet workshops.

Come on DavidB, I know you'll always stick up for SM and I, for one, know that can't always be easy but SM did more than 'suggest' what they were planning for this con. It's been repeated a number of times what the original guest plan was for this con and it's clearthat that plan is not what's happening and even if they do somehow manage to pull another couple of guests out of the hat, it'll be too late for most of us who needed to make plans long before this. Look, I know I'm sounding like a broken record and I don't mean to get at you at all. You're in the firing line I suppose and I admire the way you always come on here and try to keep us all in order (not an easy thing) but SM need to address these issues here, online. If the con doesn't work out as they hoped (and I know they'll try their best), then they need to be upfront and admit that holding on to the hope of great guests, 2 days before the con starts is an impossible position for many of us. I've been to many CM's and LFCC's and they're always great. No one's gonna hold it against SM for trying and coming up short but a little reality and common sense is perhaps what we need right now.

It could be seen as a bonus if it wasn't for the fact that said guests were promised from the start and some of us booked tickets intending to meet them.
