  1. Very nicely done :) - i'll have to find a harder one :)
  2. I only ever did 4 lg once, and always 1 lg for the rest because 4 lg on the show under pressure was a bit woah man lol - here was the puzzle : 100 75 50 25 1 10 @ 254 I actually play Countdown/Scrabble as a hobby in my spare time - especially Countdown - been a loyal servant to the show for years.
  3. 4 lg make for good puzzles, not a fan of six small really or 3 lg. Normally for me it is 1 lg or 4 lg.
  4. 99 using just the big numbers? okey dokey folks - 100 75 50 25 75-50=25, 100-1(25/25)=99
  5. I do indeed have the teapot :-) and a trophy
  6. Not many clips exist online unfortunately but I have all my episodes on blu-ray.
  7. Here is my cd profile http://wiki.apterous.org/Robin_McKay
  8. I made it to the semi finals, scored ten centuries and lost in the semi finals by 1 pt. I also got the highest ever debut score alongside two others. There were some clips on YouTube but they may have been removed. I have pics from my time on countdown. I'll see if I can find some video. Had a fabulous experience.
  9. I was under the impression they'd attended a con but not done a signing/autograph and to my knowledge, Arnie and Harrison were in that bracket, but obv. not, so Wednesday will be very interesting.
  10. I didn't know Arnold had done photos/signings before or Harrison.
  11. Another thought occurred to me.. Jamie Lee Curtis, but then she's done a signing/photo shoot before and said she'd never do another, so that's that theory down the pan. It'd be amazing if it were Harrison Ford. For me, my bets are Harrison Ford or Arnold Schwarzenegger because to my knowledge, he's never done a photo shoot but turned up to a convention before, like Ford. So my bet is one of those two. Won't be Stallone as he's done a photo shoot before at a convention.
  12. For me, it is obviously meeting the guests - I've only ever been to one event and that was back in 2015 - unfortunately, I have been cash strapped since then as I am not employed right now. Also, I was feeling quite low at the time of the event back in 2015 but when I went, I felt really good about myself and met some really wonderful people, so for me, its the guests and the people and the overall atmosphere - I mean, back in 2015, they had a BTTF reunion and you'll never see that again in your lifetime, I can bet, just to give an example, highlighting the amazing job Showmasters do in organising the events.
  13. I will be honest when I say I think last year's line up was immense imo considering whom was coming over for the show. I mean, guests like MJF, Sigourney Weaver and Robert Englund in his Freddy makeup, an incredibly rare opportunity, just blew me away. I also think that line up as another poster said was a rare occurrence and you won't find me moaning about guests as I know showmasters work hard to get these things set up. I myself would come to LFCC this year but I don't have the funds, quite simply.mwould love to meet Dolphins but I'll do a send in for his autograph if it's being done but have a great time, everyone.
  14. The thing is, they do it once and everybody expects it every time. I know LFCC is the flagship show and we should expect the highest calibre guests to be there but it still comes down to availability, interest from the proposed guests, fee, ect. It may not come together every time. Yes they may be able to book Arnie but if he's charging hundreds of thousands for appearing the organisers have to say ' it's not affordable'. I was afraid to say this but I do think the bar needs to be maintained and I don't think personally this year's line up is as strong but that said, it's still a good line up and we should appreciate all the effort showmasters put in to make these events happen. With Arnold, I know other events where he has been at and I think to book people of this calibre costs six figures, so it's not beyond the bounds of reason.
  15. I would like to see their opinion of what a big guest is. I mean honestly. MJF is one of the biggest names around and one of the most inspirational. For me there's no logic in saying MJF isn't a big name. When he was announced, I was so annoyed I might not meet him then fate intervened and I was suddenly buying a diamond pass to meet him. One happy lad, I can tell you. If I have understood right, you can't dictate what guests come to these events. We're not in charge and neither would I personally want to be like that. I love the element of surprise when names are announced for LFCC and if people don't get the names they want, tough Imo. In regards to work, if people get abrasive, if just say if you don't stop talking to me like that, in the nicest possible way, put the phone down. Maybe that's a reason why at work, calls should be recorded so that it doesn't come down to a my word against theirs scenario. The 'argument' over MJF was that he hasn't done anything in years and that his film CV is a lot less significant than other Hollywood A listers, and that meant it didn't justify his 'star' announcement. Thing is the argument isn't wrong, the poster wasn't incorrect in what they said in principle but seemingly couldn't acknowledge the enormity of the announcement. The fact that Showmasters got MJF, the star of a trilogy of films that will always be on a list of iconic films, to agree to travel that distance which must have been a massive issue for him is phenomenal. But what can you say! Just because someone hasn't done something in years doesn't mean they aren't a star. It's to do with the longevity of their appeal. I mean, for me, some of today's A Listers aren't anything to write home about and actors from this generation are a lot more significant than some people you get now. I think Showmasters did well to get MJF.
  16. Michael J. Fox not a big guest? Don't make me laugh. He's about as big as it gets, considering who he is and his legacy I do remember those posts and the reasons the poster said MJF wasn't a big guest and it just goes to show how everyone sees things differently, but unfortunately not everyone sees things logically or can be reasoned with. A lot of people these days expect things to always go the way they want it and can get pretty nasty, especially when not face to face. I recall how some of the Mods have been treated in the recent past over some issues and it's awful that people do those kind of things. I understand frustration, that sometimes people unfortunately blow up at the only people they can reach (I get it at work when people call where I work and not where they want because they can't get the company they want and they let loose on us) because of that but nothing excuses lack of courtesy and politeness really. 17. Just to add, this line up this year is as good as last year. Also, people don't always appreciate the effort put into organising these events. Keep up the good work, showmasters.

  19. Thanks for your help Queen_Sindel. I don't think I could really afford it regardless this time around, though, plus I like to get a VIP pass as for me, takes the whole stress out of the weekend, as it did at my first convention last year at LFCC 2015, which was a massive help.
  20. Thanks mate for this info, much appreciated. I would go, but the ticket prices are a bit out of my price range but looks like an epic event.
  21. Hi I just wondered if any of the package tickets gets you earlier access to the venue like a gold pass does to LFCC, for example? Thanks
