  1. in my opinion, it's just to shut the fans up as they did with Halloweedon, Bronycon or whatever it's called and Twilight fans. They should have said this in a seperate part of the forum instead of here as it lead so many people to think on different things and then got shot down after the reveal came.
  2. My thoughts exactly. I was hoping it was gonna be something for Collectormania and LFCC. Complete huge let down Showmasters.
  3. I wonder if it's to do with Ghostbusters seeing as how it's the 30th anniversary this year of when the film first aired in cinemas. Plus it kinda makes sense since the guy who played Winston had to back out of Winter London Film And Comic Con due to filming a new show.
  4. well with what I said about MMPR Red ranger, no longer going as that, gonna be going as KuwagaRaiger (aka Navy Thunder Ranger) from Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger (aka Power Rangers Ninja Storm), Ariel Mermaid and Harley Quinn Injustice Gods Among Us attire.
  5. I'm not going as Red Ranger anymore, it's gonna be too much hassle in case I can't take the prop in....However, I am going as Navy Thunder Ranger from Ninja Storm.
  6. Hope this is okay to post here. I'm going to be attending London Film And Comic Con, however I'm wanting to attend as the Red Ranger from Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers since this year is the debut and 25th anniversary (I believe) of Power Rangers with Power Rangers Super Megaforce being shown next month. Would I be able to bring the Red Ranger's power sword with me which is going to be a cosplay prop. I am planning to buy it with the Red Ranger costume (helmet, costume and boots) and it will be made by CosplayHouse which is made from PVC. (here is a link - http://www.cosplayhouse.com/Power-Rangers-Cosplay-Prop-Red-Ranger-Sword-Version-01.html) I know the whole rules of "If you were to smash it over someone's head, would it break, if no, then best to leave it at home" for cosplay props. I appreciate your help everyone, just I would like to have a good time...however, if the cosplay prop isn't allowed, then I shall not buy it with the costume and just come as the red ranger minus the power sword.
  7. Well, thanks to CosplayHouse jacking up their cosplay prices for Power Rangers, I am no longer able to go as Gosei Red/Megaforce Red Ranger and Lunar Wolf ranger. Now I'm going to have to go with something else. I will still be doing Harley Quinn - Injustice: Gods Among Us though. Edit: CosplayHouse had a little fiasco with their currency converter program and everything changed the prices around really bad. Now it's changed back to normal, I'm still going to be going as Megaforce Red Ranger and MMPR White RAnger alongside Harley Quinn cosplay (White Ranger is instead of Lunar Wolf Ranger)
  8. Great guest to go with the 7th doctor of course :) Nice one SM, you keep pulling tricks out of your sleeves!
  9. Get a sleeve from one of the stalls whom sells comics (can't remember the stalls name), he sells em for £1 each and it'll look great. I have both my Steve Cardenas and Paul McGann photo shoots as well as my Chavo Guerrero autograph in them.
  10. Ditto on Zahariel's post, I can't wait to meet him as well as Dave Prowse. Two of my favourite characters from the star wars saga.
  11. one of my favourite former WWE superstars, can't wait to meet him! I always loved when he won the European title, he would dress up like someone from the said country like France or Germany or Switzerland as well as Cheese-Head with Steve Blackman. The skit with them in the old people's home was hilarious! Nice one SM!
  12. Oh man...such an awesome guest, I'm gonna take my Vader FX Lightsaber along and see if Mr Prowse can autograph it!
  13. yea, anyway I've just looked at both Megaforce Blue and Red Ranger cosplays and Red is a tiny bit cheaper than Megaforce Blue (since Megaforce Blue helmet is from Ebay xD), so gonna go with Red instead of Blue.
  14. Dunno why I bother as well to say "Oh gonna do such and such cosplay" then change my mind XD Anyway, here is the FINAL ideal cosplays - Megaforce Blue - Power Rangers Megaforce/Gosei Blue - Tensou Sentai Goseiger (lil kids will relate to Megaforce Blue rather than Gosei Blue even though it's the same suit) Belle - Beauty & The Beast (if I can, if not, it'll be this) - Lunar Wolf - Power Rangers Wild Force Harley Quinn - Injustice: Gods Among Us.
  15. As I said, Capaldi is on filming Doctor Who season 8, so there's no chance he will be able to make it unless they finish it up before March, which is unlikely as they said S8 of DW is coming in autumn/winter time.
  16. I hear that, it was £4 for a burger last time I went and £5 for nachos.
  17. Scratch the previous one, I'm deffo doing EVA, but I'm gonna be doing either Elizabeth from Bioshock or Jill Valentine from RE3
  18. Danny Elfman Elvira/Cassandra Peterson John Cleese Kurt Russell Wes Craven John Carpenter Sam Raimi Bruce Campbell Robert Englund Michael Keaton Christopher Lee Christopher Eccleston Matt Smith Peter Capaldi Trey Parker Matt Stone I would say yes to all of these, however Trey Parker and Matt Stone are busy with South Park (specially now they're renewed for another few seasons), Peter Capaldi won't make it as he's filming Doctor Who season 8 and same can be said with Matt Smith - he's in Broadway now that he's finished up with Doctor Who.
  19. Teleute - have a good time. There's plenty of stuff there to do like stalls, they're really well priced stuff on there. If you see cosplayers, don't be shy and go up and see if they are alright to have a photo taken with em.
  20. excellent, I like the prices already. Not as bad as Ian Mcdiarmid's photoshoot and autograph prices, but that's my opinion lol. I may or may not get a TARDIS photoshoot with Paul and Sly because I would love for a photo with just Sly himself. (Already got a photo with Paul back at Winter LFCC XD) and I would like to get my big doctor who stamp promo that I bought from WLFCC signed by the two.
  21. I would love to go as Jason Voorhees, my two masks have been sitting in my draw full of cosplay accessories and props for a while now...but I don't know if I will be able to cosplay as Jason at Newcastle Film And Comic Con. I saw many Freddy Krugers and Ghostface at Winter LFCC, so there's no doubt I'll be able to cosplay as Jason. I have sent a email, so hopefully I'll get confirmation in the morning from showmasters email reply whether or not as I know there's kids at the convention, if not, I'll do something else...probably not Joker again, it kinda gets overkilled otherwise.
  22. Are you coming to the con via car, as it's near Metro Centre, which has a ton of restaurants like Frankie 'n' Bennys, McD's, Pizza Hut, Subway, a chinese food buffet, Eds Diner among other stuff. This is what my mom and myself are thinking of doing if we can get up to Newcastle for the NFCC. It's actually at Newcastle Arena, which is about 10 mins walk from Newcastle Central train station, near the Redheugh Bridge, so some distance from the Metro Centre itself. There is a world of food places in the area - if you are staying in Newcastle central check out the Quayside as many of the Italians and bars are surprisingly cheap, and most of them are really decent, particularly those lining Dean Street on the way down to the Quayside (Babucho being my favourite, but Prima next door, and Sabatini's on the actual Quayside next to the Tyne Bridge also being good). There's a fabulous little restaurant that does good set meals across from Babuchos in a cellar which does good slightly posher nosh, called Oak (I'm not sure what type of food you are looking for, but this place is lush for a treat) - http://www.oaknewcas...tle.co.uk/. In Pink Lane, near Newcastle Central Station, there's a great pub called the Forth http://www.theforthnewcastle.co.uk/ - though beware some of the other pubs there! There's also a cute American diner nearby. There is a yellow bus service that travels from one end of Newcastle to the other, and includes the Quayside - you can buy one ticket which you can use to get around all day (and night!). Again, in central town there is Grey Street- most of the pubs down there have food, as does the Gate near Westgate Road (and about 15 - 20 mins walk from the Arena - this is more typical Frankie and Bennys, etc). Annoyingly the only place they don't run is the Arena itself, which is in an odd place and an absolute car bottle neck. You should be able to pick up a free city map from either central station, Central Library or from Tourist info - this is near Monument (which is basically the central point of Newcastle) in Windows Arcade. And like every other town in the UK, there are Prets, Starbucks, Costas etc everywhere. You can tell I live / work in Newcastle! One place to avoid (particularly on a weekend night) - the Big Market. It really is as bad as they say! Hope this helps. Yea, I live in Ferryhill (about a half hour drive away) and I know how bad it can be at Metro Radio Arena as I've been there twice for WWE events and it was manic/chaos trying to get food and drinks, hence why my mom and I are driving up to Metro Centre instead for a bite to eat and chill out for half an hour until we go back and enjoy ourselves again at the convention.
