  1. Need to remember it for next year :-) thanks again for adding me as a friend :-)Totally getting a mini fan for next year!!! And thanks for adding me. I think we'll get on very well, and so good to have a likeminded friend! PS: want a bug?! Any colour - you name it - they come in small (the guests had those) medium and large! Thanks i think we will get on well too,Brian is a really nice guy we run a scifi news group on Facebook :-)Thanks they are cute :-) Glad you agree. that's good, maybe I should join the group. Do you gave a favourite colour? They're quite easy and quick to make.I will need to have a think of the best colour :-) I will send you a invite every member is free to post anything scifi and fantasy related :-) Awesome - most colours are available in wool, but most times, I get a pattern I want to knit and find I don't have all the colours available in my wool basket and have to buy some! Will enjoy the group, I am already! Talking of groups, would you like to join mine for my toy knitting? I also do role play written stories and have a group for that too, and though I do have supernatural and powered characters, stories are romance and family oriented drama!

  3. I'm really sorry to hear about your wife,my mum has osteoarthritis and can understand what your wife and Amanda is going throughI'm sorry to hear the about your mum. I have osteoarthritis with rheumatoid factor. It's hell. People just assume I'm a fat greedy person, but I don't really eat that much in a day. Just can't burn off what I do eat. I'm really sorry to hear you have osteoarthritis with the rheumatoid factor, don't worry about what people think you are a nice lovely woman :-) The rheumatoid factor isn't too high just now, but some fingers bend and my pinkie finger is bumpy lol and thanks, it's nice to know you think that.
  4. I bought 12 of those pop vinyl figures! Lol Angel, Spike and Willow (Buffy & Angel) Arya Stark, Jon Snow, Khaleesi and Samwell Tarly (Game of Thrones) Oliver Queen (Arrow) Barry Allen (The Flash) King Bob minion Rocket Racoon (Guardians of the Galaxy) Lafayette Reynolds (True Blood)
  5. That's amazing to hear, just show's that there are still good people in the world :) Awe i'm glad to hear you had a great time, i was hoping to see you at the event and come for a chat but obviously i couldn't attend. I hope for future events they can work with the big crowd's whether it be moving venue (which imo is needed) or having two events on a year (some people may prefer to go to one and not the other if it's roughly the same i dunno?) What was the auctions like and what items where there? I'm gutted i couldn't attend as i was really looking forward to seeing them and participating, hoping to grab a great item. Thanks. Sorry you couldn't make it, would love to have met you and more of you, but it never happened for one reason or another. I just hope if they change venue, that I can still get a hired scooter, or getting to the next event may not happen. I really hope that if they do move venue you can still get a mobility scooter, this is something Showmasters will need to remember for everyoe if they revenue. I'm sure there is possibilities to get a mobility scooter at he SECC or the Hydro, and if not i'm sure there's place's that do a delivery drop of (if that makes any sense ) BTTF stands for Back To The Future (the movie) :-D I think British Red Cross would do a drop off and pick up. May have to pay for it, but it would be worth it. Ah, of course, yes, my favourite movie ever. I loved the second one too, but thought the third got a bit silly. Lol But still love my BTTF prop shoots.
  6. Thanks Jakers. I'm sure I will be able to work something out. But if it's the SECC they move to, you don't have an abundance of eateries close by to go to.... Let's face it, we need to keep our energy levels up by eating! Lol
  7. That's amazing to hear! I'm really glad everyone has had a great time! Wow! I'm really gutted i missed it now, was there any BTTF related items? Also what's the SJA prop? Any chance you could take a picture and upload it? Thank you as well, i'm really gutted i missed it on the last minute as i was very excited all year round for it. Hopefully next year runs smoothly :) What does BTTF stand for?! Lol

  9. I was wearing a floral headband and a red top on a mobility scooter. So that was likely me lol. If any of have Facebook my profile link is in my profile here, feel free to add me. It means it could be easier to arrange a meet up at the next convention. I would love to have more likeminded friends I know in person.
  10. Yeah, I have to agree, like with Me Carl's wife Jennifer Blanc, wish I had gotten her autograph at least! She was lovely talking to me, even though I was at Michael's desk and then moved on! Lol
  11. Had an awesome weekend and met half of the 24 TV and Film guests announced! Everyone was wonderful and the atmosphere electric. But yeah, pandemonium in the stalls hall - more so Saturday than Sunday. Hell trying to get a mobility scooter through that! Lol

  13. I totally agree with X-Man - I am super big/heavy and dressed up as Princess Leia on Saturday. I looked huge, but nobody seemed embarrassed about me when I asked for a picture with them!

  15. Thanks! Had an amazing time! You have some cool photos too! And lol at the Englund expense! Couldn't resist. It's not everyday you get to meet one of your heros.i When/If he ever comes back I'm defo gonna invest in a replica glove. Saw a few people getting them signed and was mega jealous :) This is very true! You totally should get a glove!
  16. Well, I'll repeat what I did on the topic I started called Showmasters Crew - I realise the need for a bigger venue, but if it happens, it's likely that this year was my last and if it is, thank goodness I made it big this year!
  17. Sunday was busy but not as pandemic as Saturday, but still hell trying to get round the stalls on a scooter. Not everybody can afford to have their own scooter and as I have already explained, mine would never fit in the car. So if a different venue is on the cards, how am I meant to get around if they don't hire out scooters or wheelchairs? Yes I could look into hiring from an individual place, but would still have to get it from there to the venue, unless they did a drop off and pick up and I dare say that would be costly. So once more, it could mean my not being able to go. But from past experiences, I know many non disabled don't give a crap about those who are as long as they're happy. That attitude really brings me down and that's the way I feel now after the high of the weekend. I'm now left to believe that this year was the last I'll go, what with all this 'need a bigger venue'.
  18. Thanks! Had an amazing time! You have some cool photos too! And lol at the Englund expense!
  19. So, here is my contribution - and just look at all the happy faces with their little bugs! Wendy has a special one because I decided last minute to get her autograph and this one was sitting as it was supposed to be for my cousin - so I'll make her another one! I just love these photos! Thank you everybody for making my weekend a very special one!
  20. I am so with you there. When he was announced - I fan girl squee'd! I knew I had to meet him and was only supposed to be going Saturday. But hubby said I could go both days if I wanted, so I did! Then decided to make it more worthwhile by getting Chris Judge's auto and photo on the Sunday instead of Saturday as planned and then Daniel Portman got added, another squee and of course made him Sunday and then Amanda Wyss too! Fantastic weekend, like I said, they were lethal together and I have never laughed so much in my life. If he came back next year, I don't need his autograph again unless I was getting it for someone else, but I would definitely get his photo shoot again for sure and just go up to talk with him. He kept saying to me, come back and join the party!!! If you're bored come back to us and just chill and talk! Great guy!
  21. Oh, I am so sorry to hear that. Tell her I can feel her pain! I have some rheumatoid factor, some of my fingers bend in weird ways and are a bit lumpy. But not bad enough to stop me from typing, though my wrists get sore, so I do have to keep taking breaks, the same with the knitting (like of those little bugs). I noticed you added me on Facebook and I have accepted - so if you're after a bug or two - hit me up with a message and let me know. Yes - I booked my scooter for the weekend at Braehead back in January believe it or not! So I know about booking in advance.
  22. Yeah, I thought that it would be illegal. My main issue is that I need a scooter for someone at least 27 stone (I hate that I am as big as I am, but poor mobility due to severe arthritis has done this to me sadly). I will definitely look into it, if indeed they do move to the SECC or Hydro because it was definitely packed in there, more so Saturday, but I found it hard going getting through the throngs of people on that scooter! I am sure I would be able to work something out if the need arises, but thank you for taking the time to respond to this, I appreciate it.
  23. Me too - thank god I didn't run into his table like I did Daniel's! My scooter took a mind of its own, it was possessed and I couldn't stop it. Almost killed a guy on the floor sorting his stuff. Daniel and Samuel were rolling with laughter and the Showmasters crew!!!! They kept telling people to watch, I was a maniac and going to kill them. I got dubbed trouble! Lol
