Hmm...maybe next to a picture of Jar Jar Binks (!) I don't mind the actor in other stuff but that character (which the photo is of) drove me nuts.

Did anyone get a signed photo of anyone other than Ethan Phillips? My husband and I both got his in our standard goodie bags. He played the only regular ST character I can't stand. Typical!

Scott Bakula was one of the nicest people I've ever met. I loved him as Archer so I was worried the man himself might not live up to my expectations but he couldn't have been nicer. He seemed to have time for everyone. Plus he gave me a hug in my photoshoot, which made my day :-D

Do we know what the parties will involve yet? I'm guessing alcohol, music and dancing but do we know what kind of music? Will there be themed drinks? Sorry for all the questions, it's just I'm getting excited!

I'll be 'dragging' my husband along (I'm sure he's looking forward to it, really) so it would be nice to meet other people who are really into Trek. It sounds like a lot of people are up for making new friends so I hope it's a friendly event.

For those attending parties not in uniform (I only have one for the TNG night), will people only be wearing jeans/casual stuff or will some be dressing for a night out? I'm thinking of wearing a not-too-fancy dress for the Klingon ball but I don't want to look out of place (other than not looking very Klingon!) Thanks

What time will the parties start? I'm at a very nearby hotel - is it normal for people to nip back and get changed in between the day and night and will we be refused entry to the parties after a certain time? I'm hoping to nip back and put my new costume on and my other half will probably fancy a quick nap. :)

Hi, I'm a con newbie and have a few questions... 1. Am I right in thinking that the first thing to do each day when I arrive is to (a) head to the autograph areas and pick up VQ tickets for the guests I'd like autographs of and then ( go straight to the place giving out tickets for the free talks/shows? 2. I can see the autograph area from the floorplan but where will the free show tickets be given out? 3. Will we get our goodie bag and pre-signed photo when we first arrive? 4. Excel looks huge - is there just one main entrance for everyone going to the event ? Thanks!

Thanks to both the mods and the helpful fans. This will be my first con and I haven't a clue what to expect so I really appreciate all of the help and advice.

I went to a Star Wars event and there was a Picard look-a-like there in costume, so you never know. I think his name's Derek and he goes to events with the UK Garrison.

They say to contact them 48 hours before the event if your tickets haven't arrived.

Thanks Murph. Pass says "GOODY BAG", PRE SIGNED AUTO" and "AUTOGRAPH MANU INTIRAYMI" - I assume the middle one is the autograph so i'm not sure what the last is! I thought autographs were just inc in the more expensive tickets so yey!

Hi, I got my 3-day standard weekend tickets today but the envelope was open and I'm worried something might be missing. I have 2 laminated card-like passes and a reem of photo/talk tickets (all the ones I expected). Is that everything I should have? Do the card pass things usually come with lanyards? The card passes say "AUTOGRAPGH MANU INTIRAYMI" - what does that mean? Thanks!
