  1. Looks bad. I am coming from central London. I hope this will not delay the guests arriving!
  2. Thanks. I think my main concern was the weather. If there is a large crowd, then I could be standing in the rain for some time. I hope it is dry. Imagine 10,000 wet squeeky shoes inside the Excel. lol.
  3. I haven't been to a convention before, I was just curious if people camp outside these events in anticipation to be the first in the doors.
  4. I will be there on Saturday around 8.00am. Is one hour too early? Do you think there be large crowds of people camping outside the main doors?
  5. Does it take a long time for everybody to enter the room and take a seat? I hope it doesn't take up alot of time away from the talk.
  6. Thanks. My sister bought two tickets. One for me and one for her. She is not going. Our names are not on the tickets, so I don't know which one is mine. Does it really matter? The tickets are non-transferable, but how do I know which ticket is mine? Should I just bring both?
  7. My sister isn't going, but a friend of hers really wants to go. Can I give her my sister's entry ticket? Our surname is printed on the tickets. Does that matter? When we arrive at Excel do they ask to see everyones I.D.?
  8. When a talk is in progress, are the doors sealed? Can we leave 10 minutes early if we have to? I don't want to cause a fuss and make a big row of people stand up so I can get out. I don't think the guest would like it either.
  9. I wonder if it means the first 300 numbers called up will be reserved for package holders only. I just have a standard ticket and I am guessing if I was to grab the very first VQ ticket at 9.00am the number would say 301 because I have a standard ticket. I could be wrong. I don't know.
  10. Is Carolyn Seymour giving a talk? I was hoping she would join one of the groups. She has a wonderful voice.
  11. I hope there is a 15-20 minute gap between each talk. It will give me a much better chance to join the next queue before I can get back into the same room. lol.
  12. I have three talks back to back in the same room. I am worried there will be a large queue already waiting outside for the next talk to begin, and I won't get a good seat for the next talk. I wonder if I should be sneaky and leave each talk 10 minutes early so I can get a good spot in the queue for the next talk. I wonder if many people will be doing this? I don't want to end up at the back of the queue each time I leave the room.
  13. The talks I want to see are back to back. Do I have to leave the room and queue again? Can I just stay in my seat and wait for the next talk to begin?
  14. Good news. My sister phoned and she said our tickets arrived yesterday. I can relax now.
  15. My sister paid for the entry tickets with her card and I paid for everything else with my card. My sister isn't going, but I am. If I don't receive my tickets by Friday, can I just show them my card as proof of I.D?
  16. My sister received an email yesterday which said our tickets have been dispatched. Does anyone know how long it takes to arrive? She lives in Essex. Are they posted 1st class?
  17. It is very unusual. I thought tickets would be posted weeks in advance, not a hours. Concert tickets are posted months in advance. I am still waiting for my tickets. My sister bought my tickets as a present. There must be dozens of people in the same situation. Friends and co-workers have bought tickets for other people. They haven't arrived at their own door step yet, so they can't post them over to their friends. It is a horrible feeling when they book their flights and hotels, but they don't even have the tickets.
  18. Carolyn Seymour played the killer in one episode and I remember seeing David Warner a few times as well.
  19. Thanks. I will ask her to write it and post it on Saturday. The problem is the tickets will be posted to her address first and then she has to send them to me, and there is only one week left.
  20. If my tickets don't arrive on time, what do I do? My sister bought my tickets. I understand I need her authorisation. What does that mean? Does she need to write a letter and post it to me?
  21. I remember Kate appeared in 'Murder She Wrote'. She wore a beautiful white fur coat. I hope I don't spoil it, but Kate turned out to be the killer at the end.
  22. Can't wait to see Kate Mulgrew. It is very easy to forget these actors have done so many things since Star Trek. Most of them have appeared in 10 - 20 films and shows since Star Trek and I am sure their memories must be fragile at best. I think they would gratefully appreciate it if some of us ask them about their more recent / current / future work during the Talks Q+A session.
