  1. Oh thank you! I wish you a merry x-mas too!! *hugs* Merry X-Mas to all of you!!! Hugs, Nyah
  2. Just watched ROTK for the third time now, but still no trace of PJ...I never found him in FOTR and TTT all by myself either though, so I guess I just gotta wait until I get a hint of someone else! *g* I always spottet his children right away on the other hand. :) But that's been a bit too easy really! *g* Hugs, Nyah
  3. count me in too!! I just wonder what number I am...but if still possible i'd like to be Nr. 006. (Kinda my lucky number so it would just be cool! *gg*) Hugs, Nyah
  4. Well..that's what everyone, including Tolkien, says about the books as well. The movies and the books..they'll always be too short..'cause we'd always wish for the journey to go on. But the good thing is, that we can relive this journey over and over again. Right after seing ROTK for the first time, I started to reread LOTR again, 'cause I just felt, that the journey can't end yet. So I'm setting out for it all over again now. Anyway...I wanna thank PJ and the cast and crew as well for what they did with these movies. At the beginning I was a bit sceptical, being a fan of the books for quite a while before the movies. But even though PJ had to change a lot, every single scene of the movies lived up to my wishes perfectly. Filmmaking is a hard process and for most of us quite hard to understand too...everything's about the pace, so it's understandable that many things need to be cut in order to keep the film interesting. So the books will always be the real deal...but if there is one movie that comes as close to it as possible, than that would be PJs movie trilogy! I totally agree with all you said. For me this movie trilogy was a big journey too! Even though I've been a fan of the books before the movies, the whole story never meant as much to me as it does now. I think it's like before we all lived in our own little world, reading LOTR over and over again. But throughout the movies the story spread out and the people who've been in love with these characters and their journey for years found together. So it became a journey of its own to each and everyone of us. And I'm very very happy for having been able to take part in that journey. The future generation will definitely hear of PJs movie trilogy. But they never will know how it felt to see develloping the whole process of the trilogy coming to the big screen. So I guess we can call us lucky for having been around the past 3 years. I personally will never forget this journey and I'll always be thankful for the way it changed myself as a person. Hugs, Nyah
  5. Well yeah, right...I guess I used the wrong words..I wanted to more like welcome you to that part (being the LOTR part, where you haven't been that much I guess) of the boards. Anyway...I'm gonna have a look on that link to the trailer! :-) Hugs, Nyah
  6. I saw ROTK on monday (Swiss premiere/press screening) and I was just totally blown away!! This movie is definitely the best of the three! I still don't really can't talk about it, 'cause there are so many things I love about that movie. Mostly it's great how PJ did the ending...it's like you really get a lot of time to say goodbye to all the characters...'cause for some parts it's not only the hobbits and everyone saying goodbye, it's also us saying goodbye to a journey that was just fantastic. real spoiler My favorite scene, as far as I can tell be seeing it for the first time definitely was the one with Aragorn coming up to the hobbits, after he's crowned. The hobbits lower their head in respect of the king. But Aragorn stands in front of them and just says that they're not the ones who should go on their knees. So Aragorn goes down on his knees in front of the hobbits and so do all of the other people standing around...it's just such a brilliant scene...when I saw it I totally burst out in tears and so did about everyone at the cinema. spoiler end Well and then there's a typical Orli-scene again..you'll know what I mean when seeing it! Mhh...there's lots more I could say, but first I'm looking forward to seeing ROTK this evening again! :) Have fun everybody! Hugs, Nyah
  7. Oh by the way you girls out there..don't be afraid to show your tears...yesterday EVERYONE - and I'm saying everyone - was crying at one point or another. When the lights got on again at the cinema, everyone was like sitting there with tears in his/her eyes...it was incredible!! I'm looking forward to seeing ROTK tomorrow again!! Hugs, Nyah PS: Welcome to the board Spider-Man...btw..I looove Spidy too!! I was like watching these animated tv shows forever when I was little...and I saw Spiderman I in Sydney which was quite cool..because we don't get skyscrapers here, but in Sydney there are lots of course...so after watching the movie Sydney just felt like the right place to be!! *g*
  8. I live in Switzerland! I won tickets to attend a press premiere in Zurich. There was even an afterparty later on, so it was all very cool and very exiting!! :) Hugs, Nyah
  9. I've just seen it yesterday...but don't worry I'm not gonna spoil you guys! Just have fun tomorrow..I'm gonna be at the cinema again as well! :) Hugs, Nyah
  10. Well..look at it that way: At least you guys get something like a premiere with actors from the movies in England. Here in Switzerland we NEVER get anything at all!!! There's nothing happening here...everyone seems to forget about us...so well, all I really was able to do was wait and watch things going on on TV or on the Internet. Still I wished I could ever attend something like a special premiere for a movie. So be happy with the people you got instead of being annoyed about the people who weren't there...:) Hugs, Nyah
  11. Well, but Dom's been at the premiere actually: http://www.bagendinn.com/group/images/even.../rotklon014.jpg And as for Orli...well I don't know about him...still I can understand everyone of the actors who don't want to come, or more likely just aren't able to come. I mean I'm sure Elijah would have come, if he hadn't SNL to rehearse...work has to come first sometimes unfortunatley. Well..and for those people who simply didn't want to come, I can say, that I would be a bit fed up with all these premieres going on as well. Mostly because they saw the movie about 5 times just within a bit more than 10 days. That's like you're watching ROTK every other day again..Don't get me wrong..I love the movies - and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna love ROTK as much as the other two parts of the trilogy, if not even better - but still I wouldn't be able to watch the film within such a short distance over and over again. And then there's always the press who wants to get interviews and stuff..and the keep on asking the same questions. So I totally understand that it can get very annoying. Besides..Orlando hasn't been in Berlin either. So probably he's got just something else, which is more important, at hand right now. Who knows...anyway I wouldn't feel crossed because of some of them not going to the premiere. Hugs, Nyah
  12. I totally second that!!! Pretty please!!!! :) Hugs, Nyah
  13. He wasn't??!! Where was he then??!! Well..as for Elijah..you're right...SNL it was...totally forgot about that..well as hard as it may be..I guess work always has to come first. <_< Hugs, Nyah
  14. I saw the pictures already..and I needed a while to recover from them! *ggg* Dom looks just soooooooo incredibly sexy!!!!! God...*breath, breath that's the key* *ggg* As for Elijah: As far as I know he's been back in America to work on his new film. I could be wrong though...I wonder whether he's gonna be at the London premiere tonight... Hugs, Nyah
  15. Oh bless you, Kilteus! *hugs* That's very nice of you! :) Well..I guess by the time I booked the flight and then actually went to C4 I wasn't *really* thinking. Don't get me wrong..it's been great..no words about that..but it just could have been absolutely different. I mean I could have come all over from tiny little Lucerne to MK and could not have met anyone at all. I guess then the trip would have been rather annoying. But luckily it was exactly the opposite! :) I just really hope, that it will be the same at C5! I guess that's the trouble about conventions like these...you can never be 100%ly sure of whether you're gonna be able to meet someone or not, no matter where you come from. Hugs, Nyah
  16. Not going either...though today would more likely be the day for me to be upset! I wouldn't have gone to the premiere in London anyway, but I was actually playing with the thought of going to the one in Berlin. This is not gonna happen though! But anyway...I think, personally I'll never get as close to everyone as I got at C4...so it most likely would have been a waist of money and time to go to Berlin or London anyway....sometimes it's really annoying living in Switzerland! But well..let's do that..let's have some fun on the boards tomorrow night (it is tomorrow isn't it?!)...does anyone know someone who's going and who could update us with info...via text messages or whatever??!! That'd be cool!!! *g* Hugs, Nyah
  17. Mhh a part of me just doesn't want to put up with the fact, that all will be over soon...but I guess sooner or later I'll have to. The thing is, I was an LOTR Fan before the movies, but I never was that big a fan I am now, because of the movies. I got to know sooo many people throughout theses years, and it's simply been amazing. So I guess I'm a bit afraid that after ROTK all this will end. On the other hand I know that it won't. I mean the people you've made friends with throughout that experience will remain your friends even if there is no other movie. So I guess the spirit of LOTR will linger on.... Well and as you all said, I will also be following what the actors are gonna do in the future. Well...and as far as Dom is concerned I don't really have a lot to worry about...three new movies are yet to be released..so what more is there to wish for?! *g* Anyway..I hope they'll work together one time again. But I'm pretty sure they will. Dom just said at the LA ROTK Premiere, that he wants to do a movie with Orli, he's still writing on that script with Billy and he also said something about trying to work on something with Elijah next year. So there's definitely more to come from our boys! :) Hugs, Nyah
  18. Today's the day! Dom turns 27! I wish him all the best for the future and hope he's gonna have a lovely day! Hugs, Nyah
  19. I couldn't get it in Switzerland yet, either. Though the Renee Zwellweger one just miraculously disappeared about two or three days ago....it looked to me like they wanted to make space for the new one! *g* I hope they'll get it soon! :) Hugs, Nyah
  20. Same here! I was actually playing with the thought of going to the Berlin premiere...but since I spent such a lot of money in the past couple of months (a lot of it also was invested into C4 ;-) ) it's just not possible for me to go...but the thought that they're soooo close (okay, Berlin's still a few hours away from me, but at least Germany is one of the nearest countries to Switzerland) makes me sick!!! There is that huuuge longing inside me to go there, and then there is again reason that tells me, that it's not possible for me to go. So I understand EXACTLY how you must feel like, naurarwen! Hugs, Nyah
  21. yeah, I second that 100%, karamel-rose! Dom's being funny all the time and sometimes it's really hard to tell whether he's being serious or not. I guess one understands it better if one gets to know him better. But the way we know him it can only be guessing. I think he made that one up, too, though! Hugs, Nyah
  22. Me too!! It will be like December 2001! The month before FOTR was just amazing....everyone was talking about LOTR and I finally had people I could talk to!!!! And there were so many magazines to buy...god, I loved it...even though I spent quite a lot of money...but I guess that comes with it..*g*
  23. Yeah, the Dom picture's my favorite too!!!! I can't get enough of it!!!! Mhh..the elijah picture actually worked for me...don't know why it didn't show up for you, elijahs ladie! Hugs, Nyah
  24. check out this thread here or that page there to see some scans of the magazine! I sooooooooo hope I'm gonna be able to get a hold of that!!!!! Hugs, Nyah
  25. *getting a heart-attack* Beautiful??!!! That's not enough said, rachie!!!!!!! The Dom pic is....I can't find any words... And I wonder what it is he wanted to write on his hand again...he just loves doing that!! It's amazing!!! Which edition of the empire magazine is that?! I'm not sure but I might get the empire magazine in Switzerland...*hopes* Thanks for the link btw! Hugs, Nyah
