Any Team Starkid fans gonna be at LFCC this year? Or even if you only like Holy Musical B@man or only like Starship, let me know, it'll be nice to meet other Starkids.. also I may be doing a Starship cosplay on Friday night :)

No, as in Team Starkid. Darren Criss is/was part of them and still lives with one of them but it is by no means "Darren Criss' Starkids". He is a co-founder. Not the sole reason for their being and they are doing fine without him. Darren Criss fans don't always go down well amongst Starkids... especially when he did a webchat with them and people just kept coming on wanting to talk about Glee (someone even had the audacity/ignorance to ignore the others and go "I just want to speak to Darren". It's kind of unfair to the others and meant people who wanted to talk to the others as well didn't get through.

But aside from the mini-rant, yay Starkids! and Jemz, I know of you - I met Rob through this forum/at LFCC a few years back :-) I'm Jess :)

(I like Darren in Glee, btw, and he wrote/co-wrote a lot of my fave Starkid production, Starship, but yeah it doesn't go down well amongst more hardcore Starkid fans (i'm a bit of a newbie myself) if you act like it's 'his' production company or don't know who any of the others are/have only seen the Potter ones so just a friendly warning ;-))

excuse me, i do know what starkids are and i was just asking as many people dont know what the company is and only know darren criss, there is no need to be rude about it! and yeah they dont, i find many starkids quite stuck up because they "think" they knew of darren criss before glee, when i went to see him in london last year, fellow starkids actually laughed at girls wearing glee tshirts, i think its quite sad tbh

I didn't mean it as rude - hence the second post. Just i saw some of the backlash from some of the fans after the Starkid webcast where a lot of fans were unhappy with how it was advertised and with some of the people that came on and ignored the others. It's a bit lame for starkids to laugh at girls in glee t-shirts at a Darren Criss event as it wasn't a Starkid event so there were bound to be purely Glee fans there. You're right, they don't have 'dibs' on him, and some Starkids get super pedantic over what a 'true fan' is, but it must be very annoying for long-term/hardcore Starkids to get a bunch of Darren fans saying they 'love Starkid' but then only know AVPM and don't know any of the other songs or any of the rest of the team. It's like when people say they love a band just to sound cool but then only know a couple of songs/the biggest hits, I guess.  I'm a relatively new fan that actually hasn't seen AVPM/AVPS properly (try telling Starkids you're not actually fond of 'Back To Hogwarts' as a song, it was like admitting I committed a crime), it was the hype surrounding HMB that got me into it :-) I still need to see SPACE tour!

i know exactly what you mean, if you wore anything glee they would laugh at you and say pffft, etc, im sorry but must starkids fans actually annoy me as they feel they are soo much better then anyone else that likes DC, even though i have seen avpm and the sequels and starship and saw DC on broadway for how to succeed, i do like other star kid members (joey ritcher) etc but i think some fans are a bit toooo hardcore

I love Joey <3  I actually seem to like DC more outside of Starkid, for some reason, and even then there's other Glee people I like more heh :-/ Though he seems like an adorably dorky guy irl. But yeah, I think some don't understand people can love Glee -and- Starkid genuinely, they shouldn't tar all Darren/Glee fans with the same brush. Someone going on to a Starkid webcast (which was kinda advertised as 'Darren Criss and his starkids') and saying they 'just want to speak to Darren') didn't exactly help with the bad attitudes, I imagine.

But anyway yes truce? :-) If I go on Friday night I may be wearing my Starship Ranger costume :-)

Yeah, but as Alison from The Breakfast Club for my photo with AMH. If he cancels then i'll be either movie-version Enid from Ghost World or wear the Starship Ranger one again as it cost lots, lol (the trousers and shoes mainly). I don't think i'm going on Sunday anymore, can't really afford to stay two nights and there's only a few people i'm going for.

Yay awesome! Well I'll be Amy Pond on Friday night (not sure which outfit yet), Poison Ivy from Arkham City on Saturday so just look for the green lady! And young!Moira from American Horror Story on Sunday
