  1. Why did he feel the need to give us those films he calls the Prequels to Star Wars?
  2. While going through the stalls on Saturday, I came across a stall that was selling Friday the 13th/Jason hockey masks, and then going further down the table, I looked up and stopped in my tracks when I noticed Richard Brooker (Jason in Friday the 13th: Part III) was on the stall selling autographs. Thanks to the guys on the stall who got him there, I've been wanting to meet Richard for some time, especially since in past Showmasters events when they have had him, I've not been able to attend the days he was there. But I wish I knew before hand he was there, I didn't have the budget to get more then one autograph, and I ended up buying an extra copy of Friday 3 on DVD just for Richard to sign.
  3. Gotta say, I've met Christopher Lloyd at both Showmasters events he has attended and both times he was extremely busy. When it comes to busy guests, I can fully understand the lack of interaction that does tend to happen and I'm not gonna be picky about it at all. In all honesty, I'd rather the guest in question is able to get through as many people as possible, especially when VQ tickets numbers of say 500 or more have been given out. It'd disappoint a lot of people who can only make it to the event of one of the days, want to meet a busy guest and can't because of the sheer number of others who want to meet that guest and expect the guest to chat to them, answer their questions and so forth. Now yeah, I guess it's a downer if the guest doesn't look up at you, doesn't answer you if you ask how they are and so on, but it's gonna happen. Christopher was insane busy, and perhaps he had arrived at the show after getting off the jet, little to no time to relax and be ready? Not too sure but I know that happens. But as for this Mr. Loud Mouth, gotta say I agree. Dude was annoying, shouting out "MAKE SURE YOU HAVE UP TO TICKET NUMBER XX OR COME BACK LATER!!!" every minute and yet he wasn't even checking ticket numbers! I had ticket number 40 and I went to meet Christopher at say 12.00 when ticket numbers as high as 600 had been given out. So I joined the back of the queue, had my ticket ready to show, this guy is shouting his repeated line constantly, I'm standing more or less beside him, shouts what felt like directly into my ear, but didn't bother checking my ticket number or those in front of me. Kind of defeats the purpose shouting at people to have the right ticket number yet doesn't even check it. I know his there to do a job, but do it properly or not at all, and don't be a jerk about it. Afterall, we're paying customers and I don't like the fact the staff act like that. Not all the staff, a lot of the staff are great and very helpful, but there has to be one that takes it waaaay too seriously.
  4. While I was at the show today, I bought a photo shoot ticket for Robert Patrick for tomorrow, but I just noticed that when I got home, I was given a Robert Englund one. Is there a chance I can swap it for a Robert Patrick one when I come back tomorrow?
  5. I met Carl (my third time of meeting the man) and it was a pleasure like always. He was surprised when I gave him the episode guide booklet for my Tour of Duty: Season 3 DVD set, said he never sees many of those.
  6. Robert Patrick. Gotta get this guy because dude was the T-1000 AND Dogget in The X-Files as well as plenty of other decent roles.
  7. From autographs, entry fee, photoshoots and merch I got from COLLECTORMANIA LONDON, I spent around £680 that lone Saturday. And I would gladly give that amount again to Showmasters, the awesome guests they get for us and all the guys at the merchandise stalls then flog over 30p to a newspaper which slams the event because their journalist is crying like a little baby over John Barrowman.
  8. Well I do agree with BeatrixKiddo88 and James, we gotta remember that the remake will be hitting cinemas next year so it might be a sweet idea for an Elm Street reunion, I just think leave it for LFCC2010 or maybe an event closer to Halloween, not C16.
  9. Agreed, such a lovely woman. My only problem was there wasn't any photos of her character Alice from the Nightmare on Elm Street movies of her on her own, but that wasn't her fault at all. And she was shocked as hell when I told her I had recently seen her in the rarely seen Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventures TV series.
  10. Ah, well that's cleared things up for me. I was gonna take mine and offer it to him to use on one of the days to use during the his photoshoot and collect it afterwards. But if he has his own, then that's awesome.
  11. As much as I like anime, I am so meeting him for G.I.JOE: Resolute, that was an excellent little mini-series and I can't believe he did a total of seven characters, including the likes of Duke and Zartan. Wouldn't have thought those guys were all done by one man.
  12. I think you also gotta see the fact that people like Stewart, as big as they are, are usually going to be mainly remembered for one or two roles, in his case, Capt. Picard and to a lesser extent Professor Xavier. And that when he gets a constant stream of items of Star Trek and X-Men, it might annoy him. Now granted, if I were to meet Stewart, I would get a couple of Trek items signed, but I'm also hoping to get my DVD sleve of TMNT autographed as I'm a fan of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and enjoyed the voice work he did on that movie. Another person who is annoyed at being constantly reminded for one role (as far as I have heard) is Tom Wilson who played Biff in the Back To The Future series. I've heard he isn't doing anymore conventions because of it, which is a shame because although I do like the BttF series, I would have loved Wilson to autographed an animation cel to a character he voiced in Gargoyles I own. Hell, before The Matrix, Keanu Reeve's biggest fear was he was going to be remembered solely for the role of Ted. Of course there are people who are thankful for the roles they have played and the fans they have, like George Takei. I've never heard a foul word said against the man (other then from Shatner) and he seems very thankful for all the Trek fans support over the years. But when I met him, I asked him to sign my DVD copy of Godzilla Raids Again as he did voice work on the English dub that was produced and Takei was shocked to see it. It was late in the day and he said he had not been asked to autograph it before, not just at that show, but since the DVD's release. We then talk a good 5-10 minutes about his work before Trek. To me it seemed like he was happy to be acknowledge for some work outside of Trek. But anyways, back on topic, I would like to meet Patrick Stewart and if Showmasters does get him for another show and I do get the chance to meet him this time, I can be fully understanding if he isn't in the best of moods. And yes, while I would like a couple of Trek items signed, I have some other things Stewart has worked on that I would love autographed.
  13. I gave Casey Coller 3 Transformers DVD boxsets to TF shows he'd been wanting to see for years.
